The room was comfortable, warm on one of the coldest weekends of the year, and well appointed. The bathroom perhaps needs an upgrade soon. The staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was exceptional. Lots of choice and warm when needed to be.

Booking.com mentioned that breakfast was included in the price for sole occupancy of a room. The hotel were not aware of this and I paid for two breakfasts. Once I found the appropriate email from booking.com showing the inclusion of breakfast, the hotel immediately refunded the cost of the breakfasts. Some co-operation beetween Booking.com and the hotel needs attention.

The gym is a massive win! I’d have to look for an alternative hotel if it wasn’t there. Perfect in relation to the areas available to use within the hotel, quiet, comfortable rooms with attention to detail. Staff in the restaurant are so so so welcoming - they are one of the reasons I keep coming back. Just all round excellent care during my recent 14 night stay. The cleaners are very accommodating too. The reception staff (all bar one) are always welcoming and go out of their way to make me feel comfortable and deal with any of my requests like they are no trouble at all. I love coming back becUse I know they just get the kind of service I need - thank you to them all :-)

The property is lovely. Bring back some male and female saunas and I’ll be forever grateful! Also, the air conditioning is rather odd. Is et it to 15 to cool the room down, but it’s definitely not 15. During the warmer days, the restaurant is also sometimes too warm. Just small details that would make it so perfect - I’d still come back though because of the staff.

The room was perfect, very clean, not too overstated, very comfortable and I was able to relax and ground myself which was the reason for my stay

Room service could have been better, I ordered a meal and it took them 1.5 hours to deliver it and thats after two phone calls from me. They said something about the computer didnt send the ticket? having diabetes, I need to eat on time so that was very annoying. They didnt charge me for the meal in the end, so I guess they redeemed themselves in this instance, but things like that can be off putting. I didnt order anything else from room service - just in case.

Everything was wonderful, staff brilliant!

On arrival a better explanation on how payment is taken because we did not understand why we were being asked to pay what we thought was already paid. Caused confusion and made leaving a little awkward as being disabled, I was organised for the lnf trip back to Wales and was held up. We are elderly folk and needed reception to explain what was going on when we arrived and then we would not have thought we were paying twice over. Just a minor thing but was worrying to my 80 yr old husband who finds technology a massive problem. It got sorted but the delay was a worry to us.

Room very spacious and bright, had a wonderful outlook over the garden. All the facilities that you would want. Everywhere exceptionally clean and the bed wonderfully comfortable. The most outstanding asset of all was the staff in every area , reception , dining at evening and breakfast . The staff exceptionally well trained, so very lovely and engaging - can only sing their praises - absolutely outstanding.

Nothing could have been improved upon it was true value for money and a lovely stay - we were in the Mal Maison in Manchester the weekend before and it was not the best experience and did not compare.

We stayed at this particular hotel a few times we find the hospitality welcoming especially over New Year’s Eve. One of the girls operating the front desk name of Charlotte. She was very helpful very polite and made us stay warm and welcoming and I wish to thank her very much for making us stay very pleasant in fact it was so good. We booked another night and stayed there an extra day and evening.

It’s clean. It’s tidy and well managed and my brother has many functions there with the Freemasons.

I was well received by the staff. I had booked for 2 nights, the rooms were clean & everything was as desired. During departure in the morning there was a leak in my hotel room. The manager, together with the staff, handled this well, and I was immediately offered another room and was allowed to join the breakfast for free. My greatest appreciation goes to Anitta! What a good service this sweet woman provides, she was also super sweet to my 3 children. We will definitely come back!

The breakfast staff were amazing especially Anita. They couldn't do more for us, and Anita went out of her way for my son to get as many pancakes as he could eat. The size of the room itself was excellent. We loved the 2 beds and sofa with extra chair too!

The bathroom was very disappointing. The attention to detail here was awful. There was a tile broken on the side for the bath. There was mould around the edges of the bath and mirror.

Location was great for going to a 50th party in Epping. Taxi from hotel was reasonable. Bar service in hotel was rather slow and no Pinot Grigio wine available at the time but found an alternative. The lady wasn’t sure what she was doing! Good choice of seating there. Good choice of food at breakfast - however, some of the ‘hot’ food was almost cold so a bit disappointing. Overall though, the hotel was perfect for a one night stay.

Some of the hot breakfast food was almost cold eg fried eggs, tomatoes and sausages.

All the staff we encountered in the hotel provided excellent customer services and were super friendly, clearly they all take pride in their work and enjoy working here. They were providing a service that was on par with many 5 start hotels. Particular thanks to Anitta and the male member of staff in the bar who went above and beyond making us comfortable with 2 fussy children who'd had a long day travelling.

The lack of lift made it slightly difficult getting luggage too and/from the room. Not the end of the world for us, but could be an issue for older people or those with mobility issues.
