I really enjoyed my stay. My room had a beautiful view of the river and everything I needed for a couple of days of quiet, focused, peaceful work. The coffee in the room and muffins/snacks in the office were a nice touch, and I enjoyed visiting Cafe Aquatica nearby. There's also a gas station/store with just about anything you could possibly need, and lots of food, snacks, drinks, ice cream, etc.
The windows are great, most of them new, but only one had screens, so I had to choose between cool breeze and letting the bugs in (thankfully there didn't seem to be too many bugs). The bathroom smells like a very old bathroom, very musty. I think this might be unavoidable in an older building, but it was a strong smell if you're sensitive to that sort of thing.

Snacks available at the reception in the morning were a nice touch. The view from our room was beautiful. Wildlife on the doorstep was breathtaking. We stayed in the baby seal room. If we return we’ll book a room on the front so we have a bigger view over the river.
Tea bags in the room! We didn’t know we could park outside the building when we arrived and it was dark so we had to walk up to the lodge with the cases in the dark..not a problem really but missed face to face contact as we were late arriving and didn’t know. Our fault really. But really was a wonderful stay.

Absolutely stunning location right on the Russian River in Sonoma. We checked in quite late and the staff was helpful in getting me checked-in after hours with a lock box that contained the cottage key and instructions. The decor was tasteful and the bed was comfortable. There was a nice deep bathtub to relax in as well.
The family upstairs had several young children that enjoyed jumping up and down A LOT. It's unfortunate that there was no sound damping between the floors. Also, as soon as we entered I heard a mouse scratching in the walls behind the bed. Luckily, the jumping children must've scared it off and I didn't hear it again during our stay.

Arrived late (after 6PM) found office closed. The staff ultimately handled problem smoothly by phone after some complications. However, the room was the cleanest, neatest, tasteful possible. Perfectly comfortable, excellent sheets and towels. The Inn was so quiet it was spooky… 3 cars per hour during night. The views of Russian River out the room bay window were serene and tranquil. The office (old post office) was neat as pin, library, games, comfort furniture, with view of river and ocean. The inn is a truly perfect get away spot with small store next door and the Russian River estuary across the road 50 yards distant. I would move there if I could.,
Perhaps the issue with check-in after 6PM closing of the office could be addressed in a more comprehensive manner.

The staff (that is, Maria at the front office desk, the only staff we saw!) was exceedingly friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. She was even able to change our room when a better one meeting our needs became available. The location was ideal, right on the road next to the river estuary, but the room was quiet. The beds were comfortable and the lighting good.
We wish there had been some kind of table for writing on, and setting the laptop. The bathroom was a little bit slapdash--a bathtub had obviously been removed, and shower arranged for older or disabled visitors, but the floor tiles made it very slippery. The WiFi was a bit hit and miss, but that's not the fault of the facility, since this part of the coast is known to have faulty WiFi service.

The room was close to the Russian River and I could hear the breaking waves as it met the ocean. I liked that I could come and go freely. Great advice from staff about the area. Really close to Cafe Aquatica for coffee and breakfast. 🍳
Pick up breakfast was fine but would have like some coffee and tea to be available in the lobby😞. Bar of soap was very small. I had trouble finding my room as it was in a different location than the hotel. I wish that was explained to me as I arrived after dark.

You could spend literally hours on the amazing balcony, lounging in the chairs, watching the river flow past. Pelicans flying in formation, the sun setting over the ocean, and in the misty morning, deer running along the other bank opposite. It’s idyllic. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and apologetic that on a Wednesday dining options are extremely limited - we arrived with a supply of groceries knowing that our room had a kitchen. The room was huge, with lovely old wooden furniture and quaint features. If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax for the night, this is a good option.
The place is clean enough, but the carpets and furniture are old and could do with a deep clean. With a little bit of updating and repair, this place could be totally amazing. A box containing a muffin, a yoghurt and piece of fruit is not really breakfast, and shouldn’t be advertised as such. There’s a great cafe on the water serving good coffee and food, so better to just leave people to go there. We are pleased we stayed, and at a quiet time when we could benefit from the discount -I would not have been happy paying full price.

Wow. Great view. We got there just in time for sunset. It was beautiful. We didn't get the more expensive room right on water because we thought we would be arriving later, but it was still great. We got pictures from the deck and then set our chairs by the window. Loved the fireplace too. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Parking was convenient. We would definitely return.
Very minor negative was the breakfast. There just wasn't a whole lot. But it was nice to get something to fill your belly, but don't plan that it will sustain you for too long.

Nice suite with living room, kitchen and bathroom. It was somewhat rustic, but not in a bad way. Easy walk to Russian River. There is one nice restaurant in Jenner: River's End and it's only a 15 minute walk away. Also a nice breakfast spot across the street from Jenner Inn
Linen exchange without having to make special request would be good. It would be nice if they re-opened their restaurant. The River's End is closed Wednesday and Thursday leaving Jenner restaurant-less on those evenings

Great location, staff very helpful, terrific deck with river and ocean views
Suite was missing its coffee table, which staff reported (when we enquired) had been broken and wasn’t yet repaired & no replacement was available. During our previous stay, the freezer had ice trays (fridge doesn’t have an icemaker) but this time, there were no ice trays- staff provided some ice on request.
