Location was great- right in the heart of town. Employees were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of towels and other items for our use. TV worked well with many programs. Hotel was quaint and well kept up. You could hear the ocean right across the street.

Breakfast would have been great. Looked like they used to serve it. Bed totally uncomfortable and cold- no extra blankets and the heater didn’t seem to work. Chairs and table were wrought iron, outside type, that were hard and uncomfortable so we added a pillow from the bed to use them.

Maintenance issues. The cold water handle for the shower was broken, and I was not able to wash up. Unfortunately I did not found out until later in the evening and the reception desk was closed after 6pm. I can't understand how housekeeping overlooked this problem.

Becky was extremely welcoming and accommodating. Becky: Thank you so much for putting my whole part upstairs with ocean views, and also for you flexibility with all of the changing message: we are not coming, we ARE comng after all. You are a wonderful host. We are all most appreciative! Also, I loved the hot bath so much. There was plenty of hot water and it was hot enough! A big plus. The heater worked well, and the room was comfortable heat-wise.

I can't think of any improvements.

Perfect location close to restaurants and beaches, clean room, friendly staff. The room has all you would need for a short trip up the coast - mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, and hair dryer.

My mom and I stay here every year and throughly enjoy our trip! This year there was some work being done, and we noticed the room didn’t have a table and chairs anymore. We sort of missed this bc it seemed very helpful for morning coffee, evening snacks, games, etc.

great location on Hwy 1. a comfortable stay. the mattress are great! ocean view from our room. some reviews make a fuss on the traffic noise when windows are open. well, that’s a given for any property sitting next to Hwy 1. the room includes a small fridge and microwave along w/ Keurig coffee. that was appreciated. also, the staff is great.

I like the location with stores and restaurants being so close. Breakfast was not served. If breakfast was served, our stay would have been even better.

I only would have three requests: more comfortable pillows, for the bush outside the seaspray room window to be cut down so we can see the sunset, and for the showers to be fixed up because the worn-out material around the shower door would make the water go through and wet our floors. We just cleaned it up which was fine, but the showers do need TLC.

The Gualala Country Inn is a jewel. The owner was so sweet and personable. She upgraded my room to an ocean view! My room was clean and neat and had all that I needed for the one night stay. It had two double beds - both very comfortable (me in one and my dog in the other). I loved the grounds, which included a small, well-tended garden area with lots of flowers and other attractive foliage. There was also a gravel lot behind the parking area that my dog really enjoyed exploring and playing catch on. There were wild turkeys that came to enjoy their evening meal which the owner provided. She also provided a list of people meal options. I ate across the road at the Vue.

Great hotel along the road. Was clean and peaceful. Staff was friendly and very helpful. My only regret is that they do not have EV chargers. I highly recommend them to consider adding 1-2 Level 2 chargers, as it is almost impossible to charge when driving along this area if the cost. First world problem! Great friendly staff with tons of information on local beaches and trails. Lovely location facing the confluence of the Gualala River and the Pacific Ocean. Cozy room with cute bedding and decor. Also had a frig, coffee pot and microwave. They got us restaurant reservations we couldn’t manage on our own. Sweet.

There were some repairs it could use. Tub drain missing, mirror needs replacing, a bit of trim here and there.

Very friendly front desk personnel! They provided us with everything we needed, some snacks and water was on house, just amazing human at the front desk! It probably should be obvious that guests need to be treated as human beings, but I forgot already how it felt like, before I came here! Just made my stay so much better!
