Chose to stay here for convenience so we could attend an event nearby and follow up with a walk in the Lee Valley the next day. Great location for both. Hadn't stayed in YHA for many years so were pleasantly surprised to do it without younger family this time - and would happily do so again. Close to the train station for our event. Countryside location was excellent with walks on the doorstep. Room was spacious with own shower and toilet and clean comfortable bedding. Brought or own towels. Slept well with occasional banging of doors but to be expected. Got caught up with the breakfast queue in the morning with the large groups of school children but didnt mind that as it confirmed it was poular and well used. Could have eaten a half an hour earlier or later to avoid them. Had 1 continental and 1 cooked breakfast. It was hot weather so great that there was a water station for refills. A good outside seating area and plenty of parking. No curfew and could get back late with our own door fob. Would take out membership with all the benefits.

Could have been a better choice for continental breakfast by adding a yoghurt and some fruit. No coffee, only tea. Cooked veggie breakfast was small but more was offered once the groups had dispersed, so maybe it was due to that? For that reason would eat when the groups are not around. Would prebook next time with benefits of discount for membership.

The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and we had the use of a kitchen which was well appointed. We were able to leave our car in the car park overnight whilst we went into London on the train. We took our own breakfast with us but we could have had breakfast communally in the hostel. Our room was in a lodge with 4 other bedrooms sharing the kitchen. Our room was ensuite. We would definitely stay there again. It was very handy for the station for travelling into London.

Our only slight gripe was the hardness of the mattresses on our single beds. However the receptionist gave us a spare duvet which was placed on top of the mattress and made it comfortable.

Everything It's 5 minutes walk from the train station .It's 25 minutes to central . The place is just amazing , in only 20 minutes you have forgotten about the noise and the horns and the rush the traffic , the pollution ....you're in the middle of the nature . It's peaceful and quiet ,all that you need after a week of big city life !! I Arrived at the property 00:00 at night worried if I'm going to find the property if someone going to be still in the reception ; From the moment I stept out of the train ,within 10 minutes I was in my room , more accessible and faster than in central London sometimes !!! I highly recommend !!!

Breakfast good value and tasty Very helpful staff on reception and in the canteen. Cleaner was also friendly. Night porter seemed a bit grumpy having to open the gate to let us in at 1am, but I can't blame him really! Location is lovely, wish we'd had more time to explore, Price was very reasonable, we would stay again.

People upstairs making a lot of noise stomping about at 5am, and then leaving the lodge talking very loudly at 6.20am. There are signs saying to be quiet between 11pm and 7am, but maybe staff could emphasize this rule verbally too.

We stayed for a trip to White Hart Lane to watch the football. Perfect location as 2 min walk to Cheshunt station which was then just 6 stops to White Hart Lane. As a family of 5 often difficult to get accommodation in hotels unless 2 separate rooms booked which ends up very expensive. This was perfect as we had a family dorm room with 4 bunk beds and our own bathroom. Use of communal kitchen if we should have needed it. Facilities were basic but perfect for our needs. Would stay again!

It was great value for money. There was ample parking available. The staff at the property were all friendly and provided us with all the necessary information.

Some updating/maintenance required in the rooms. For example in the room I stayed in, the coat hanger on the wall was not secure, and very loose. The taps in the toilet/bathroom just spray out single jets, and not a smooth and even stream of water. Taps are maybe like that by design - but, needs updating (in my opinion). Not all all the bedside lamps were working in the room. There were a number of ladybugs in the room that we spotted. Some simple maintenance is needed, which would help provide a better experience of the accommodation.

I loved the location, which is surrounded by such a beautiful nature reserve, with huge lakes, wildlife and amazing birds. The lodges were designed beautifully to fit into the environment and the staff were friendly.

There was very little to fault, but I found the beds a bit hard. I did have a back injury at the time and it wasn't a problem, as I was able to use a spare mattress on top and this worked well.

check in was quick, information decent, layout very cute.

I told staff I had only come to get the key and then go to a gig, because internet says check in is only until midnight. receptionist apologised said I could have come whenever as there's always someone on shift. so change the listing on the website please!! also the 2 usb slots on bottom bunk didn't work so I had to use top bunk.. could have done with little bedside lamps too

Very cheap, very clean and in a good location right by a train station. Looked just like the pictures and staff were very helpful too! Allowed us to use their luggage room as we arrived before check in, and parking was free too which was great!

In other YHA’s when I have arrived earlier than the check in time, they still allowed me to show my ID’s and sort everything out for check in, and then return after check-in time to collect my keys however, I was unable to do that here which was a shame. There was also no wifi even though the website says there is and the heating didn’t really work in the room but this didn’t impact our stay at all and we still thoroughly enjoyed.

Spacious room, Value for families, Next to train station and supermarket,Nice sharing kitchen. Exploring London still possible using trains and tubes.

Wifi is only at reception implying we have to go and sit over there. Direct gate to the blocks are closed and hence we have to authorize keys at three locations to reach the room. Knife to be collected from reception for safety reasons.
