The location, the pool

The fact that the continental breakfast was included in the price and that we couldn’t change it for another one that was 10€ cheaper! This is a stubborn policy: continental breakfast is priced USD21.50 and we just either a French toast or poached eggs and toast each of them priced at USD 11.95. So even though the breakfast was included and we did not take the continental breakfast we had to pay for these! Moreover the price we paid for the rooms was much higher than the one advertised when we were there… That’s the reason for my bad rating on the level of price/quality ratio. Also note that there the hotel is not along the shore: there is a road between the hotel and the restaurant. So we were very surprised of the surroundings upon arrival as the price per night was quite substantial.

Our room was so nice and spacious, with a lovely little patio that looked out on to Bodega Bay and a pretty grassy area. Our first day there a baby deer was eating grass near our patio. We loved the cows in the field right next to the property too.

Everything was great about our stay minus the bed. It was terrible. I can’t seem to understand how a hotel can have amazing views, grounds are so pretty also the views the staff was so attentive and helpful, and then they ruin it with the bed of nails. People please invest in a good comfy bed it’s the most important investment. A bad bed will turn people away.

I had anticipated spending 24 hours by myself in a room with a fireplace and king size bed with a balcony or patio and specifically requested to be notified if the hot tub was out of order to please make sure my room had a bathtub the original room I was given did not have a patio. The hot tub was in operable so was the pool and no bathtub. I later was awakened by severely drunk guests that were in the next room Notified the office. They moved me to a suite that did have a patio still no bathtub.

Having a bathtub or the hot tub those are the main reasons I went there for my birthday in the first place

Breakfast is good. Glad that we could get oatmeal cereal in the Continental breakfast. Dinner at the restaurant across the street was good. Pleasant and quiet environment. Nice staff! Excellent view from 2nd floor - beautiful sunset!!! Staff is very nice and professional. Queen bed is comfortable. Sitting area is comfortable. Everything works fine. I like the recycling practice at your hotel (i.e. recycling bin in the room, no waste of small bottles of hair/face products) We enjoyed our stay during mid-week when it is more quiet and less busy around bodega bay.

The sofa bed when opened wasn't comfortable for sleeping. Next time we will get a room with 2 queen beds. A microwave would be nice.

We love staying at The Inn at the Tides. We’ve been here several times, just never in winter during a storm. The fireplace keeps the room warm and cozy, when the wind isn’t raging. The view is incredible. The grounds are immaculate. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. We asked to change our room to one we’ve stayed in before, and they promptly took care of problems when we brought it to their attention.

The wind on the first day was frigid cold and the fireplace could barely keep the room warm. The bathroom was like walking into a freezer. Then in the middle of the night the fireplace went out and didn’t come back on until the next late the morning . We spoke with the manager the next morning and it was fixed while we went to lunch.

We loved the location, great views, staff was accommodating, was able to do birdwatching and watched sunsets from the property, pretty amazing, my hubby and kid loved the bed they didn’t want to get up. Complimentary white wine I liked can use it for my cooking. What we disliked the pool was not operational during our visit, asked for a discount but they were not willing to give, also the shower, water took a long time to drain this was one of the rooms at Drake’s Bay lodge, the food at the restaurant across the street was just ok.

Our view was exceptional, the room was very clean and comfortable and the complimentary continental breakfast was delicious and the quality and quantity exceeded our expectations.

The "picture window" blinds would open but not raise which diminished the impact of the view. The toilet tissue holder in the bathroom fell apart each time we tried to use it. We did not bother to report either of these issues during our stay, and they were minor inconveniences.

We really like this hotel and pool and have been at least five or six times. It's at the center of Bodega Bay and the restaurant is really good, if a little pricey sometimes. The continental breakfast (included with stay) includes items I highly dislike (granola) but you get 25% off other breakfast items. Pool and spa at good temps, though both were in the sun almost whole day. Followed personal requests (bottom floor, near pool), which was awesome.

We were a little frustrated with the fact that even though we had four people in the room, we were only given three bath towels, two swim towels and two robes and had to request more (though requests arrived quickly). Wish they had towels at the pool as I thought I remembered them having before. Also, keys kept deactivating with very little to make it happen.

I loved the hotel. It was very convenient and clean. Nice little porch to sit outside, and the staff was great.

The Inn is affiliated with the Wharf Restaurant across the street. The food was okay but there was a serious lack of staff. We had problems receiving our bill each of the three times we were there. They lost my credit card for about 10 minutes and kept ringing up the wrong charge on my credit card. Even for the vouchers you get from the Inn for breakfast a manager had to deduct that amount from your bill. If the manager wasn't around, you had to wait till they came back?? Mind you almost everyone has a voucher. The first time we walked in a server was extremely rude, just telling us where the hostess stand was. I truly did not like the restaurant part of this place. The Inn though was very nice.

The room was large, comfortable, and well appointed with extras including wine glasses, opener, robes, & coffee. Parking was plentiful and easy near our room. The included continental breakfast at the restaurant across the street was generous and the staff were attentive.

I would be nice if they provided filtered water or a water cooler to fill bottles; the tap water taste metallic.
