It has an excellent location, clean, comfortable, stylish rooms, and a nice breakfast. It is near Fort Ross, Jenner, Sea Ranch, and other gorgeous places and hikes (Salt Point). The ocean's presence is felt everywhere, and hundreds of hummingbirds hover over the bushes. The place got a new owner some time ago, and most of the rooms have been renovated. The cozy outdoor patio lets you eat breakfast, drink coffee or wine, enjoy the vast ocean view, or watch unbelievable sunsets. There is a nice restaurant on-site, which is very convenient. I strongly recommend the place as a getaway spot or while driving on Highway 1.

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the linens felt great. Nice location near the ocean for a quick getaway.

There was a binder in the room of hikes in the area, which was great. It would have been nice to have information about the Bar & Grill in the room - menu, hours, and perhaps other restaurants and shops up and down the coast. I wish the restaurant had longer hours so that we could have had a meal there.

Incredible place with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The morning ocean breeze mixed with the aroma of eucalyptus trees energizes you for the whole day.

The room was dated but a good size with sufficient amenities - small dining table, sitting area. There’s an enclosed (though small) dog park! The restaurant hosts were very friendly and there’s an adjacent space with a pool table. The lodge is across the street from the ocean.

The location is a little isolated - no shops or restaurants around other than the Ocean Cove Bar and Grill restaurant. The restaurant is only open til 8pm and has a very limited menu - mostly fried foods. The spa and sauna were out of order. The lodge listing mentions an outdoor dining area, which is just plastic table and chairs in the parking lot. The housekeepers didn’t come one day, and when I asked about it they said housekeepers are off on Sunday. That’s fine, but it would have been nice to be notified about that.

Love the view of the ocean, and the trails along the ocean just across the hyway were spectacular!! The food from the restaurant was very good, and the black gentleman who took our order was so very nice and friendly! 😄

We thought there should be a TV in the closed door bedroom also, which is where we, the parents, slept. Our 12 yr old son had the bed in the main room. It was disappointing.

I loved that it wasn’t a chain and was right on the coastal highway

I don’t have any dislikes, I can tell they are working to improve the property and I love they it will maintain its vintage appeal.

Nothing can beat the ocean view, and this place definitely has one. The staff was very involving, and helpful. We had a breakfast with a company of the stuff and other guests in the special break fast area in the lobby and that was very nice.

The place starts showing its age. It was clean, but not super clean and first of all it was a bit cold and the room was not perfectly dry to say the least. There were heaters provided, but there no power in outlets, so we had to ask the staff for help, which from the other hand was immediately provided. So it took a while to get warm and start to juice up devices.
