Very different from your normal hotel, where you go to the reception get your key here you liaise over the phone with a lady very friendly and very nice. She gives you a code to pick up your key . You go to your room. The room was very clean. I was very impressed with the little touches of the water and coffee and tea facilities and the bathroom was very nice with shower gel and hand wash.

There is restaurant downstairs normally when I do stay at the normal types of Hotels .I would normally get a bucket full of ice glasses for celebrating a birthday or anniversary but because it’s two separate venues unfortunately, I wasn’t able to do that however I did purchase a brandy & Coke from down in the restaurant. It was very pricey..also the remote control battery wasn’t working that well did call the manager he said the batteries were putting the wrong way round, but the remote control was working but very slowly. The batteries just needed replacing.

Bathroom - shower easy to use: no difficulty re tap, hot and cold. Excellent bath towels - size, nap, etc. Bedroom - bed a good size and comfortable. Good tea-making facilities. Lots of powerpoints (although 3 below the television set did not seem to work - but it did not matter as many in other locations - near bed (for phone charger, etc). Also I didn't bring my phone charger with me. Proprietor had none for borrowing however suggested store directly across the road - which did have same for samsung and i-phone which was a real plus - and I will now keep permanently in that particular overnight case. Reception is by phone so be ready for calls from Nap Inn so that you can locate your room.

Lighting - bedside light on either side of the bed, but could have been higher wattage for brighter levels and easier for reading in bed. Bathroom - soap and shampoo combined in one bottle (one for shower, one for handbasin) and no conditioner: I find the lack of conditioner in so so many hotels now to be a real drawback. Also - I did want to leave my luggage to return to collect after completing business, but could not obtain info whether this was possible. Fortunately the business call I made was not averse to having the small case in the conference room.

Good communication via email/ messages before checking in. Easy to get to from A1. Free Parking if you get in early enough to get a space. Exceptionally clean. Very friendly staff. Very comfortable bed and pillows. My single room has a big double bed. Tube station about 12 minutes walk away. Lots of cafes and restaurants close by. Fisk! restaurant just downstairs. Really nice neighbourhood.

Website should give EN5 5XA as post code as EN5 5SZ won’t get you into their actual car park/ main entrance area but only to the front of the Fisk restaurant which is at the other end of the building. No sound insulation so could hear a lot of noise from the restaurant downstairs and everything from the corridor and quite a lot from the other rooms close to my room.

Could be described as quite basic ,but it was perfectly functional for our purposes, the staff and patrons were very friendly and helpful , the room was clean , spacious and was in a very well kept state,with plenty of storage space for 2 .Bathroom quite large with all you needed fresh towels and toiletries etc.The instructions given to reach the parking area were simple enough to follow. Situated just off the main road was a bonus that made it a little quieter. It does have its own restaurant, however after a refurbishment opened on the day we left so can’t comment on it. But wish them well. Plenty of options for other eateries nearby as well as pubs ,and do check out Dory’s cafe if you get chance,!

Could do with a little tlc in places like the decor, chips and scratches and flaking paint on outside walls etc.apart from that everything was fine for us , however it’s each to their own,and others may totally disagree with our view.

The room and bathroom were immaculately clean and spacious and looked newly refurbished. The bed very comfortable, I had a very good nights sleep. Ample tea and coffee selection and the bottles of water were a nice touch. As the hotel was set back from the High Street and the room was towards the back, it was quiet, but its central location made it very convenient for Barnet centre and also close to the underground. I also found it was near to lots of green open areas, ideal for a morning walk.

The room was very warm, but I could turn down the thermostat. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open as I stayed on a Monday.

I showed up hours before my expected check-in time and the staff was eager to get me in as soon as possible. So much so that I was offered the biggest room at the hotel since it was the only one available when I arrived. Super generous

A microwave would've been handy to have during my stay since, as a tourist, we had no access to a kitchen to prepare food. Had to eat out majority of the stay but, otherwise, a decent stay

When we arrived we were met by a very friendly and welcoming lady. The room and ensuite bathroom we were given were very clean and a good size. There was a free bottle of water for each of us, various teas and coffee, and 2 packets of biscuits. Which was very nice.

I think that a small fridge to keep extra drinks cold would have been nice, especially if you are staying for a couple of nights. Also, for the number of rooms at the Nap Inn, there isn't enough parking on site, and the surrounding area is resident parking only, which is a bit disappointing.

Staff was very welcoming and supportive to my request. They even cleaned the room first to accommodate my arrival time. Such a huge help and I was very grateful for it. The room was small but very nice, clean & exactly what was needed. Perfect location, reasonably priced and would definitely stay here again.

Only negative is the lack of parking options but that's a Barnet problem in general, not this hotel's specifically

Spotless. Lovely room and ensuite with good quality bedding and towels. Fully replenished tea coffee and biscuits every day. Quiet even though over a restaurant there really was no noise. Large tv and good area for hanging clothes and keeping luggage. Light large room (we booked a deluxe double) which was such good value for money. Met by lovely lady who checked us in. Our son lives in High Barnet so we will be returning here every time now.

We did not have breakfast & the location was ideal for our visit to relatives in Barnet. Room very spacious, clean, had all the necessary amenities & bed, pillows extremely comfortable - great.

No grab rail to get into bath to take a shower. No slip mat in bath, didn’t feel safe. Alleyway poorly lit at night to get to room 10. Grey steps outside not illuminated & sharp corners. Stairs to Room 10 quite difficult to climb & descend, in places no handrail & especially difficult with suitcase.
