Great location and friendly, helpful staff. Room had all the basics and I wasn't disturbed by noise, although as it's above a Wetherspoons, it could get a bit noisy outside in the evening.

The Elstree Inn is going through a refurbishment and I found it clean and had no other issues, except the WiFi was almost non existant. I would stay here again if I was in the area. @

Had travelled for the ZIMFEST show with my son and had booked for a check-in of between 23:00-00:00hrs. Due to the long traffic Jam at the Zimfest parking site, we only managed to arrive at the Inn for check-in just after 02:00, 2 hours after the check-in cut off time! The hosts still welcomed us. For that I am truly grateful as I know for a fact that my friends who had booked elsewhere were not allowed to check-in, resorting to drive back to their homes which were 3-4hours away, after a 2 hour long car park jam....I would recommend Elstree Inn a million times for their hospitality and adaptability.

All I wanted was a bed for the night without having to pay the ridiculously high prices that so many London hotels charge on Saturdays - and I certainly found it here. The man on the check-in desk was very friendly and humorous, and we had some great conversation! The accommodation itself is above a pub, so I popped down for a pint and grabbed a takeaway (there are plenty of options nearby) before getting some sleep. No noise or disturbance during the night, which was pleasantly surprising, and even though it was a warm night, there was a fan in the room. Would definitely recommend if all you need is a night's sleep at a competitive rate.

It was conveniently located right on the Main Street, right by a ton of restaurants and cafes you can go to. It was tucked away so you don’t have to deal with a ton of people walking by and coming through. The value you get from this inn for the price, location and amenities is worth it. The staff at the Inn were super helpful and always a pleasure to greet when I came back or left.

This is not something they can change, but depending on your room, you may feel like you have a maze to go through. My room required going up a flight of stairs, 3 different doorways and many halls. It’s just the layout of the place, but it can be disorientating. I also would’ve liked if they had more information on the services they provided and the costs, such as laundry. I needed to do laundry (one load) and it costs me 10 pounds in which i had to do the laundry myself and I had to pay in cash. It was fine at the end of the day, but very annoying as I wanted to go out but couldn’t because of my laundry.

the rooms are spotless, they give you more than everything you need (extra teas, coffee, sugars, milks and water). the entire hotel is well designed and the rooms are very spacious and they’ve made the best of the space they have. the cleaning staff (in particular Ulga) is an absolute delight, so friendly and helpful with a smile on her face always no matter how early in the morning it is. also the guy who runs the hotel, Tom, is such a asset to the company. he goes above and beyond to assist the guests with any issues they may have. he always is smiling and cheerful and for me personally Tom has been a great help and support for some personal issues that i had while staying at the hotel for an extended period of time. he made sure i was comfortable and not worrying about not being safe during my stay there. i really can’t say enough good things about this hotel and its staff! i highly recommend it recommend staying here for anyone that wants a clean, happy and very reasonably priced stay in Borehamwood

can’t fault them at all

The single en-suite room was cosy, and once I turned on the radiator it was lovely and warm. The small space was used well, with a few hangers for clothes which need to be hung. Great that the room had a fridge. The en-suite cubicle in the room was good - it made a little noise when using the water but not for long. The shower was a good flow and temperature. The staff on the front desk were really lovely and helpful. I didn’t mind climbing the stairs but if you struggle with that, it’s best to pre-book on a lower floor. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

It was clean, but you could see a little wear and tear. Nothing that bothered me.

Localization and staff. The man from the reception saved us from being late for the plane. He ordered a taxi for us and waited with us and he will come comforting us that we would make it, and we made it in time :D so thank you again Sir! The room was very comfortable, the bathroom was a little small but it had what you needed. We got fresh towels every day. The hotel is located quite close to the centre. Just take the metro, which is about 10 minutes from the hotel, or the bus, which is a few minutes away. We felt very safe there. I highly recommend it!

Low pressure in the shower.

I booked a double room with En-suit bathroom. The room was a good size, and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable, with mattress on the firm side ( just how I like it ). The bathroom had free toiletries and a good size shower cabinet with nice and hot water. This accommodation was exceptionally clean, the cleanest I ever stayed in. The sign to the entrance was a little off so I had to call the team to get in but no other issues. Close to train station and all shops. The location doesn’t disappoint either. Strongly recommend to anyone!

Firstly the manager is a gentlemen so helpful and makes you feel welcome from the start...I have stayed twice now and the first time I arrived 10ish at night was the same as arriving in the afternoon polite professional..very courteous to any needs..the hotel and rooms are comfortable and well maintained...it is obviously decorated on a regular basis...also it is very quiet at night considering its focused location on a highstreet which is also a bonus to be access to all varieties of food on your doorstep...I'm very impressed and will be staying again

This is a family owned property and they were lovely! The room smelled amazing when we walked in and they even arranged the towels into bows as an added ‘cute’ extra. The room was so clean and the beds were very comfortable. I love that there was a small refrigerator in the room and there was bottled water for all of us as well. The area had access to so many different restaurants, cafes, eateries and some shops, all within walking distance and the pub below had delicious food and was very reasonably priced.

The only minor downside was that the first room overlooks the back entrance to the pub and patrons would smoke out there. It could be a bit loud during business hours but if you’re out and about, it’s a non-issue!
