The accommodation was clean and the parking is convenient. Good quiet sleep at night. The overall location is very pleasant.

I arrived at 7:45pm and was told that the Bar Restaurant served food but best to take the 10 minute walk across the site to there by 8:15. When I got to the restaurant, I was curtly told that the kitchen closed at 7:30pm sharp. All I could have was a cake that was still on display or leftover a yoghurt with granola. Not even a sandwich. Staff were not helpful. There is no breakfast in the Bar until 9am and then only cooked not cereals etc.

The area is lovely, staff where pleasant enough had all that we needed.

The area is out of the way which means if you need anything it's a bit of a pain, train station is only next to it though but for full experience would be better with a car

Loved the room, it was large and clean, bar the odd cobweb. Bed was comfy for partner who likes soft beds but too soft for me. Staff were lovely and friendly. Indian restaurant onsite did nice food but a bit pricey, more expensive than London. Fab location if looking to purchase a boat or explore Roydon. All in all a nice little place to stay.

I have pet allergies and could tell that a pet had been in the room because I had trouble breathing at night and my eyes were stinging, swelling and closing up and going bloodshot. I have nothing against dogs, in fact I'd love to have one but having my breathing affected is quite a major problem. You couldn't see any sign of animals in the room but if you have pet allergies this could be a problem as it was for me.

This was a very pleasant hotel, with a very interesting surroundings of an amazing marina. We really enjoyed our peaceful room and the options for foods on the site. The marina clubhouse was great.

Unfortunately, there was no one on the desk when we arrived, which was a worry for us, as we needed to get our car booked in. But, I have later realized that I missed some of the information re the desk times and I also wasn't able to access my email, where they had sent a request for our arrival info. We had to call a number and a site security guard arrived and was very pleasant.

We were upgraded from a room to a whole chalet, can't remember exactly why, but it was much appreciated. Breakfast was nice, but scrambled eggs were originally overcooked, so they made us some more, which were fine - thanks!

Location is beautiful and lovely spacious family room. Our room was vacant so the lady on reception generously let us into our room a bit early. This was greatly appreciated ... we were able to get changed as going to a family christening. Beds comfortable and our daughter loved the bunk beds!!

The Boathouse was a lovely location but breakfast was a little disappointing. Scrambled eggs were tasteless ( possibly powdered or liquid). The full breakfast was rather small half a rasher of bacon.

Brilliant staff, lovely rooms, excellent location. Our friends are moored on the marina, one of whom is about to work at the on-site café, she's an excellent chef so you'll be in for a treat. It's close to the train station so getting to London or Cambridge is easy. Lots of walks, too.

Our room didn't get refreshed, so we ran out of coffee. A short walk to the reception and asked for more, easy fix, not a complaint though. No, we didn't have a Do Not Disturb sign on the door, as we never found it.

I stayed in one of the superior double rooms and loved the fact that I could park right outside the room and enter my room via the patio doors. It felt more private which I liked. There were facilities around the area like laundry and there is an Indian restaurant attached to the hotel which is great! Rooms are cleaned everyday, with towels being replenished daily.

The key fobs. There is a large room number plate that is on the keyring for the room which makes it difficult to fit in a pocket. The keys jangle quite loudly when opening any doors, so I was very conscious of waking people early in the morning.

The room was very clean and the bed linen was fresh, the tea and coffee was well stocked (and much needed). The TV service was very good, and it was great to be able to use the Iplayer. The heating facilities were good, and able to give a quick boost as the outside temperature did drop quite low during the night, the bathroom was clean and well equiped.

My only gripe was the outside lighting which stayed on all night - which i appreciate it should be but the curtains were quite thin so the room never really got dark.

Nice & clean , nice and modern , nice outside space for morning coffee if weather is good . Tea & coffee in room , easy working TV .

Room was absolutely freezing to the point that we couldn't get undressed to start with as you could see your breath in room ! The heating had been switched off ! It wasn't untill the morning that room actually warmed up , this really spoilt our sleep there as was a very cold frozen night outside , venue knew we were checking in late would of only needed someone to check that heating was switched on !
