My husband and I chose this quaint Inn to stay at for two nights during our 25th anniversary. We were traveling up the coast visiting lighthouses. This Inn Is in close proximity to Point Arena Lighthouse. The owner and host, Karen, treated us like family. The customer service was superb. Any questions or concerns that we had was met with immediate results above and beyond expectations. We even enjoyed the limited cell phone reception. We were able to text but not receive many calls via Verizon. There are hard wired phones in the room in case family does need to reach us in an emergency. It was nice to have that break. We have already started to plan a trip back soon.

The owner and her staff are super kind and friendly. We enjoyed the inn’s serene location with views overlooking the ocean. We also enjoyed walking down to the pier and shore below with Cove Coffee in the mornings and Pier Place for lunch and dinner. The Point Arena Lighthouse and National Monument scenic trails are a close drive.

For us, Point Arena is a 3-night max location given its remoteness, although this property is a great place to completely relax and unwind. Note that the driveway is very steep (though we easily walked up and down it). Just a nuance to access this steep property, but know that parking is limited, one two upper levels, and one-way. You drive up to the very top to stop at check-in. Then if no parking is available, back up into a turnaround to head back down for lower level parking facing the driveway.

This is a quirky hotel, run by a quirky but friendly headmistress. Talking to her, and getting tips on local attractions, was a highlight of the stay. Don't overlook the hike that starts between two of the hotel buildings. It quickly takes you up along the cliffs that line the bay. Do this at sunset, and you won't soon forget it. The quirky wood sculptures that adorn the hotel are also a highlight.

There was no restaurant, due I guess to staffing issues, and we arrived by bicycle, and therefore couldn't drive back to town (Point Arena) for dinner, so we made do with take-out-quality sandwiches delivered to the room. Better than starving. The supposed eating places in the harbor were *all* closed. But if you have a car and can drive back to town you'll be fine. Also, the hotel is a bit run-down and fraying at the edges. But it's clean and comfortable, and one of the few places to stay on this part of the coast.

We were road tripping and booking stays on the fly. We didn't have a lot of time to review details of hotels, etc., and simply booked because it was generally where we thought we'd end up that day. We could not have been more pleasantly surprised with the quality of hotel and the absolutely gorgeous views. The staff was so friendly and easy going. A perfect stop after being in the car all day. What a treat!

Room furnishing standard and cleanliness was superb. Free continental breakfast was an unexpected benefit.

Needed mains sockets that were accessible. Lamps with 2x inbuilt USB sockets are fine, but my wife needed her two (watch and iphone) while I needed 4 (watch, iphone, iPad, MacBook Pro). I have my own power block, but the wall sockets were behind the bed, not easily accessible.

Staff, especially Karen, were friendly, efficient and attentive. Lovely side angle view of ocean from our room with balcony. Spacious room, very clean, comfortable bed. Refrigerator, microwave, fireplace and jacuzzi were nice extras. Continental breakfast available in lobby or could order hot breakfast in advance to be delivered to room. Because of the nice weather the night we arrived we had a nice dinner.on the hotel veranda overlooking the ocean. We hiked the trail behind the hotel property all the way to Point Arena Lighthouse....a gorgeous 4.2 mile trail along the seashore. We borrowed DVDs from hotel. They also had games to borrow.

All good....we plan to stay again sometime.

Really kind staff and a nice place to stay to get some peace and quiet. The rooms are massive and there's great water pressure, and no shortage of hot water (quick hot water too). They have dvds for free that you can take to your room to watch.

The only complaint is that the rooms are a tad dated, and the tvs in the room are rather small for how far they are from the bed, but overall a great stay.

Only stayed for one night on our road trip but what a wonderful place. Up on a hill above a small boatyard with great views of the ocean (it was unfortunately a bit foggy while we were there). Lovely big, clean room with jacuzzi bath. Lady in the lobby was so friendly. Limited places to eat but pizza place just down the hill or you can eat at the Inn. Loads of free parking. Loved it.

What a great find, we brought a group of photographers and they could not have been happier, the view was great, and the hidden hiking path was beautiful. the rooms are so comfortable and clean. I wish we could have stayed another night. The host Karen was so nice and sweet and the food was wonderful! We will be returning to this property and highly recommend it! Thank You Kerrick and Julie.

Quiet location near Hwy 1. By the sea. Access to hiking trails. Beautiful flowers on the property and lovely decorated room. Spot on!

We could hear our neighbors clearly! We were in 113 which is probably rented with the room next door on many occasions but still…maybe some sound proofing can be added!
