The innkeepers were very lovely and left complimentary wine from a local winery. The bed was very comfy and we had a nice small ocean view. There are nearby restaurants you can get food from. It's peaceful and quiet.

The walls are fairly thin, we could hear our neighbours pretty clearly if speaking loud enough. We did have some ants in the bathroom but when we mentioned to the Innkeeper they said they would look into it immediately. We were only there one night and noticed in the morning. So I can't verify how quickly it was looked into.

This is a great property to visit with a pet. The cottage we stayed in and grounds are very pet friendly with room to run and a private yard. The hot tub was wonderful. The location is a bit away from restaurants and shops, but that is exactly what we were looking for. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The shower in our cottage was basically unusable. There was so little water pressure there was no way one could wash their hair or have any kind of meaningful shower. The water never got hot in the bathroom - it barely got warm after running it for over 30 minutes (strange since the water in the kitchen got hot super fast). The cottage has some mold issues, with a very strong smell in some places. With a little effort on these issues the cottage would have been fantastic.

I traveled with my two Boston Terriers, the spread out property grounds is heavenly for dogs, many places to sniff and walk to. The room was spacious and clean and the large balcony had a distant ocean view. Everything felt very cozy,dogs were unhappy with me to have to leave after just one day. They also provide dog beds and food bowls with dog treats and a FRISBEE, a small bottle of Mendocino wine for the humans.

Had to use Resort WiFi, my own didn’t work in the Region. It’s a problem not connected with the property, just the Nothern California coast .

Great location, we were given adjoining rooms with a connecting door in the middle. Big plus. The local wine was a nice touch. Convenient check-in process.

The remote check in was a bit confusing at first. Their form wanted my credit card details even when the booking was paid for. It was not clear initially whether they were double charging or it was just incidentals. Perhaps they can streamline and better explain the process. It was also a bit inconvenient attaching copied of ID while on the road.

Room was cozy with fireplace. Bed comfortable

Loud road construction without warning at 2 am - 4:30am. At around 2 am there was very loud roadwork in front of the Inn. It was so loud that it totally disrupted our sleep, there were flashing lights right outside the window, apparently they were paving the road in front of us and our room faced the street. there was no mention that there would be nightwork in front of Inn to us. It lasted for 2.5 hours.

We loved everything about this place. They obviously love animals because they set up the cutest bed/towel/bowls/poo bags and even a Frisbee for our dog. We had our own little backyard, a bottle of chardonnay, and a special blend of coffee. They really put in the extra work to make our stay comfortable. And we were only there 1 night. We did not expect to be as satisfied with our cute little cottage as we were.

There was nothing we didn't like. Everything was perfect.

Our little cottage was so quaint and adorable! We loved the little extra touches upon arrival, like a welcome note, a small bottle of wine, dog bowls, and dog treats. We loved the little binder that provided a history of the inn. The fenced yard was very convenient for us to let our dog out to potty, as well. Many times, we saw rabbits in the yard! Luckily, our dog is only interested in smelling the bushes and was unfazed by the rabbit. Also, we absolutely loved the window view over the property/of the ocean. Overall, a cute little stay!!

The walls were a bit thin, and it would have been nice to have a bigger sink other than just the bathroom sink so we could wash our dog's feeding bowls more comfortably, but this is a small cottage and we knew what we signed up for so not really a con on the inn's part, more just a little inconvenience that I'm happy to overlook because of how cozy of a stay it is :)

Location. Bed was super comfortable. View was wonderful and we had terrific weather… Sunny days in NorCal coast are always a treatZ.

Housekeeping could be more attentive to dusting details on glass pendant lamp, bathroom fan, door panels, dresser front… room was otherwise clean but these details make a difference for first impressions and appearance of clean. We could hear our neighbors talking through the walls but appreciate the respect of guests for quiet hours.

The bed was great, so comfortable! The room (private cottage) was so private, it felt like it was just us at the facility. We had our own little backyard with hot tub and porch with seats to enjoy the quiet. The location is so close and quick to get to other places for food or adventure. Each staff that I met was happy and kind. They explained things easily.

Due to limitations with water in the area of Mendocino, they only have us two beach towels instead of bath towels. The shower was small and it took forever to get warm water. The floors were dramatically sloped and while we felt it was part of the charm our room would not have been ADA accessible.

We loved our stay in the Garden cottage! The room was clean and cozy and the fact that it is separated from the other cottages gave our stay an intimate feel. The patio is a great addition and the soaking tub was absolutely amazing, plenty big for two, with ample hot water. The staff was super friendly and very communicative.

The room is very bright in the morning, the curtains were decorative and didn't block out the light in the morning. The only "improvement" I could suggest is more substantial curtains.
