The staff were amazing! We loved the location and the facilities available to us. Our kids loved the snacks and ice cream machine. The parents loved the free laundry room! So very welcome after a long trip to be able to wash clothes when needed. The Magic Castle is the perfect spot to stay in LA.

Our only concern was that we had limited information after we were evacuated due to the Runyon Canyon fire. We were able to get out of the hotel well, but in the confusion, we did not have to have any direction on where to evacuate. A tough situation for the hotel, but it was very stressful for visitors to LA who had nowhere to go. Management was exceptional in discussing our concerns and feedback when we were allowed to come back and could not have been more welcoming or helpful.

The location is great for the classic Hollywood experiences. The continental breakfast is a nice feature, although I would prefer to have access to more proteins; the 24/7 coffee maker is a great boon The staff is unequaled in attitude and service!

The bedroom proper was a lot dimmer than I prefer. The windows are almost full width of the exterior wall (rm 102), but the particular geometry just doesn't allow for much light. There are only two heavily shaded lamps whose controls were not immediately easy to locate and operate That is even more problematic in the evening when trying to dress for a night out.

This is our 3rd visit to the hotel. I couldn't find a room on their website for the dates we were going to be in Hollywood. I decided to try Booking.com and was so happy to find the perfect room!!! We love the unique style of hotel, great location to safely walk over to Hollywood, and the customer service desk and snacks are a hit for our family.

Our bed was a little uncomfortable. Also, there was a group above us that was very loud until about 2:00am. We were fine to hear them be loud. I was concerned that something was broken. It sounded like they were moving furniture all over the place. It was clearly kids in there. Not sure if there was an adult to supervise.

Great location close to Hollywood Blvd. 10 out of 10 for the hotels hospitality from the moment we arrived. Drinks on arrival and the kids very very spoilt with all the free snacks, soft drinks and ice creams. Breakfast was simple but great. We had to leave one morning early and staff were kind enough to organise breakfast for us earlier. The pool was great. Nice free laundry facilities

The room was clean but basic for the price. 3 kids didn't quite fit on the sofa bed, however the hospitality of the hotel outweighed all of this.

Wow, what didn’t we like about the property?! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like we weren’t just another booking, but a special guest. The kids were in absolute heaven, from the popsicle hotline to snacks on demand. I really appreciated the drinks and breakfast and my fav thing was the wide variety at the mini bar in my own fridge that was locked from the kids. I can’t say enough about how much we loved this hotel and can’t not wait to get back.

The staff and customer service was exceptional Kevin and Nick went over and above to make our stay amazing ,the complimentary snacks ,ice cream ,sodas and the popsicles made our stay so much fun.

Though the hotel was older 70s style if you stay knowing that you won’t have a expectation of it being luxury for Hollywood. It just had a good vibe. Get the room with Veranda over the pool that’s the only thing I wish I booked.

Free snacks, ice cream machine and soda fountain. The staff were super friendly and do your laundry for free as well. Incredible customer experience and good location that is close to the main strip of Hollywood.

The facilities are quite dated. Beds were a bit uncomfortable but we were happy to stay here given the positives above.

We had the best time at the Magic Castle. Wish we could of stayed longer. It was our first time travelling international, the Magic Castle was our very first experience of the USA. Everyine made us feel so special and welcome. It really set us up for the best family vacation ever. A truly was a magical experience. One of our highlights.

This place is sooooo good. All the free inclusions from the snacks to the free laundry service. Always fresh pool towels and sunscreen. The kids loved the popsicle hotline!!The staff are lovely, and can help with any question, whether it be transport, attractions, and just general help for tourists. Even the CEO and GMs get in and do the work, and happy to chat. The morning magician Alfonso also a great asset. Having a full kitchen is so handy. What they promise is what you get.

The place is a tad run down if you look closely, but not enough to distract from the stay

The amenities, free food, snacks, and beverages. The atmosphere was great, especially in the pool area. Free laundry. very helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel is in a very old structure, and while that had it’s charm there were also some downsides. The walls were very thin, and both nights our downstairs neighbor (who I’m pretty sure is a full time resident) would play their music at a loud volume (1:00am and 11:00pm, respectively). There weren’t window coverings for all the windows so very bright light shines into some rooms throughout the night. There was also a lot of street noise. The grounds, and our room, were visibly run down, but there was an effort to make things as clean and nice despite this. If you are looking for a standard hotel experience don’t stay here. But if you like a funky, quirky, retro vibe this is the place for you.
