The staff were kind and helpful from before the stay and even after check out. You can tell the cabin has been around for a while but it has been taken care of exceptionally and was very clean. The location was amazing, right in the heart of downtown and all its attractions were within a 10 min walk or less. We stayed in the cabin and they truly provided everything we needed in the kitchen to be able to save a coin and cook ourselves some food. Appliances work amazing and they provided some coffee and coffee filters for those who need it to start their day. They even give you some firewood and fire starters to utilize in the chimney.

The only thing that was a 9 instead of a 10 for us was that the bed was super comfy but a bit loud, even if you are just sitting down or adjusting yourself throughout the night. This wasn’t a big deal to me but my partner is a light sleeper and I toss in my sleep a lot so he did have to wear earplugs, so just something to be mindful of if this applies to you.

The decor in the room was perfect and we felt right at home. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the large TV and having a place to hang out outfits and a dresser for folded clothes. The multiple lamps were great. The coffee maker and darling lodge cups were a nice touch. We enjoyed the perfect little cabin. We liked that our small dog and Bird could accompany us ( with prior approval) on our stay and go to the Renaissance Festival with us The fireplace was nice, may have to consider a visit in late fall, early winter to be able to experience it.

Some folks left a dog in their room( which we thought was not allowed) and it barked at any movement until the owners came back later in the evening Saturday night, it didn't disturb our sleep Thankfully, Otherwise the room was very quiet and we enjoyed our stay! Our dog slept in his crate at night while we slept and went on adventures with us during the day!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The property was clean, decorated, and had everything needed for a relaxing mountain getaway. A perfect escape from the city madness. The check in process was easy and the staff was very friendly. The amenities were as described and worked perfectly. A short five minute drive and you're in the heart of the town. The surrounding view from the property front porch was beautiful. I could not recommend this property more!

An absolute beautiful property right in the middle of town. It snowed during our stay, which was just incredibly beautiful and serene.. loved every minute of it. We got our coffee from the shop right next door and walked across the way to Mama’s Egg House for breakfast, everything was perfect. The people in town were all so sweet and welcoming. My husband and I even considered moving in permanently :) Thanks to all the staff at Idyllwild Inn for making us feel so comfortable. We’ll definitely be coming back

The staff: Morton, the General Manager, was kind enough to waive the cancellation fee in spite of me missing the deadline. Thank you, Morton. Lisa was there to greet us and let me say that she is an amazing person. She was friendly, trusting, very accommodating, and she treated us like friends. Thank you, Lisa! Joyce is a really nice person. She's a good listener, patient, and we really liked her a lot. The property: The cabins are so quaint and peaceful. The bed we slept in was super comfortable. The cabin was equipped with dinnerware, silverware, cooking utensils, cookware, cheese grater, coffee pot, and the microwave was the quickest microwave we've ever used! Also, The Idyllwild Inn is directly across from the center of town. Everything you need is easily accessible, including PURE the coffee shop next door. Needless to say, we loved it and will be back!

An amazing experience awaits you at The Idyllwild Inn - Copper Mine. The architecture of this home is magical. The views are serene. It will give you goosebumps. This glorious cabin home features stunning rock formations, majestic trees and breathtaking views of the hills above. The private garage is a nice touch, and this "house of windows" is natural light heaven. The staff is excellent. The home is calm, tranquill and clean. This is a hikers delight. Book it now. The location! Was easy to walk to all places of interest in town, i.e. shops, restaurants, etc. The staff was super nice and helpful. The room was nice and comfy and clean. Had a mini fridge with a freezer compartment and a microwave. Also had firewood to use if needed. They had chairs and a gas grill outside for general use.

We had no problems so no complaints!

The property was bright, charming, and perfectly set in the center of town. The rooms each have their own theme, and ours was "Camp" to my son's delight. The room was immaculate and the AC kept us crisp and cool on a hot day. Terry and Lisa were so helpful in showing us the lay of the land and providing the local website for updates on musical events and happenings around town. Swimming at the sister pool Tahquitz was an added bonus.

The room was cozy and comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. The location couldn't be better--within steps of cafés, restaurants, and shops. Lots of hot water although it could be too hot. (See warning below.) The room has a fireplace with some wood but no kindling or matches. This was not a problem as I don't like to use fireplaces in bedrooms and the room's heating system is good and is individually controlled. One of the staff makes PIES. I bought a pecan-pumpkin which was delicious!

The carpeting is stained and needs a thorough cleaning. The upholstery on the two chairs is worn and stained. Needs to be changed. The hot water is TOO hot. It could cause serious burning. A great deal of care needs to be used as the temperature is controlled by one single faucet--a knob which is difficult to manipulate. Children using the shower or tub should be CLOSELY SUPERVISED.

Desk clerk, who also turned out to be the "Pie Lady" of local fame, showed us where we could park on the property next door (also owned by the same people) to avoid any steps to move our stuff into the room. Beautiful hand carved fireplace mantel on stone fireplace.

The "fire starter" wouldn't light the wood that was available (no kindling). Stains on the carpet.
