Kathy the host was exceptional and without continually fussing around us ensured our needs were met. The room was comfortable with everything we wanted. Kathy made an exceptional breakfast tailored to us. There was a glimpse of the sea without the bustle of the seaside and the accommodation is very simple to find. For summer visitors there is a beautiful garden and outdoor seating area. Thank you for making us so welcome

Definitely not a criticism because the accommodation was excellent value and welcoming. For the benefit of the very fussy, we visited at a time when the accommodation would normally be closed so although everything worked well a freshen up will have created the perfect experience. I repeat this is not a criticism just an observation which would certainly not stop me from highly recommending Birch House for your stay.

Beautifully renovated property with plenty of room. We had the green room, and the bed was super soft and comfortable, and the room was lovely. Tea and coffee facilities, nice ensuite, clean and homely. Breakfast was freshly cooked and served at a big table with other guests overlooking the garden. There is plenty of choice of food and big portions. There is room in the drive for 3 cars but plenty of free parking outside on the road. I would definitely stay here again.

If you aren't a fan of dogs, there are 2 small dogs living here that tend to run out every time the private door is opened. The owner always calls them back, and they don't wander freely. It's not a problem for us, but it's worth a mention just in case it bothers you.

The Birch House far exceed our expectations. The host was welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The room was excellent - large with plenty of storage. It had a comfortable kingsize bed. On suite large/clean and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was a great selection with the full English setting us up for the day. Beautiful garden with plenty of seating areas. Would definitely recommend a stay whether for business or pleasure. Will definitely be back again. 5 star in our opinion.

The breakfast was very good , more than enough for us. The place was clean and comfortable and the landlady very friendly.

The only complaint I've got is I couldn't see the nameplate of the house while driving slowly past. Maybe put a nameplate on the gatepost. Once we'd figured that out , no problems at all.

This place is just beautiful. The warm welcome from Kathy, a gorgeous house, beautiful room & en suite, along with a fabulous breakfast menu. Lovely rambling garden to sit in, on a summer evening, complete with soft twinkling lights. Just perfect!!

There is nothing negative I can write about this place. I just don't like that I can't keep it as my little secret!!

What a stunning and cozy place! I absolutely adore all the little details - the books, the pictures on the walls, and all those lovely accessories. It's evident how much love and care the hosts have poured into their home. We stayed for two nights, and I'll definitely be returning because this was truly the best experience. The breakfasts were exceptional and so elegant. Kathy, you've truly won my heart! I can't recommend Birch House highly enough

Excellent location within easy walking distance to town. Cathy was an amazing friendly host. The accommodation is finished to a high standard and we were made to feel very welcome. Great atmosphere with a very homely feeling set with beautiful gardens.

Kathy our host was very welcoming and friendly. She was helpful and informative and didn't make a fuss at all at our slightly early arrival. The b and b is absolutely wonderful and feels very homely. The bedroom was clean and well equipped with an extremely comfy bed. I would definitely return here and recommend to everyone.

The b&b is only signposted with the house number. A little sign to signpost the Birch House B&B would go a long way for polite and cautious holidayers like ourselves.

Wow! The house is stunning and beautifully decorated, with an equally impressive garden. This was more like a stay in a high class boutique hotel. The room was attractive and restful, the bed was excellent and I wanted to take the bathroom home with me! The hosts have put a lot of thought into the comfort of their guests and it shows. Our host was flexible, smiley and welcoming. Wish we had stayed for more than one night. Excellent value for money.

The house is beautifully decorated, the hosts very welcoming & we were able to relax after a long day's walking.

We were happy with everything, the location is slightly out of town which was hard work having walked from Lulworth but we could have got the bus so our fault for not double checking but something to be aware of if you are walking the South West Coast Path.
