Lovely comfortable room and bed, just enough vintage desert feel, LOVED the bar and restaurant that were very much like a 60s time capsule, SO COOL!! Great food, great service. We can't wait to come back.

The only thing we didn't like was the NEWS playing in the lobby. You don't want to hear about hostages in Gaza, or anything on Fox or CNN for that matter, when you are trying to escape modern life for a romantic getaway. I would love to see them lose the TV in the lobby, or have some cool retro shows on to lean into the 50s/60s vibe there.

Overall it is a nice resort. I think the pool isn’t really what appears in the photos, it is smaller. The rooms are fine but the pillows very uncomfortable. The room smelled humid.

The restaurant called the Arches, we tried to get breakfast. No one was in sight when we entered. We sat down and there were couple of tables dirty. After q0 minutes sitting down no one arrived to take our ordered. My son found a waitress that said that she would be there in a couple of minutes, 10 minutes later she didn’t arrived. So we left. I think the restaurant is expensive so it should have good service. Terrible really.

Great location, outside of town, quiet beautiful setting. The room was spacious and very comfy. Loved the semi-retro style. Loved the pool and the whirlpool. The room’s spacious outdoor patio with a view of the mountains was a nice feature. Parking was easy. Didn’t get to try the restaurant/bar but I’ve heard great things about them.

There was a faint whiff of sewer gas when I first entered. This dissipated once I started using the bathroom sink etc. This is likely not anyone’s fault, it can happen in the best of places.

This is a lovely oasis just outside of town. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. It's a lovely setting, peaceful and serene. It would have been nice to spend more time and bike or play tennis. We loved the setting, the food, and the kindness of the restaurant staff. The pool looked inviting as did the all the surroundings. It was quite a treat to walk around the golf course that is no longer operational and my dog enjoyed all the sights and scents.

The rooms are a little dated - popcorn ceilings and somewhat tired televisions as manifested in the not-so-great sound. The sound of the fan in the bathroom was very, very loud - but really, that's it. None of these things would prevent me from visitng again. Service at the restaurant was gracious but very slow. It seems that they are pretty understaffed in all the restaurants in town, so compared to the 90 minute wait for a taco at the mall restaurant, our wait at Arches was no big deal.

We loved staying at the resort. Front desk was in general helpful. Hot tub probably needs some maintenance, it was really frothy.... But it's great there was a hot tub :) Rooms are not run down but not brand new either, in general room felt roomy and we had a view towards the desert in the back. No complaints, room was good! Free coffee in the lobby was appreciated too. Location is great, just a bit outside of the centre of Borrego springs. Onsite restaurant was good.

A couple of stovetop burners in the kitchenette would be great so easy meals can be prepared. A kettle for boiling water and a coffee maker to the room would be a simple add too. We had to go down to the car and make tea and coffee from our overlanding kitchen in the morning.

Stargazing. Hotel restaurant was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool area was very clean and welcoming. Rooms were very spacious!

The town advertises as a “dark city” so I thought the stargazing would be wonderful. But hotels are required to have outdoor lights for safety. You have to drive out to the desert to escape the lights. Which you could do from anywhere.

Location, pool, beautiful room great view. Transport was great.

Told all amenities were open in September. Arrived on 20th-September no bar no restaurant open. Booked under forced premises such a shame that full price was asked for Email to owners will be sent And the worst of it all was went to get food and all we had was 2 cups 2 plates, no toaster ect. Such a sham

The facilities are excellent. Wonderful walking paths. Best vegetarian breakfast I’ve had in the US. Avocado toast with tomato, egg, potatoes, and included a fresh perfectly ripe fruit bowl. Husband’s eggs Benedict was delicious. Lunch and dinner same delicious. Drinks are generously poured. Lovely rest after travels long distance.

Loved this hotel! Our stay wasn't long, it was around 9pm till 7am but THE VIEWS oh my goodness! To die for! I woke up at 6am to the most gorgeous sunrise on New Year's Day! It was incredible. It's worth trying to get a room that faces the east. We had a balcony and it was spacious and the rooms are just as big. Bathrooms have a little heat lamp in the ceiling too, I loved it all very much.

Honestly, since my stay wasn't so long, I really can't say anything that I didn't like.
