The hotel was comfortable clean and exactly what was advertised. The staff were very accommodating.i.e Jason They do lovely breakfast,thanks to Becky and the team. Also, to Malica at front Desks/Reception, you booked me initially. Your advice/information of the local area was very invaluable. Thank you . You can get the train into Cambridge from the train station next to the hotel . It is a nice place to stay if you want to explore the local area or just stop. overnight. They have carpark facilities.,which you either pay when you book your room or you pay separately via ringo App

The extract fan did not work

You cannot fault the staff and the team at this location, they were very kind and caring towards my sister and I during a very worrying and emotionally stressful situation we faced during our stay. The reception team, chef and housekeepers are fabulous and always work hard at the same time shared a smile and asked after us when we returned to the hotel for some respite from our long days at visiting a relative at the nearly hospital.

The pricing which didn’t allow us to extend our stay sadly at this location, which led us to move hotels but still within IHG Holiday Inn Express brand and in the nearby area as it was significantly cheaper on a Wednesday night and unable to price match?

Staff were excellent. Breakfast was also excellent. A good choice of English cooked breakfast. Also one night we just wanted soup for a snack and that was provided. It had been my birthday the day we arrived, staff gave us a complimentary drink each which was a lovely touch. The train station was right next to us, so we just hopped on and went to Cambridge for the day.

The fact that we didn’t know there was an extra parking fee of £10 per night. I looked at my booking and couldn’t see it stated anywhere. However the stay and the staff were very good so all good.

For a relatively budget hotel we were very pleased with the facilities. We had an accessible room with a super large wet room which made our stay very comfortable. The breakfast was a little lacking in regard to the eggs - just scrambled on offer which had been reconstituted and not re freshly cooked. However, apart from that, there was a good choice. The best thing about this hotel is the lovely staff. Nothing too much trouble and ALL so friendly and helpful. Everywhere was kept very clean and fresh. Thank you!

Eggs at breakfast.

The breakfast selection was excellent, offering fresh fruits, a variety of cooked options, and a mix of breads, which was very convenient. The dining area was bright and pleasant, and the team made a strong effort to keep the tables clean and well-presented.

The senior manager was an excellent leader who truly understood hospitality and exceptional customer service. However, his team could benefit greatly from his example if they are keen to learn the skills and excellence required in the industry. Our room, unfortunately, was located right next to the railway line, making it subject to the noise of the first and last trains passing through.

Room a good size - spacious and comfortable. Bathroom good and clean apart from shower door (see below). Breakfast great - always really good value for money - food was hot and fresh and coffee was great. Location - excellent for Cambridge (just 15 mins away for park and ride) and RAF Duxford air museum and Perry Green, Henry Moor's house/museum, which we visited.

Shower door was missing its rubber seal so water leaked all over floor. Because the hotel is beside both the railway line and the major A road, A505, at night could be bit noisy if you leave your window open, like we do (minor grumble)

1)Paying to park the car at £10 per day on top of room cost. 2)A separately switched light over the tea station recess would have been useful without having to light whole room or use light from bathroom 3)Position of shower rail adjacent to the soap dispenser restricted height adjustment 4)Bathroom extract took long time to clear steam/fogged mirror. 5)More towel rails would have been useful in the bathroom 6) Postcode sends you to the wrong side of the railway track

Basic standards but that’s what we know what to expect from a holiday inn. Clean and tidy. Great service for early check in for a 12pm wedding attendance. Also assisted with arranging cab. Not happy about being charged £7.50 for parking for the day. Don’t remember it being mentioned before booking. Maybe just include in the cost you charge easier to accept :) Good breakfast clean and nice quality and variety

Some rooms overlooking the train tracks and train station but it’s what it is. Got a twin room instead of the double room for some reason but at least both me and my partner had a good night sleep for the few hours we stayed there

Staff were excellent

It wasn’t clear when booking the property that I had to pay to park there on top of the booking fee? Also wasn’t clear that I had to enter the hotel reception to get a discount on the car parking fee. None of this is the staffs fault and as a result I’d would have paid twice to park,one of the fees being £21 which is ridiculous! Fortunately the receptionist staff sorted this all out at the the checking in desk, Why doesn’t the Holiday inn include the parking fee in its price to book,it would make more sense. If it wasn’t for the staff and their very good customer service skills I would have furious at this unprofessional way of booking.

The bathroom was spotless and newly refurbished. Good shower and loved the toiletries. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Staff cleared tables very quickly as there was a steady stream of people. Liked the location with good rail connections. Found the 14th century Duxford Chapel when walking after breakfast. A lovely surprise.

Hadn't been made aware there was a parking charge. Didn't mind the cost but thought I had pre paid whole cost. The room's air conditioning was not working - don't think it had been for a while as there were 2 portable, electric radiators and a small table top fan which helped slightly with the room temperature.
