My stay was a trip down memory lane, as I had worked as a teenager at the Hunter's Meet restaurant and even the service station (which existed back in the '70s when petrol was cheaper and sideburns were longer). Obviously, there have been many changes, all for the better, since I was last there, but still, the soul and charm of the place that I fondly recall remain. The owner, Brendan, very kindly lent me some garden tools to tend to family graves at the local church - the reason for my short trip to Hatfield Heath. This I really did appreciate....proof that kindness hasn’t gone out of style, even if flared trousers have. Thanks again, Brendan!

Nothing could have been better; it was a joy to revisit.

Where do I start! From the start I was greeted by lovely and friendly young women, check in was easy, everything was explained to me and my wife. Room was great!!(48) that evening we decided to eat in the pub restaurant, and did not disappoint!! Great staff!Food was fantastic, I had steak pie, and wife had the sea bass, and we shared a dessert, which was orange cake with custard!! Great atmosphere!! Then breakfast was also great, then as I checked out I had a great Conversation with the man behind the counter, (we went to same status quo concert in the 70s) Hunters meet did not disappoint!! Thanks to all the staff

Realky good room size, nice and quiet. Well equipped could do with a mini fride but had a fan and ironing board so overall very good. Lovely staff in particular Tanya who was very helpful and accommodating. Ecellent breakfast. For a B&B it had decent facilities. Had pampering facility so book ahead if interested. Would have loved some kind of treatment but should have booked ahead of time. Good value. Would consider returning. More plus points than negative.

Areas that could be improved, cleanliness in the spa area around the swimming pool. Sauna in steam room floors need a clean. But a nice facility. Bed ok, but personally didnt find it the most comfortable

The location was great, near STN, but far enough away to be better value for money and far more peaceful. Attractive entrance with nice plants and flowers. The staff were all super-friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely, The room and bathroom were nice and clean and warm. Shower was good. The pool was fab, with warm water, (so often at a hotel the pool water is freezing). Great sauna and other facilities. I liked that there was a pretty outdoor seating area, though weather wasn't warm enough to use it. Very enjoyable stay thank you.

The only couple of things not great for me were I found the bed a little hard, and the carpet in our room could do with replacing. Otherwise everything was lovely.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very good. Room was clean and tidy with toiletries supplied on a daily basis. The Hunters Meet is a very busy local pub and restaurant where various things go on. These include Weddings, wakes, evening shows, etc. There is also a spa with a swimming pool, which we were unable to make use of whilst we were there. We did enjoy our stay as it proved to be a good base for places we were able to visit whilst staying there. These included Duxford IWM (excellent), the city of Cambridge. Then to Anglesey Abbey and the American cemetery near Cambridge ( a very sober reminder). The weather was also very good, which made for a good break to somewhere we had not really been before.

As we have mentioned with the Hunter Meet being so busy one could find, at times, parking slightly difficult. Also, it is close to a fairly busy road, which can, for some, prove an obstacle for lighter sleepers. However, one must accept these things when the accommodation is a few miles from a busy airport and therefore compromises may have to be made.

I've stayed a couple of times over the past years and it never let's me down. We were only there for 1 night and I simply can't thank them enough for such a lovely time. As always the food is first class, great value, so flavourful, well presented and an amazing choice of wholesome food All of the staff always go the extra mile and nothing is ever too much to ask. They really make your stay. Managing changes to bookings was no trouble and I thank them for that We had to pool to ourselves which made to time even more special

You can see they are working through updating the hotel and it shows, keep going the changing rooms and pool area just need a tiny bit of tlc that's all. But really it made no difference to another wonderful time. I'll be back again!

Fantastic atmosphere and the little pool and spa was so cute . The staff go the extra mile and the food in the tea was really lovely . We had such a great time , we will be rebooking a party night as we had such a great time ! Our quiet romantic couples night away turned into a party night with Pussy Galore , dancing the night away after drinking far too much Prosecco. I woke up the next morning reminiscing like a scene from the Hangover if dancing with a 90 year old on one hand and a drag queen on the other was real …? It was and it was soo much fun ! Go and have the best night you won’t be disappointed

Slightly dated but it adds to the charm

Wow what a find this hotel was to us. We stayed for a couple of days to visit the local area and further up to Cambridge. Our room was comfortable with a tv, fully equiped bathroom with a full sized bath and shower. The breakfast was full English plus a choice of cereals and fresh juices. The hotel has a swimming pool and large gym which is available to guests for no extra charge. The best part of our stay was the Tina Turner night with 3 course meal with tea and coffee. The staff at the Hunters meet were very friendly and helpful and were always available to help or give advice with regards to the local area .

I particularly enjoyed the spa area - pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room all met my expectations. I had 2 treatments in the spa, and the staff were exceptional in their treatment skills. The food in the restaurant in the evening was reasonably priced, and I particularly enjoyed the views of the sunset from the restaurant. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and well resourced, honestly better than I expected for the price and location. There is a lovely outdoor area at the back, and it was lovely weather so sitting reading under the shade of the tree was peaceful (and they had some outdoor yoga classes, great).

I felt there could have been a better range of food for breakfast. There was toast and cooked breakfast (lovely if you like cooked breakfast), but there was no continental options on offer, nor was there any fruit or croissants. There is no EV charger and guests are not allowed to use a plug-in trickle charger, as advised by the local fire safety opportunity. This is a missed opportunity, as more of us use EVs these days and there were few in the vicinity. When asked, staff said they had no current plans for them.

The rooms was nice and comfortable, not sure why but the water pressure was the best I've ever seen anywhere. I really liked the pool and the gym, it's free for hotel guests. I'm away with work and the gym has just the right amount of equipment to keep in shape. The pool is a nice relaxing experience. Will be staying again.

It was all good, If I was to be picky, I don't believe it should reflect on the hotel facilities and rooms. But the WiFi. The WiFi was poor, which wasn't too much of a issue, fortunately but can imagine with some it would be. I got about 1mb/s It kept crashing every so often.
