The house, location and facilities were unique. It really felt like a Manor House and not a hotel. We loved the vibe and the grounds, and the room. A bit of feedback below on the app feature but I will say it worked for me and is good innovation by the owners.

The bathroom was a little basic and didn’t have any toiletries, although I know this is advised on the website. There were a few guests with us on arrival struggling with the app. Some were complaining. I actually quite liked the concept and it worked for me, but possibly harder for others, like the elderly. I would maybe suggest doing a video tutorial on how to access the hotel for guests before they arrive?

Lovely historic property, well decorated, quiet, with access to nature and still close enough to Cambridge to make use of public transport to town. I appreciate that additional charges like parking and pool are optional rather than being folded into the price.

The 5 pound charge to your card if they notice that you’ve ordered food delivery seems unwarranted given that they’ve already placed a hold on your card for any damages and there’s no restaurant on site. The bed was clean, but housekeeping of other surfaces (carpets etc) could be improved. A few lawn chairs would be a lovely addition to the spacious garden. I saw a number of guests making do with rocks, towels on the ground, or the couple wooden benches available.

Brilliant location, great room, nice additions such as coffee and snack vending machines plus the options of buying a breakfast relatively close by.

When I requested to park my van during the day to pick up after work, I was first sent an email saying that I could and that there would be no charge. Then I was later phoned and told I could park during the day but only if I paid £20, which I declined because there is 'park n ride' free parking option 2mins away. I was appalled that this fact was not brought to my attention and that they wanted £20 to park.

This is a brilliant place to stay for proximity to Cambridge. I really liked the rooms. It was all very easy and suited our needs perfectly. I can't comment on the staff as we didn't see anyone....

We are happy enough with a cold room but the beds need properly dressing with a decent duvet and blanket. We were freezing all night. I'm glad we packed our thermals and pyjamas but getting out of bed to find a blanket in the small hours is not fun. In this sense we weren't comfortable and we didn't have a good night's sleep unfortunately.

Clean, modern, good sized room and value for price.

No shampoo or conditioner in bathroom. Would have liked a hand towel also.

Everything was perfect, except that on a hot night it was only possible to open one window a little - which made little difference. We could have done with opening the second window, but it was locked. Breakfast was a bit pricey if one only wants to eat a small amount, but it was good food In the days after booking, and certainly close to arrival time, I got far too many ludicrous, repetitive emails "from" Rectory Farm , but this may just have been the Booking.Com servers going berserk, rather than the hotel itself. One of the earlier emails from Booking.Com, sent after my booking had been confirmed, asked for "more information," was suspicious and Rectory Farm confirmed later that it was a "bug," which I took to mean scam or hack. The above was all annoying, but not definitive: we did enjoy our one night stay.

See above - I put everything there

The location was perfect for us as a family of 4 traveling around de UK. It’s very closeby the centre of Cambridge and if you wanted you could even walk (around 40 min). The Rectory farm is beautiful and feels cosy and warm. We stayed in the side building where we had 2 rooms that were attached to a private corridor. It’s a beautiful and peaceful place to come back home to when being away for the day. And you feel very much in nature with horses you can see from your window. We would definitely stay here again. We didn’t try the breakfast because we chose to have that in the centre of Cambridge. But it looked very good.

It would be better if the parking costs were already included. There’s a huge parking in front of the farm and it’s a bit strange that you have to pay separately for it. Also we couldn’t turn off the heating, luckily we could open the window but it was getting too hot inside. Add a handout to regulate the heating as it would save energy and headaches. The rooms are absolutely cosy and British in all ways. Really nice but also quite small and if you are tall you might bump your head in the bathroom. For us not a problem. We loved the cosiness of it all but just that you know some rooms might be a bit more cramped. We were in the side building, old stalls, of the farm.

Very good bedroom, good breakfast although not everything I requested was supplied (eggs forgotten). Location is very convenient for access to Cambridge. The ensuite bathroom had a low beam which I hit my head on, despite the very small warning sign. The whole room is bright white so it would be good to paint the beam in a contrasting colour.

Stayed for 2 Nights to visit Duxford Airshow, the location was 7 minutes from Trumpington Park and ride and easy access to motorway entrance. Set in Country Location and very relaxing surroundings Will be coming back next year for the same Duxford show as really enjoyed the property and the surroundings and also liked that they provided tea and coffee facilities in the room and that the facilities were clean, obviously well looked after and nice firm bed with ensuite bathroom and shower.

The fixed price breakfast at £16 per person should offer less options if you just want say cereal or say a light breakfast rather than all or nothing. Would be better to price based on 1-3 items/ 4-6 items or everything included at say £5 / £10 or £15. - much more flexible for families or couples. I would be interested to see how many guests actually take the fixed breakfast option as the area seemed quite underused. Also as the breakfast is catered by outside contractors this should be investigated more for grab and go options also ( bananas / sandwiches / etc ) , especially as alot of guests are doing visits in the area and need a quick snack option. Definitely an area where they could make some easy changes to improve their overall margin.
