- Good location, an easy walk to the Ciudad Vieja. - The room and facilites were very clean - Comfortable bed with a bonus of both soft and firmer pillows - It was handy having a mini fridge to store things bought outside, a seating area with coffee table, as well as a long desk, which all added to the comfort of the room - The WiFi signal was strong - The breakfast buffet had lots of options

The property failed to answer numerous messages sent over a couple of days (via booking.com, WhatsApp, and email) that I sent about arranging a ride from the airport to the hotel, with no good answer other then they were busy and the messages were missed. While I want to be empathetic to things being busy and that mistakes can happen, missing numerous forms of messages (including where WhatsApp showed my messages were read) and without receiving a sincere apology, this was really poor service. I still rated it 9/10 because otherwise my stay was excellent and at great value.

The property is well located in down-town Montevideo, with access by walking distance to the Plaza Independencia, shops and restaurants. The room was large and comfortable, and the gym was adequately equipped for indoor workouts during winter weather.

The booking indicated that check-in was only possible between 3pm and 12am, yet as the in-bound flight was past mid-night, it was uncertain whether check-in would be allowed. The description on the platform could indicate that late check-in can be provided upon request; and if it is confirmed, it would be useful to have a notification sent to the traveler that late check-in has been granted.

Our room was comfortable and spacious including a seating area. The bed firm, which we like. From our front of building upper floor room we had a side view of Palacio Salvo one of Montevideo's main "carte postals" as the Brazilian say and a front view out over the Mar del Plata. I rated the location a 9 and that's because this is right in the city centre, it's less good if you're here for the beaches. The location is spot on for catching the whole of the "hop on hop off" bus route beginning to end. We used the rooftop gym on a rainy morning which we enjoyed.

The Hotel didn't have much common space, just a 3 person sofa in reception. The breakfast room is a little crowded so you have to have breakfast in shifts, but, no big deal. No ramp from the outside so some heavy lifting needed up a few steps if you've got big cases, we didn't. Because it's the city centre the area is a bit dead on Sundays and looks a little downbeat then with all the shop shutters and many restaurants and bars closed that day.

i loved the smart hotel. nearly brand new and very well designed and built. everything worked exactly as it should in a nice new boutique hotel.

only criticism, and i feel like its a theme country wide about rules, speed limits, and times... arrived at 1:30 was told no room available as check in is 3. no one else there and the guy didnt make a call or check his screen. i was certain i was being told to wait just for the fun of it. at 3 i got my room. every day i was there, people were sitting waiting for rooms likely for same reason. just check people in. rooms are ready and you know it

Good attentive staff, close to everything. Room had lovely views. Would recommend.

Inconsistent breakfast. Not sure about the powered eggs taste one day. Avoided after that experience. Juice was from concentrate. One breakfast the croissants all stale. Not much choice. Could improve the fruit salad range and add bacon and fried potatoes. Breakfast staff nice. The whole area is a bit neglected and rundown and smells of pee everywhere although that is a council problem. Nice restaurants nearby. The room furniture choice is a bit strange and impractical. That’s it.

The room was better than I imagined! Very modern/appeared to be new and was a good size including a kitchenette fully appointed! We asked for a King room and we were given a King room with a pullout sofa which housekeeping dressed daily. The location was one block away from a main interest area with loads of shopping and dining options. There is also a laundry across the street which is brilliant if you have multiple destinations and want to wash during your stay. We read concerns about the street feeling unsafe; and were mindful about that. We had no issues during our visit.

Housekeeping had to be reminded to refill bathroom supplies (towels, toilet paper). The room was clean but we had to ask for what we needed as opposed to basic items always being replenished. The hot water temperature did not get as hot as we like. If you are a light sleeping, the street noise may be a nuisance. We were located on a high floor but we still heard that street noise.

The hotel is well located in the old town. It's close to squares, restaurants, and theater. It's walking distance to the Mercado del Puerto. The room is spacious and comfortable, heating was good, wifi works well. The bathroom is small but works well with a generous hot shower. The bar and restaurant has a decent list of starters, dishes and drinks.

The first negative impression was because the hotel has no parking space for you to load/unload your luggage. The hotel also does not have parking. We used a private parking a block away, that fortunately opens 24/7 and has special prices for long stay. Then, the continuous noise in the reception area caused by the a/c according to the staff is really annoying.

The hotel exceeded our expectations, meeting all our needs with ease. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the fast Wi-Fi was a great convenience. The staff were excellent and very accommodating. Additionally, its proximity to the old town and other points of interest made our stay even more enjoyable.

The rooms feature kitchenettes, but they lack basic utensils such as cutlery, plates, and wine glasses. Fortunately, these items are available upon request at the reception. The breakfast offers good value for money; however, it might become monotonous if you're staying for more than 2-3 nights.

Well located standard hotel with clean comfortable good sized rooms, helpful 24 hour reception staff and a good in-house cafe/bar. Excellent value and to be recommended, except…

Unfortunately, the booking review scores were downgraded by totally chaotic housekeeping services. One never knew whether or not the room would be cleaned. Towels were removed unnecessarily, but not then replaced and lavatory paper was not replaced.

Really nice rooms, restaurant and the staff were generally very nice.

The gym is tiny but hey it’s still a place to workout with some equipment- better than nothing. There was some street noise even though we were on 9th floor but I guess this can be expected for a Saturday night so not the hotels fault. Aside from the hotel - Montevideo is actually so overpriced it hurts and not even that good - I wouldn’t say it’s worth the money and the old town is completely run down and full of shady people trying to sell you drugs. We didn’t feel threatened at any point but it was not nice at all. Literally EVERYTHING is stupidly overpriced come here for short time only unless you won the lottery
