The hotel had a cool old-world vibe and they were actively updating the hotel to make it even better. The breakfast was really good and there were lots of options with the buffet. Beds were comfy and the room itself was surprisingly big. They had a free shuttle service that got wherever u were downtown fast, u literally just called the number, and the car would pick u up. the rooftop bar was awesome and they had a live band play every night.

the pool and hot tub were Sadley down during our stay because they were renovating the hotel. Also the spa was down on the day we wanted it because they were renovating.

The staff is amazing. We stayed specifically to take the ghost tour and our guide was amazing. I have more of an appreciation for the property. I can't remember her name? We found that the guests were also very friendly. Thank you for an amazing stay! It did not dissapoint and I highly recommend.

Hotel has had a lot of improvements since I last stayed there. I know it is very old and they do a good job of maintaining it but there are a few things that could improve. Our bathroom clawfoot tub had rust (understandable) . The shower curtain did not completly keep the water off the floor behind the tub and there was some past damage.

The staff were very friendly. Loved the cats in the lobby. Loved the history of the hotel- very fascinating. The beds were very comfortable. Liked that there were free activities to participate in. Loved the communication and the free shuttle service to restaurants since the kitchen was being renovated. Loved that it was a short walk to downtown shopping and there were hiking trails around the hotel. Loved the beautiful old homes around the property. Liked the games on the back porch and that the hotel was pet friendly even though we didn't have a pet. The yoga classes were great. Appreciated the parking was free.

The stopper in my tub didn't work so I didn't get to take a bath in the clawfoot tub. Didn't like that the ghost tours cost so much. Didn't like that breakfast was not included. Didn't like the high cost of the spa. Some loungers on the back porch would have been nice. Adult hours for the pool would have been nice-too much loud marco/polo! The grounds on the front and back could have been better maintained, maybe more attention to the flower beds/landscaping in those areas.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Friendly staff. Plenty to do on-site and free transport off the property. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast in the Crystal Dining Room was fresh and yummy even at 10:30am when they close at 11a. Had a double queen room, it was more than spacious enough for a girls' trip. The bathroom was adorable with what I assume is original or from the 30's remodel. 💯 recommend.

The pool could be open a bit later. More in-room hotel information would be nice. Needed more lighting in the room. It was hard to see in one section, especially the closet.

I love a historic hotel. It's not 'new hotel' perfect but has so much character nestled in such a beautiful setting. It's like going back in time. Ghost tour in the evening was well done. Wasn't sure about the beds, but I sure slept like a baby. Shuttle to town was so easy and a great benefit.

Elevator a little slow but the stairs have a low rise; I didn't mind using them. Water temperature fluctuated while showering but not detrimentally to either extreme. I found it amusing actually but I enjoy old hotel quirks.

Just how beautiful and authentic the hotel is. The staff was wonderful , helpful and answered all your questions. We really enjoyed the back of the property with all the games , swings and private sitting areas. The food was good at the sky bar. Drinks were also excellent. Our room was very comfortable. Overall we had a great experience. We did the ghost tour. I really wish I did The ghost investigation instead.

I feel that if you are a guest at the hotel/resort then your food and drinks should be discounted.. Non-alcoholic drinks should be free to guests..Hot tub was not hot

This hotel was beautiful both inside and out. The grounds were lovely to walk around and look at. Our room was comfy. We would or sure stay here agian.

We really wanted to enjoy a meal on the outdoor deck on the top floor and assumed we'd be able to take our dog there since it was outside. However, we were not allowed to have our dog out there. So that was a bummer, but didn't take away from our experience. We instead got our pizza to go and ate it on the veranda on the main floor.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the beds were very comfortable. The food was mostly very good - the pizza excellent. The ghost tour was fun and provided a lot of history of the hotel. There were a lot of activities especially for keeping kids occupied. The shuttle service was excellent.

The mattress cover was too small for my bed and they tried to just put a flat sheet over it and tuck it in, rather than using the proper size. The restaurant on the 4th floor was the only one open for most of the time and not large enough for the amount of people at the hotel. The bar/dessert balcony on the 4th floor needs some time of canopy as it is in the sun the whole time.

Historical setting, I got the room location I wanted on the 4th floor, quirkiness of the room, chair in the room was nice, the back porch was perfect for reading and doing work on my computer, temperature of the pool was great

Whoever repaints the bathrooms is not careful. there were paint roller marks on the window obstructing the pretty views, paint drips on the tile floors make it appear dirty even though it probably wasn't. It would be a huge task but cleaning the windows would be great for guest experiences. Hotel needs to tell trolley drivers to remind tourists that there are paying guests at the hotel so when they are dropped off to roam around or go on a ghost tour they might be for respectful to hotel guests who are paying to use the facilities.
