After arrival I found no food service in bat but after speaking to the manager (Marco who was fabulous) he served some sandwiches as I have 82yr old family member with me so was very welcome. Jo in reception was lovely and very welcoming. Marco even sorted sandwiches for our next day event which was lovely. Staff who go above and beyond make the experience all the better. The location is great for Elstree and the history of the place great.

Minor that room has no hairdryer but borrowed from another room so no biggy. It was advised rooms are being done up so expected that when entering.

Clean, comfortable, spacious and really, really quiet during the night and in early morning (stayed during the week; cannot comment on weekends). Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice to find a Nespresso coffee machine in the room, and complimentary biscuits made by their Pastry Chef Vikki were absolutely delicious! Breakfast was good and plenty of choices (again, sweet pastries were amazing!). Will only be staying at The Manor from now on, when attending appointments at ROH in Stanmore.

The only downside was lack of a proper coffee machine at breakfast. Although there is one in the room, it would be nice to have one at breakfast too. Filtered coffee was not very pleasant, but that’s the only downside, really. I would still 100% stay at The Manor again!

The Manor was a pleasant surprise for us! We didn’t know what to expect, but the staff and the building itself far exceeded our expectations. The staff was so friendly, even explaining all of the woodwork and the history of the manor. We plan on returning, and this will be our go to place any time we are staying in or near London. Thank you to the entire Manor team for an unforgettable experience.

The rooms were very far away and in some dark, hidden basement type place. We still enjoyed the room tremendously, it just felt spooky walking around below with no idea where we were or what was lurking around each corner hahaha

What a peaceful location but does need a car or taxi to reach it. Beautiful Tudor building and surroundings. Room was supposed to be a twin but it was a very large. Myself and my friend didn't mind because we knew it was only one night and it was going to be a late finish. Breakfast was amazing. Huge spread to suit both meat eaters and vegetarians and you could sit outside on the terrace in the sunshine watching the world go buy. Lovely sweet little bar to have a drink while in comfy chairs but unfortunately we did not have time. Would have been more than happy to have stayed for a weekend.

Beautiful location ,loved all the old features ,the bed was so comfortable as was the manor ..the staff were lovely ,particularly the lady on reception who checked us in ,breakfast was delicious!

If I’m being picky some minor repairs to the interior need doing ,wall paper peeling off in certain areas and our lampshade on the side table was just balancing on top of the stand and not fitted correctly..minor details .The breakfast area was uncomfortably hot and the sunshine ,though lovely was streaming through the windows causing people to move seating around to avoid the glare ..curtains or blinds would have helped

Hi, the manor house is a beautiful hotel. We planned to stay for one night only but we liked it so much that we stayed for 2. Joanna on reception has been there for 15 years. She gave us a great price for our 2nd night and was super helpful and friendly. It was very clear to see that she's a people person. She told us that the property used to belong to an Admiral and dates back to 1820. There are original beams and woodwork in the foyer area that are supposedly from a Spanish galleon. Anyway...I would highly recommend this hotel, great staff, great accommodation and great surroundings. We both loved it. Special shoutout though to Joanna. She's was brilliant.

excellent, right on time, good customer service . The hotel got this embrace that makes you feel at home. The smile on the faces of they workers was welcoming. Service was on point the receptionist was also doing a great job by welcoming me with a warm smile.

A beautiful building set in a great location. Staff were excellent. So helpful and friendly and willing to help in any way. Breakfast was delicious. We felt the price was correct overall when contrasted with the updating the hotel could do with making. However we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again as we felt it represented good value.

I would agree with other reviews that there are areas in need of a referb. Just some paint and new carpet would make a massive difference. We booked two rooms and one of the rooms was not good. Broken safe, used soap bar, clearly not been cleaned well. In fairness the hotel moved us straight away but it wasn’t great. Equally our other room was clean but there was dust on frames, and the carpet didn’t appear hoovered.

Super king bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. Large spacious room. Lovely breakfast. Good parking. Very friendly reception staff. Great to see oat milk and vegan spread available at breakfast. Lovely to have coffee machine and bar fridge in room.

Had to request hand soap for bathroom, as none left by housekeeping and tea bags were not all refilled for second night stay. Guest bed had very thin mattress and was not comfortable at all. Key cards did not work on second night and had to be reset. Felt rushed to order hot breakfast as soon as we sat down, which meant that it was cold by the time we had finished our cereal/toast. This is not to say that we wouldn't return again.

Location to Stanmore Hospital (our destination) was 7 mins- fab. The staff we met were all very polite & chatty. Evening menu was good & reasonable, we ate in the bar area as there was a midweek wedding on & restaurant would have been too loud next door. Our room was fine, bed really comfy. Heating came on in bedroom through the night, which may or not be a good thing. It was certainly warm. 🥵 All in all though a good nights stay.

Bathroom basic but clean, (tiles all very clean) although wood panelling under bath looks a bit tired and repaired crack in the sink wasn’t great. The shower pole came out of its holder as soon as you tried to adjust the height, it could be put back in, just messing about when you’re trying to get showered.
