Amazing area of natural beauty and nice desert gardens. Many choices of room styles from individual casitas to small clusters of nicely appointed rooms. Best is the generous number of pools available to swim in. Some salt water as well as chlorine. Peaceful surroundings, a lovely classic bar and now a small cafe offering good morning coffee and baked goods.
I know it must be incredibly challenging to maintain this large resort in the desert conditions but there needs to be more shade provided around the pools. There weren’t any umbrellas and way too few tented cabana’s which unfortunately have seen better days.

La Casa del Zorro Resort and Spa offers a peaceful escape nestled in the heart of Borrego Springs' desert landscape. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the resort's beautiful blend of luxury and nature. The well-manicured grounds, lush greenery, and stunning desert views create an oasis that feels both secluded and serene. The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated, offering modern comforts with a rustic charm that fits perfectly with the desert surroundings. I stayed in one of their private casitas, complete with a personal pool, which provided a great level of privacy and relaxation. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the overall ambiance made it easy to unwind. The spa experience was exceptional. I indulged in a massage, and it was one of the most relaxing I’ve ever had. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive, ensuring a truly rejuvenating experience. The resort’s amenities, including the main pool, tennis courts, and fitness center, were well-maintained and added to the overall sense of luxury. The food at the resort’s restaurant was also a highlight. Each meal was thoughtfully prepared, with fresh ingredients and a menu that offered a good variety of options. Whether dining inside or outside, the setting was perfect for enjoying a meal with views of the surrounding desert and mountains. One of the standout features of La Casa del Zorro is its location. It’s far enough from the city to offer peace and quiet, but close enough to explore the nearby Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and other local attractions. The clear desert skies also make it an ideal spot for stargazing at night. Overall, La Casa del Zorro is a fantastic resort for anyone looking to escape into nature while still enjoying the comforts of a high-end resort. Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, or a bit of both, this desert retreat offers an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!
Bar and the restaurant closes too early, no live music.

How peaceful the surroundings were. And we really were looking forward to stargaze, but I must say when there's half a moon out it disrupts that. But it was nice to have a space to go to to stargaze.
The lack of a refrigerator. Although I did request one as when we entered our room, we had a wine chiller. But it didn't work and it was way too small for what our needs were. When we did ask for a refrigerator we were told we were going to be charged $25 but then the lady at the front desk realized that the one that was in our room did not work. So for that, I'm thankful. and we were not charged.

La Casa Del Zorro is a stunning resort. I enjoyed visiting it on a whim with my husband and seven-year-old son. We booked a poolside queen room with two queen beds and a patio and were pleasantly surprised by the room's size, tasteful decor, and enormous bathroom. My son was thrilled with the direct access to the pool, spa, and bathtub. The resort offers many fun activities, including giant chess, shuffleboard, horseshoe pits, and more. We only wished we had more time to take advantage of all that they had on offer. The gym was also exceptional, with three separate rooms: one with weights, another with treadmills, and a more open space for stretching and other similar activities. On our last morning, we stopped by the cafe, which was stocked with delicious food and Starbucks drinks. We're planning our next visit and are excited to check out one of their casitas and try their restaurant. I highly recommend staying at La Casa Del Zorro!
We stayed in a room next to the ice machine, which made it somewhat noisy throughout the night. The noise was noticeable whenever other guests were getting ice or the machine made more. Although it wasn't a big issue, I plan to request a room farther away from the ice machine next time.

The resort didn't have the room we reserved so they upgraded us to a "two bedroom casitas". The restaurant was great as always. We stayed here in 2021 and had dinner on the 2 nights of our stay then. The casitas had its own outdoor jacuzzi, very private!
This is minor: the wet bar had a microwave, refrigerator, sink, coffee maker and an supply of glasses and coffee cups. They supplied only 3 single cups of coffee. We had 3 adults in our party though the casitas can accommodate 6 people. There was only one towel but no sponge or dish soap for the wet bar. It would seem automatic to include a small bottle of dish soap.

A very warm welcome, fabulous room, great facilities across the site and all in a perfect location. The stay was part of a three-week California road trip and this stay has remained one of our highlights
Booking.com reservation assured no payment in advance, yet 50% was taken. This was fine, but it was extremely difficult getting confirmation from the resort that this money had been taken (like three phonecalls and 5+ emails). Just made me a little nervous in advance that there would be confusion at check in or payment, but all was fine and confirmation eventually sent in advance.

Loved our room, very spacious, super clean and all remodeled. The desk did text, to make sure everything was okay, but texts back didn't work when we needed something. Going to the desk or calling direct did work.
The staff at the restaurant were not accommodating. We could not get our bar tab sent or transferred to the restaurant when our table was ready. It was 4 steps away. And, could not sit where we wanted when we made reservations days in advance. We were given the choice of only 2 tables, one small one behind a post and another by a door on a chilly night. The hostess was telling phone callers that they were fully booked when the restaurant was not even half full? No one came later? All the better wines are by the bottle. Robes and maid service are only available by request.

Lovely, quiet location. Our casita was perfect for the two of us to relax & unwind. The restaurant was delightful & Starbucks was convenient. Pools were lovely & well kept. Strolling the grounds was peaceful & pretty.
Our private jacuzzi (which was a deciding factor of our vacation choice) was broken. We notified management, and someone did come by & "fix" it, but when we tried to use it again it still did not work. I hope they can fix it for the next guests. We could have opted to go to one of the public hot tubs on the property, but that defeats the purpose of paying extra to enjoy a private hot tub. The furniture in our casita looked nice, but is definitely in need of restuffing or replacing. Chairs and couch sink to awkward levels and you can feel the frames of the furniture across the backs of your legs. Not very comfortable.

We stayed in a Deluxe Pool View Room with a king bed in the Jacaranda building. The room was incredibly comfortable and lovely, and we especially liked the bathroom with the large shower and separate tub. We could walk right out to a patio and to a pool and jacuzzi. The property is nicely decorated and landscaped and the staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in the Anza-Borrego area.
I have no negative comments at all about this hotel.

Loved everything!!!!! Absolutely the best, most caring and professional staff I’ve come across on my US travels. Everything and everyone was AMAZING! The lady at the bar was very quick to identify a solo traveller and put me at ease. The maintenance guys adjusted my AC on request (the standard setting was too low for me). Absolutely all reception and security personnel were top notch professionals! You can rent out a bike for free; there’s always free bottled water available… The pools are out of this world! If it were up to me, I’d live there! LOVED IT VERY VERY MUCH! Recommend!!!
Nothing to complain about. All was great!
