The fee of $75 per hour if you check out late. The low water pressure.

Everything was perfect! I would advise anyone to book their stay at Bluebeards. The staff are exceptional and it's safe for family vacations. I booked mainly because of how they are for families as in their room setup and everything that they have on site. I will be back soon!

My view was absolutely extraordinary! ❤️The property has kept the integrity, age and character of its surroundings without looking run down or being too modern or looking out of place. The staff were amazingly helpful, courteous & professional at every turn. One guy helped me to my room & when the key didn’t work, he let me in with his master key while he took mine to get checked out. The room was clean, the tile work in my bathroom was gorgeous as were the floors & my bed felt like heaven every night. As a female solo traveler I felt safe throughout the entire property.

Nice big room, small kitchennette (which I didn't use, but was a bonus to have available), Excellent AC, porch with a great Charlotte Amalie city view. Poolside food looked great (I didn't have it, but saw a pizza that another guest had purchased).

The pool is a little small, really sort of a quick dip or kiddie pool, but the pool deck view of the harbor is spectacular. The base room fee is misleading; the real cost including taxes and electricity surcharge is double!

The view is definitely wonderful! The staff were pleasant. The roads were super steep as they are on the mountains. The walk is beautiful in the castle and they have a convenience store, pool, restaurant and a great looking lobby. There was an awesome mango tree that had mangoes hanging. Also, you can view the waters from the castle lobby. The pictures on the website are very much like what we saw live too.

Unfortunately, the last night we were there, we found a roach from the kitchen cabinet and that went unpleasant. Although, we understand it is a tropical place, we didn't leave the front door or the patio door open at any point. Most of the time we were out and when we were back, we cleaned up well. Also, we saw this roach come out from the kitchen cabinet and we figured it may have been in it for a few days. The laundry room had only one washer and dryer and the room was lit very dim.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Castell Villa Hotel in ST Thomas, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! The facilities were top-notch, providing a perfect blend of comfort.. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed. What truly made my stay special was the exceptional staff. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring that all guests had a wonderful experience. I want to give a special shout-out to Mr. Carrion, whose outstanding service and warm demeanor really stood out. He went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, and his professionalism made a significant difference. Overall, I highly recommend the Castell Villa Hotel for anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay in ST Thomas. I can't wait to return!

Really appreciated the services I received when I was there for 4 nights, from front counter receptionists to those staff who helped to drive me to the hotel house (This resort is sitting on the hill in different places, so you might need they drive you and your luggage, otherwise it is very difficult to walk with carrying bigger luggage) From my balcony, the harbour view completely displays its every beautiful corners. Sitting there with a glass of wine or whisky or Rum or anything you want is a fantastic experience especially when you want to watch the sunrise and sunset. The room is very clean, and the equipment is in good condition. The distance to the town center is about 15 min walk only. You can find a lot of shops, bars and restaurants. Anyway, I have to rate this hotel the top rating without any hesitations or further considerations.

The breakfast was very good, the service was good except for our first morning there. It seemed like they were short staffed after a weekend wedding and the wait staff seemed very stressed. Also they did not have hot tea which was a big disappointment since I don't drink coffee.

The sliding door to the porch in our room did not open or lock easily and the handle was loose. Also, the bathroom sink was clogged so the water drained very slowly. There was also some mold on the shower ceiling and not enough shelf space in the shower to store toiletries.

Wanted to stay longer

My wife and I booked this because it is a historic hotel, and pretty affordable for St Thomas. It is cool to stay at a place with an old fort and great views of Charlotte Amalie. We had previously stayed at Margaritaville and the food at Bluebeards’ was light years better - best we had all trip. Overall a cool, unique, and affordable experience.

This is not so much a critique of the property as our own tastes but the crowd here seemed a bit older.
