A property has been designed by an individual who has travelled a lot - and hence all the little things that are so important to making you feel at home and comfortable in your stay are covered - for instance not only sockets by the bed but USB A and USBC! The contemporary design of the place is lovely with quirky individual decor. The host are very friendly and welcoming providing a great map of the area and recommendations of where to eat. The breakfast is fabulous - and I particularly liked the daily special. This place is better than many hotels we have stayed in - and would be an absolute first choice if we were in the area again.

Our stay at Tim and Teresa’s guest house was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed and cared for – they are absolutely amazing hosts. The guest house itself is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The level of attention they give to their guests is outstanding. We were in town for the Ironman event, and they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs – from preparing special meals to offering an early breakfast so we could start the day right. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast each morning was perfect – delicious, well-presented, and with great options, including some lovely special orders tailored to our needs. Every aspect of our stay was just excellent, and it’s clear that Tim and Teresa genuinely care about creating the best possible experience for their guests. We will absolutely be back – this place is a true gem in every way!

High quality decor and smart bathroom with a hot, clean shower. Lots of little details which made for an excellent stay - plenty of towels and pillows, a small (silent) fridge with fresh milk, a great selection of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits. The bedside USB phone charging sockets were handy too. Breakfast was very good with a really great selection of hot and cold options. The fruit was fresh and ripe and we had perfect runny poached eggs. We valued the quiet location within a short walk of the beach and town. Parking was easy to find (even on a bank holiday weekend).

There wasn't anything we didn't like!

We had a fantastic stay at Oaklands Guest House from start to finish. Tim and Teresa are incredibly warm and welcoming hosts who made us feel right at home. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious—beautifully presented with plenty of options to set us up for the day. A lovely personal touch was Tim coming out of the kitchen each morning to greet us and check that everything was to our liking, while Teresa made sure we had everything we needed with her friendly and attentive service. We stayed in room 5, which was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable—everything you could want for a relaxing stay. A particularly special moment was when Tim and Teresa acknowledged our wedding anniversary with a thoughtful surprise: a tray with a card, glasses & Prosecco. It really made our stay extra memorable! We only wish we could have stayed longer. We’ll definitely be back—thank you, Tim and Teresa! Emma & David

Wow. What a property and just superb guest house. The best one I've ever been to. From the decoration, quality of breakfast to the service, all were to an incredibly high and impressive standard. An exceptional place to stay in a perfect and very quiet location, just a few minutes walk from the sea front and all of Weymouth's delights! Tim and Teresa are wonderful hosts and give a very warm welcome. So personable and friendly. We were travelling over 200 miles and it was no problem to check in after 5pm due to traffic delays and a need to stop for a break. Just so very helpful and accommodating. Adored the interior design which is very high quality throughout. A lovely modern style which compliments the stunning Edwardian features of the house. The room facilities were wonderful. Lovely big room with great en suite. Fantastic having a silent fridge in the room, stocked with complimentary fresh milk and water bottles. Thank you also for the tea and coffee making facilities and lovely fossil gift. Such a nice touch! Weymouth was a wonderful place to stay for me and my son's trip to the Tank museum and Tankfest, which was 25 minutes drive away. I had originally booked for me and hubby to stay at Oaklands but plans changed 3 weeks before. Our son is working on a replica tank but sadly it wasn't ready in time for Tankfest. He so wanted to go to the event even though not part of the show, so hubby stayed home and I took our son. Tankfest is such a great event and very well organised. We had a great day. The breakfasts and service was just amazing. Incredible choice, superb quality and cooked beautifully. I very much enjoyed the specials in both days of our stay. Just first class! I highly recommend Oaklands and would book again when returning to the area.

Absolutely nothing and everything to love!

Everything about our stay was amazing, room, decor, host, staff, breakfast, cleanliness, hospitality, value for money, provisions. The other thing that stood out was there was no penny pinching whatsoever, and by this I mean everything was more, from the breakfast, that was thoughtfully asked on order, even down to the tea/coffee in our rooms were not just the usual 2 teabags, 2 coffee etc, there were more than enough quality drinks and biscuits too, plus even a thoughtful lovely little keepsake to take home aswell. Only negative was we couldn’t stay longer due to work commitments.

Tim and Teresa were wonderful hosts throughout our 3 night stay. The breakfasts were exceptional, room spacious, bed very comfortable, great shower, and everything very well thought about in advance. Plenty of easy parking too. The house has been extensively and very tastefully renovated, so very comfortable overall, with a great info pack in the room. In addition, an early email suggesting we book in advance for restaurants as it was a busy time, which was helpful. They provided several restaurants to choose from. We had a wonderful stay.

The staff were so lovely and always willing to help if needed. The accommodation was quirky and exceptional. Just nicely placed away from noisy roads and with parking on site or close by. The breakfasts were amazing with a special each day and two beautifully prepared fresh fruit salads to chose from . The whole break for us was absolutely fantastic. Would highly recommend the Oaklands.

There wasn't any negatives about The Oaklands or the staff. We wished we could have stayed for longer.

Loved everything about this property. Hosts were in touch long before we arrived, providing a list of restaurants they recommend and a tip to book in advance due to it being busy season. Rooms was divine, with every little detail thought of including fresh milk in a little fridge, and fast charging points for devices. The breakfast was to die for, both cooked and the continental options were very high quality and delicious. They organised extremely early breakfasts for those taking part in Ironman, with a separate breakfasts for spectators later in the day. They kept us right and we are so glad. Every aspect of the property has clearly been thought of with guests and pride in mind.

Elegant modern decor, well appointed rooms. Our room on the main floor was spacious, well laid out and welcoming. The ensuite was spacious with an elegant large shower. The most hi tech modern toilet I have ever seen. The hosts Tim and Theresa are warm and welcoming. Tim is the breakfast wizard creating options that not only meet high standards but surpass them. There is a spacious guest lounge with an honour bar. The property has implemented sustainability practices. Parking is available on site in a quiet, safe neighbourhood a short pleasant walk to the esplanade to begin exploration of Weymouth!

The fact that we had only booked three nights. In all our travels around the UK this BnB has been the most restful and delightful experience.
