The cleanliness of the room. The fact that there was a microwave and a small refrigerator in the room. Although the motel is situated next to the main street there was very little noise and we had very little problems either entering or leaving the property. Taking everything into consideration, including price, I have no reservations recommending this motel.

I was not impressed with the breakfast offerings, however there are a number of restaurants in the immediate area and a Safeway grocery store just up the road. With both the microwave and fridge in the room you can easily fix your own food.

We are traveling cross country on a motorcycle, staying in hotels along the way, so we look for affordable sleeping conditions...hate spending big bucks to literally sleep for 8 hours. For a 2-star hotel I'm giving the KC Motel 4.5 stars. Price is on point, the rooms are clean, the bed was super comfy and a bonus point for the soft, but not-too-soft pillows. The shower pressure was excellent!! The staff is friendly and helpful. We had a great night's sleep. My only ding to the experience was the breakfast... it's understandable, being a small hotel, not wanting to have an over abundance of breakfast inventory, but we have stayed in similar hotels where they had nicer offerings. Instant oatmeal in the little envelopes and premade, microwavable breakfast sandwiches go a long way. If you are looking for a safe, comfortable, friendly place to lay your head, don't let the lackluster breakfast deter you. There's a BK right next door!

Not much of a breakfast

Very clean and ongoing work to maintain and improve the property. The staff and owners were terrific. The first ninety days of 2025 I have spent forty five days in commercial lodging. I would rate this stay as better than all of the others I have stayed in this year so far. I normally would stay in the IHG property across the street but my last three Holiday Inn stays all had tepid water. Not here I had a hot shower.

I found nothing disappointing.

Location was great as I was visiting Fool’s Hollow Lake which was fairly close. The room was clean. There was excellent water pressure in shower and decent air conditioning. I felt it was a good value price-wise.

It’s an older property so it’s dated in appearance. There are no “recreational” amenities like pool, spa, etc. so it’s most appropriate for overnight stays only.

Very reasonable prices, owner is very nice. It’s a fairly quiet place to stay, I have stayed more than once at this hotel. I like the rooms with wood floors better than carpet and will ask for that next time I stay. There is a room with quite a few options for continental breakfast including toast, yogurt, cereals, muffins, juice, milk and coffee. It is right across the street from Los Corrales which is a very good restaurant for lunch or dinner.

The room we had this time seemed a little drafty, not too bad but it also had carpet. Other than that we were fine. Could be the room we stayed in last time was updated with the wood floors.

The manager on site was amazing and so welcoming. My children felt right at home and the open dining area that stay open all day was so convenient! It made me feel so secure and at home to be able to mingle and have somewhere seperate from our room to eat without having someone constantly watching over us. It was so homey!

The location sucked! The customer service was terrible at the restaurants in the area.

The rooms were cute and seemed very clean. The outside was also well-kept, with welcoming flowers and such. The staff was really nice. The breakfast was carb-heavy but good. It had the amenities most important to me: fridge, microwave, ice machine. There's also a washer and dryer for guests!

There were little things, like with all older motels--little annoyances with loud AC, quirky plumbing, etc, but nothing bad. It was a little pricey...but everything's getting ridiculously expensive.

This place was great value. It was great for our family. Rooms felt clean, and recently updated (hardwood floors, new countertops). We also had several dining options around town, which was really nice as well.

The breakfast was real basic - cereal, coffee, some yogurt. But honestly, for the price - you really can't expect a warm breakfast. There are cafe's in town you can go get yourself a full breakfast.

This is our second time using KC Motel. Rooms are clean and staff was very friendly and accommodating. We called ahead to ask for ground floor and they were able to arrange that. The room we had this time was tiny, but it was enough for our needs. We requested a late check out and we appreciated that it was granted. Probably depends on the day you need it, but they were quick to allow it for us. They were quick to respond to any questions we had also.

The room was fresh and well done. Lots of space. There was fantastic lighting in the parking lot at night. I had items in my truck bed and didn't worry about theft, plus, there is parking directly in front of the rooms. There was a small frig and a microwave in the room, as well as a coffee pot.

I can't brag about the breakfast, but what they had was well stocked.
