I loved the staff and the guests. The staff members were friendly, helpful, welcoming, thoughtful, insightful. The chamber maid was friendly, attentive, helpful. The guests I met in the hallways and elevator were all very pleasant and seemed to be enjoying their stay. I initially dreaded the quality of the complimentary breakfast, but overcoming my "fears," We ate a breakfast at the inn and found it to be quite enjoyable.

I didn't like the hallway carpet. It was visually disturbing and was a little disorienting. I didn't like the "wood" floor just inside the room entrance. It was quite slippery as tho' a "polish" or "oil" had been applied. I had to wipe it up with paper towels. I truly hated the smell in the hallway and guest room. The odor was heavily of disinfectant (or what we surmised to be chlorine). Cleanliness is great but this was awful.

It's within walking distance from the river district and 5 minutes from where I was going at the University. Breakfast was standard, not much to ask for so it was great. Coffee was excellent. Could not beat the price

I traveled light to avoid checking bags since it was just an overnight stay, and when hotels don't have soap in the shower, I end up having to use the little tiny bars (at least I'm clean). Also, the shower drain slightly backed up during my stay (not much), but I would recommend drain to be cleaned out more often.

Clean, well updated hotel. Super-friendly staff. Geographical location was near everything we needed. Breakfast was great!

No fault of the facility: Road construction made for a bit of a hassle to reach the property. Due to the construction, street was very deserted with an ominous feel at night.

I can't recall her name; however, 3pm-11pm lady at the front desk was extremely polite and nice. She was so helpful with giving me directions as to how to avoid extra traffic regarding where I was going, she was very polite and very personable. I have to say that she was very professional and caring, and I would rate her a 10 out of 10! The hotel management team should acknowledge her for a job well done. Sherry Reynolds

The location was great, close to the University of Alabama campus. The breakfast was very good and well maintained. What stood out the most was the staff. Everyone at the front desk, the kitchen and housekeeping were so nice and helpful! I can't say enough good things about the staff here! I highly recommend this place and when we come back we will stay here!

Good location to downtown but current road construction made it difficult to come and go easily. Breakfast was a standard continental breakfast and was good. Staff were friendly. Gym was small but clean and adequate. Rooms were clean. Plenty of towels. Bathroom was nice. Plenty of charging outlets and USB ports which was nice.

The coffee was not good. Furthermore, there were no outside facilities or seating. There was some seating in the lobby but it was minimal other than the breakfast tables/chairs. We ended up sitting on the bed in our room. The pool is indoors which is fine but there was no lounge seating there either. Plus is was very moist and steamy in the pool area. Finally, while it is summer in Alabama, our room was very humid. Despite turning the AC down it was still very moist. My sons shorts got wet on one leg and despite hanging them in front of the AC unit for 2 days, they were still damp when we left. The hard surface floor was also a little slick due to the room humidity.
