Lovely sumptous room overlooking a Green on the first floor. Location is excellent. Reception staff very helpful

The breakfast, fairly basic and the waiting staff did not appear interested. Once the breakfast was delivered they seemed to think that their job was complete. I was never approached to see if everything was OK and would I like some more toast (yes, I would have liked another slice) or tea. They need a customer relations course.

A fantastic building, with loads of character. It's across the road from Worthing seafront and very close to the shops, cafes, and restaurants. It doesn't do evening meals but as you're so near to the town centre, you can find something lovely to eat close by. Breakfast options are limited, but include a full English breakfast, cereal, and fruit. The room was spacious, with a kettle, tea, coffee, a hairdryer, TV, and a trouser press. It has a bath and shower and the towels were big. There are lifts to all floors. There is no hotel parking but plenty of street parking, which you have to pay for before 6pm. Great value for money.

The hotel has a lot of character, it’s tired, but I am a vintage person! One thing that I did find in my room it was extremely clean. Nice clean fresh linen, bed was pretty comfy too. Also, something, you don’t get a lot these days in hotel rooms 2 packets of biscuites. I also check kettles in hotels and the kettle had no limescale at all and was very clean. My room was at the rear of the hotel, other reviewers have complained of the bus depot being noisy. Honestly, I didn’t hear much at all. When I checked out I was told there was complimentary tea and coffee and biscuites in the lounge….. The reception staff were very friendly and approachable.

I would say the pillows need changing as there is no support in them. Maybe an 11 am checkout?

I don't like sterile flashy hotels, and The Chatsworth was superb, really comfortable room, and I mean this in the best possible way when I say it feels slightly in a time warp from past decades, but for me that is character. The location is the best and with sea views as well, I loved it, and I am really familiar with the town as we lived there for 3 years between 2010 and 2013, and happily. I don't care about mod cons, I just need WiFi like everyone else does, and it was absolutely spot on. Loved the tea/coffee in the room with kettle, the TV was small bu mtore than adequate and the water was plentiful and hot in the bathroom, AND I got all of this at an exceptional price too...if I do ever come back to Worthing (I live outside of the UK, and was over for a funeral) I will 1000% aim to stay at the Chatsworth

I had a great and comfortable stay, that's ticked every box for me!!!

On booking I received an upgrade to a park facing room at the front of the hotel and thought the room was beautiful with its french balconies and huge windows. I had stayed before and was put at the backside which was not as pleasant as the municipal coach station is there although the room was very comfortable. The value for money is amazing and the hotel has a lot of character and friendly staff. It was lovely in the morning to see the seafront and the park. Tea and coffee in the room.

From the previous stay I had paid for breakfast which I found not great. There was a lot of choice and you could order your eggs freshly cooked but the filter coffee and sausage and most other things were awful. I ended up with yoghurt and fruit as I could not stomach the cooked breakfast. The bar area could do with a lot of improvement, no atmosphere whatsoever, however, you just go out as there are many pubs in the vicinity.

Staff are very friendly, check-in was efficient and the hotel was clean. We parked right outside. Efforts have been made to make this very old building as wheelchair friendly as possible, which was nice to see . Tea, coffee and biscuits provided, which was lovely . Location of the hotel is perfect very close to all the things Worthing has to offer.

The Chatsworth Hotel is extremely dated, it looks like nobody has done anything to it and since the 50s. The lifts are tiny and the floors are creaky. Having said that, we paid around £65 for our stay and I would rather have the option to stay relatively cheaply then have them upgrade this hotel to be fancy and modern then charge double! We were very lucky to get parking right outside, if we didn’t get this, we would have to park in the multi story up the road, however the hotel has a loading bay so you can drop bags off at the door.

Although the hotel is somewhat tired my room was clean and comfortable and staff very good. As ever (I have stayed at the Chatsworth many times) breakfast was excellent. The hotel is very well sited and has close access to the beach and promenade as well as the town centre. Parking can be an issue because they are no longer able to offer 24 hour parking vouchers at a reasonable cost. Now parking is limited to a maximum of 4 hours (basically useless) but discounted parking is apparently available at a nearby multi-storey car park a short distance away. These new parking arrangements it should be said are as a result of the local council and nothing to do with the 2 hotels who used to benefit from the old relaxed rules. God nows what that council is thinking of!! Oh it should be said lifts are available.

Everything went well. The location is convenient being right by the beach and town centre., The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and looked great. There was a television, the Wi-Fi was easy to access, could also use lounge and bar. Tried the full English breakfast and continental breakfast, which paid extra for, but still good value and enjoyable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Recommend looking out for out of season deals with the hotel. I visited on January weekdays and great value for money.

There is traffic noise but can't really blame the hotel for that.

The location is central, quite convenient for shopping, restaurants, pubs, theatres, etc. As I used to know Worthing very well, the hotel was very convenient for me with the railway station not far away, plus excellent bus links. The room was lovely and comfortable and the breakfast is partly buffet style with self service cereals, fruit, yoghurts, fruit juice, etc., plus a cooked breakfast brought to the table. The bar area and lounge are lovely, decent range of drinks. Overall, an excellent stay and would recommend to anyone.

I can't fault the place, stayed there many years ago, so knew roughly what it would be like.

ALL the staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great with lots of choices. Room was clean, overlooked the gardens and central to beach and shopping centre. I did have an issue with turning off of shower (I have arthritis), phoned reception, a lovely young lady came up straight away and also sent someone from housekeeping , so fixed in a very short time.

One morning there was lack of staff in the restaurant, but I spoke to reception, who apologised . I didn't want to make a complaint, just wanted the matter noted. The rest of the time I was there, it was very good (as usual).
