Nice location. Food was excellent.

We were supposed to be in the hotel but our room was the same at the lodges, I felt it was quite expensive for what the rooms were, I've stayed in more luxury hotel rooms for the same amount of money. We went to our friends lodge and it was much nicer and bigger than the lodge next door to us and we all paid the same amount of money.

The room and bed were comfortable, staff were friendly. Lovely natural location

A group of people returned to the chalets around midnight and thought they were the only ones and made a lot of noise talking. I politely asked them to pipe down and they went away. Regulars knew to order eggs e.g poached, rather than the scrambled egg, but I wasn't made aware of this.

A clean and comfortable room which had everything I needed and was close to the restaurant and facilities. The food in the evenings was good and fairly priced. Overall a good place to stay for a night or two whilst working locally.

The car park was quite muddy but little that could be done as it has been so wet. Also the breakfast although OK, could have been a bit fresher as some items were a bit dried out under the heatlamps.

Good location and facilities. Very good food. Excellent staff especially the caretakers who live on site. They were particularly kind and helpful as I had a maintenance issue and they couldn't have tried any harder to resolve it. Re breakfast advised as very good breakfast included. The breakfast was a limited hot buffet and juices, cereal etc. For a 'very good breakfast' I think you need to provide cold meats, smoked salmon, variety of cheeses and freshly baked crossaints/pastries. Only my opinion! All in all a happy, relaxing stay in a warm, clean room.

Found room quite basic shower enclosure very small and I am not a big or tall person. Tv in room very small about 18” /20” so difficult to watch from bed as far away But plenty of towels and bed very clean comfortable The rooms are no where near to the bar or restaurant. You need to walk about 500 + yards with no cover so if weather bad would need to take this into account Plenty of car park spaces

The staff could not of been more helpful. Very comfortable room at excellent price and the food was very good in the onsite restaurant

Only downside was it was a bit dark to find the lodge in the first instance from reception, but the staff were really helpful

Location was very good, golf course looked amazing and well kept. Staff in bar area were very good, particularly Sunday morning breakfast person. Reception staff also very good.

Bothered by flies in restaurant area whilst eating dinner - quite a number! Shower in room was not working properly - disappointing shower size in a very nice room. Looked as though a replacement was due.

These lodges are set within the golf club and and nicely tucked away but close to the restaruant for breakfast. There is plenty of parking and you can drop bags off right outside. All rooms are ground floor around a courtyard with tables and chairs. Our room, no.6, was on a corner and was a good size with a single and queen double beds. The single was softer than the queen size but neither were extremely hard or soft. The bathroom was small but adequate with sink, toilet and shower, a shelf in the shower would be useful. There is a wardrobe, chest-a-draws and shelf with tea/coffee making facilities. When we arrived the room was very hot but opening bathroom and bedroom windows created a breeze and cooled the room quickly that night. Its was very quiet at night which we were grateful for. Breakfast was a simple buffet english breakfast, a toast machine, coffee, tea etc along with a selection of cereal. All very good quality. If in the area again would definately book this lodge.

It is in the middle of nowhere so you have to rely on a car but going by breakfast I'm sure the restaurant dinner food would be good, along with the bar.

Wonderful location, exceptionally clean rooms, excellent value for money. Lakeside Lodge was a great surprise - whilst the rooms are basic they are exceptionally clean and cosy for a short break. The outside seating space is great and the room rate which includes breakfast and some activities, is very well priced. The bonus was the night sky - there is no light pollution so the unexpected night sky provided a star gazing experience which was stunning!

The check out time is early, and the option for a slightly later 11 am or even 12 noon check out would be good.

Setting was lovely, location of room to facilities. Comfy bed, Early breakfast and choice of food for evening menu.

Evening bar staff, water pressure for shower, TV position and quite a small room.
