The rooms are cute and above a lovely pub. The barman/staff was extremely helpful and even paid for my on-street parking in front of the pub/mini-hotel when I couldn't get the app to work on my phone (and I paid him back I cash). The location is extremely handy for visiting Cambridge University - it was a nice and short walk into the heart of the University town. The pub downstairs had terrific food (quite fancy - gastro-pubby)

While the room, decor, little coffee station and bathroom were all quite nice, the room was very warm - and I could only get one of the two windows to open. There is no AC which is not a surprise, but we were there in July and it was very stuffy in the room. There is a large oscillating fan mounted up high in a corner that helped - but it was in the alcove by the door and not close enough to the bed to be of much help. Otherwise, all was good.

Location great with 15 min walk to city centre through lovely park by the river Staff really friendly creating a great atmosphere in bar/restaurant Shops and restaurants within 1 minute walk and plenty of choice if you dont want to go into the city centre Room clean, good size, comfy bed with everything you need. Shower really good. I will book again next time I am in tge area, fantastic

Bit of noise from the road outside but not the fault of the accomodation, just an observation ...if you like a lie in, request a room at the back...for me was ok

I didn't have breakfast. The location is very good, however, there is no parking, its very difficult to stop even for a short period of time. The room is large with a comfortable bed. The room and bathroom were incredibly clean, I could fault it

I messaged to ask if I could check in earlier as I was in meetings all afternoon and could be out until after 11.30 when there wouldn't be anyone at the property. No reply I managed to get ther between meetings, with a friend double parked outside, the hotel couldn't find the key to my room, it felt as if they weren't ready for my arrival even though it was 3 hours after check in time

To start with the positives, the beds were very comfortable to sleep in - super important when staying for the whole week! The location was also great for our purpose - 15 minutes walk to the center, but also there are many cafes, bars, restaurants and shops around the area. Since the rooms are upstairs from a pub, then some noise is inevitable, but I was happy that the music and noise ended at closing time and after that we could sleep well. The housekeeping lady was exceptional, many thanks to her for the great care!

My biggest worry was around the locks - our room lock didn't always work, instead the key would just roll around in the lock. The entrance door was equipped with a numerical lock, but despite that some evenings the door was wide open. And the handle would fall off, making it quite difficult to get in at times. In addition, the hairdryer in the room needs a desperate upgrade.

Staff went above and beyond!! The location is perfect for walking to places. The double paned windows to the outside were such a nice addition that they really care about guest comfort!

The ONLY issue I had was that I could hear the neighboring room people talking late into the night. It was almost like they were sitting in my room chatting. It only happened one of the three nights I was there. I used my earbuds to fall asleep but walls do seem paper thin.

It is in a good location with a short walk to many points of interest… the staff were warm and welcoming… there is a good choice of local ales along with many popular largers and ciders .. the breakfast was very nice so I should imagine that the lunch and evening meals would be of a good standard.

The only negative was the room was a little on the small side and very warm as if you opened the window the traffic noise was a bit of a nuisance apart from that clean and tidy.

The location is convenient - fairly central - and I liked being so near the river and Midsummer Common. The room was quite small, but characterful with a comfortable bed. It looked out on Chesterton Road but I was only slightly aware of noise. Breakfast was fine - good choice (but a la carte so less good value than a typical chain hotel). Staff were helpful, and both the bars and little flowery garden at the back were pleasant.

Nothing really, although comparing the room with say a Travelodge ideally I'd like a little more room and a desk. But - the Waterman is more characterful! A very small point - there wasn't any milk included in the tea/coffee making set.

The location? The pub downstairs had good coffee, the boutique rooms and all the body care products (shampoo/conditioner/body wash) were very nice and unique. The coffee provided in the room + the milk.

Unfortunately I didn’t get to enjoy the coffee cause the kettle looked a bit rusty it was a problem but a room for improvement to do a round of check up. Was a bit confusing to check in since there was not visible sign on where go.

Welcoming staff, easy access to room, price, bed was very comfortable, stylish room.

Flush broke on toilet, part of the tap was coming off a bit, no full length mirror, tv would not turn on. I was only staying for a short time in the room so it didn’t really matter and I didn’t get a chance to talk to the staff but I’m sure they would have fixed the issues had I a chance to contact them.

Location was great.. 15min walk to city centre. Our room was just what we needed for an overnight stay… the beds were super comfortable. Staff were really pleasant and happy to help with everything. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic..probably one of the best full English breakfast we’d ever had! 😍 Would definitely stay here again if in the area.. thankyou
