Not too big a hotel where you could feel distant from the hub. Nice layout and clean. Reasonable amount of car parking space not too far from the entrance. Had a very good menu with variety. Fair portion meals. There is a good selection of breakfast foods. The basic mini gym was not intimidating with 4 machines. Some young staff were really friendly others the older ones were the opposite.

A member of staff possibly house keeping, entered the room. I felt uneasy as the room was already cleaned and the person did not have anything in her hand to clean. The staff at the reception did not seem bothered that the personal private space I paid for was violated. They expected me to find the person to aske why they came in the room as I was in a telephone meeting and was unable to question the motive. She went back out and shut the door seeing me there. This was the main negative report but a very important one. Would be nice to have a coffee machine instead of having to drink their regular coffee. Breakfast cereals are displayed in huge bowls with scoops which is open to flying insects.

An excellent (if expensive @ gbp18) Noodle dinner was very well received! Nice staff -everywhere.

amazed than no rooms nor even reception included a phone battery recharge (USB)! Fortunately, reception was able to lend me a 13-amp plug/adaptor, returned next morning - for which, thank you. But note that even village cafes in the Sumatran jungle have been providing (free) USB for some years already! I’m sure the mediaeval village of nearby St. Neots must be plumbed for this essential utility……………have a word with your neighbours.

I have stayed here before and wanted to stay again as I had a great experience the first time. I stayed in the standard king room 109 it was lovely and comfortable. I was able to put youtube on and have access to my own tea and coffees from my room was excellent too. The staff are very friendly and were kind and caring Particularly with our puppy who we brought to stay too after our dog sitter had let us down at short notice. I will be booking to stay again in the near future.

the WIFI signal is not great. 😢

We booked to stay here to attend a wedding. Before arriving the staff could not have been more helpful. We asked to check in by 10.30am (as did 40 other wedding guests) and it wasn’t a problem. I was told that they were asking staff to come into work early to accommodate our requests. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was also great - full English, continental and when I asked for my favourite brew (earl grey) it was no problem at all.

Would be nice to have some complementary water in the rooms especially now that summer is approaching. I do know there is a water jug near the bar but the does not cut it for me but thanks.

Made to feel welcome by friendly and helpful staff, evening menu food very good, room very comfortable. Great location.

Check-in took some time as my first and last names had somehow got confused, though not sure if this was Holiday Inn's fault or Booking.com. Only one member of staff on reception when checking out, when two would have been better at 9ish, popular checkout time.

Room and hotel cosy and clean. Majority of the staff are friendly and very helpful and kind. Special thanks to Chloe Paul Meg Megan and Kirsty who assisted with different queries that arose. Variety of breakfast dishes available and dining menu.

The location was fantastic and the staff were lovely throughout the weekend.

The extra sleeping arrangement for our 2 children was pretty poor. They’re only 10 and it is a small double bed the sofa converts to & they were very uncomfortable and really struggled to sleep & were very achy all day after both nights. Have woken very refreshed and no aches at home today. If you advertise a family room, for the cost you charge as standard I would expect proper beds to be available in some rooms like most other basic hotels offer without similar costs.

Hotel was beautiful, lots of lovely staff who were all friendly, did not realise when I booked the room that breakfast was included until I was checking in and was informed by the staff so was lovely added bonus, the room was amazing I didn’t expect it to be so big with lots in there. I would highly recommend this place for future stays.

Every single member of staff was superb - friendly, attentive, helpful and efficient. The location was just what we needed - we are big racing fans, but also like to be just out of town, so near enough to go into town when we needed, but far enough away for peace and quiet, which we also enjoy. The food exceeded our expectations.
