Ah, where to begin, darling? To describe my fondness for this establishment merely as “liking” it is akin to saying Beethoven dabbled in music, or that the Sistine Chapel has a nice ceiling. No — this hotel was not a mere temporary lodging. It was a sanctuary of curated opulence, a shrine to human achievement in soft-close drawers and artisanal soap. Let us first discuss the scent — oh, the scent! The lobby exhaled an aroma so refined, so maddeningly elusive, that I’m convinced it was crafted by perfumiers who weep when they bottle beauty. A bouquet of bergamot, ambition, and possibly generational wealth. The bed — a cloud, yes, but not the type that floats in the sky. No, this was a cloud that had attended finishing school in the Alps and now wafted down nightly to cradle my vertebrae in memory foam wrapped in Egyptian cotton spun by the hands of unhurried monks. The staff — hauntingly efficient. You’d press a button and moments later, a butler would appear, not walking, but materialising, as if summoned from another realm. I began to wonder if they were trained in Hogwarts or simply manufactured in a kindness lab beneath the hotel itself. And the minibar — a veritable gallery of tiny opulence! Almonds that had clearly been groomed, massaged, and told they were enough. A single Toblerone, smugly reclining as though it knew it had never been purchased and never would be. A bottle of water so expensive I considered financing it over three months. Oh — and the toilet. Heated. Intelligent. Possibly sentient. At one point, I believe it tried to contact NASA. The artwork in the corridor? Undoubtedly abstract. Possibly accidental. Definitely priced beyond comprehension. Each piece whispered, “You don’t understand me,” which, ironically, made me feel understood. The elevator? Operated with the gravitas of a small opera. Each ding was a sonnet. I rode it for sport. In sum, the hotel didn’t just accommodate me — it elevated me. Spiritually. Aesthetically.

Location is right next to the town centre 2 minute walk, rooms were spacious, clean and shower was the usual nice size you expect from the Holiday Inn. Breakfast was good with all the standard offerings, what was of note is that there was also offerings for people who had no time to sit down and eat. Staff were friendly and accommodating, but were not knowledgeable to our booking requests as we checked in, which was disappointing.
Biggest disappointment was the parking which was not available due to works. This was not notified through Booking.com and cost us an extra £20 since we had to use the carpark next door. If we had known we would have chosen another location.

It’s lovely and cleannice bright.
ROOM 216 OMG the mattress was so hard it’s hurt my back, so I didn’t get any sleep, and ended up sleeping in the car on the way home.. when we have stayed there before the bed was lovely. Also the air conditioner was very loud and could not feel any air coming out, in the end I turned it off and opened the window. I think the bed is in the wrong place for the air conditioner it needs to be on the opposite wall In November we are staying at the Birmingham one close to the NEC I just hope that bed is better. The breakfast was lovely as always.

Absolutely everything!!! I can not give anything but great feedback. Everything from the excellent customer service I received when checking in to the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel. I would just like to say a massive thank you to the staff. The reception staff went out the way to be friendly, kind and quickly brought to my room a few extra things I needed also the CC cleaning staff on landing 2 was absolutely lovely. Was always friendly and kind no matter how busy she was.

Overall, my first time at a Holiday Inn, even though I live locally to the area, however have stayed in many a hotel that wasn't by IHG. Very friendly staff, always polite and really helpful.
In all honesty, I found the all day breakfast a tad too greasy with some of what was on offer, mainly the hash browns. Did also notice that there's not much of a selection for guests who have a limited diet / limited pallet due to neurological conditions such as autism.

Perfect stay Stayed the night before a flight from Stansted, so we just wanted a bed for the night. And okTalk about exceeding expectations! Once inside the hotel, it’s great. Everything’s really clean, bright and welcoming. The two reception staff were incredibly helpful, kind, efficient and friendly. Aspasia (I think thy was her name) went out of her way to help with another Holiday Inn booking, too. The room was excellent, well-appointed, fresh and clean. Had a quick drink in the bar which was also welcoming. Really set us up for our holiday. Highly recommended 👍 PS cheap parking too - £7 for 24hrs

Nice hotel within a little shopping area. Had an issue with the temp in the room but this was rectified quickly and a new room found which was ideal. Lovely self service breakfast and then shopping on the retail park nearby.
Hotel didn’t inform us of no car park so had to use multi story at the back of the hotel which looked run down and not a good place to leave your car. Turned out ok and was only £6 for 24hrs

Easy check in. Nice room, comfortable bed and pillows. Staff lovely, helpful and friendly. Had to park in the car park next door ( a very quick easy walk), which cost around £4.50. Breakfast was good. Definitely recommend
Sofa in our room was damaged and unsightly. Shower flooded in tray. A bit of a grotty walk from and to the car park. Breakfast was good, but bacon undercooked, and the coffee machine was poor.

Stayed here a few times , the rooms are perfect for a one/two night break, comfortable, clean, showers are excellent. The breakfast is really nice for a buffet brekkie, with a good selection of continental as well as non greasy cooked ... The hash browns are excellent
Just the location in Harlow town centre, it's not off putting, I'm just not a fan of the area around by police station and job centre

The room was good. Staff were polite.
The room was an adjacent room with only a turn lock which wasn't good as there were other people in the next room. As two woman we felt a bit unsafe. The hotel is being refurbished and the parking was closed so had to park in the public car park near the hotel, so felt the hotel should be covering the cost of the overnight stay as it would have been included in the price anyway.
