Very friendly and helpful staff. I got a great room! It was nice having laundry area.

I didn't like that there was garbage under the bed. And also the bathtub was not very clean. But everything else was good in the room. I didn't like that it was $20 a night for each pet I stayed for two nights I paid $40. My poor pets slept in the van the first night. Two nights is like a hotel room for a human for the price of a two pets! Definitely need pet fees way lower, like 5 or 10 dollars if you're worried about it that much get a deposit from customer for the pets, and the customer gets their deposit back if the room has not been messed up from their pet Everything is so expensive nowadays that, that $20 a night won't let me be going back to that hotel... I can't afford that extra cost. And I won't leave my pets out in the car ever again.

Big spacious rooms, clean and well maintained (mostly). Lots of parking space right in front of the rooms. Good gardens to sit around. Place available for bonfire. Great location. Very close to Glass beach and Pudding Creek beach. Close to other points in Mendocino as well.

I had 2 rooms and the washroom in 1 wasn't clean. I had checked in late in the evening and when I told them about the problem, they tried to get someone to come and fix it but they couldn't catch hold of that person.

Single story, a little off the highway. Beautifully landscaped. Picnic tables and gazebos. Dog friendly, with small exercise yard. Easy access to coast and Mendocino, Fort Bragg. Rooms were large and beds were comfortable.

Old and a bit shabby. No table and chairs in rooms. No place to hang towels. Manager failed to respond to requests or answer e-mails. Cost for pets not disclosed until after you book room, and much higher than in previous replies to questions in Booking. For that price they should pick up the waste in the pet yard more often.

the staff were very accommodating in making a last-minute room change for us; which we really appreciated. everything was basic, but had exactly what we needed before we headed up north to camp in cooks valley. loved the large in-room fridge/freezer.

unfortunately the laundry room was out of service while we were there, so we needed to go to a separate business for that - not the biggest inconvenience but worth mentioning.

The garden was pretty & relaxing. Everything in our room was clean. Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast had a good assortment of hot & cold cereal. Fresh fruit. A desk chair that did not work properly was quickly replaced.

The bed was ok but a bit too hard for us. We like our mattress to be softer. The muffins were 3 in a package & not very good. They tasted like they had a lot of artificial ingredients . The outside could use a little attention ,window screen were bent, lots of dust on the outside of our door.

The property management was very accomodating. I had booked on night on a very busy time in a very busy tourist area and decided to leave a day early, but according to Booking.com there were no rooms to be had, but when I got to the Surf Inn they found me a room. Very nice people and we always stay there when we visit Ft. Bragg, ca.

Cell service is spotty, but that isn't their problem. they provide bare minimum and you have to go to office for extra towels etc. If you travel alone it isn't a problem, but last time we had 4 people.

The refrigerator actually had a freezer. There was carpet on the floor. The big shower, with no bathtub, had great water pressure. The toilet had a hand bar on the wall to assist in using it. There was an extra blanket available. Everything was very clean. There was actually a place to sit down to eat breakfast. The room was comfortable and quiet. The gardens were beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The location was great. We enjoyed how easy it was to come and go. The garden was nice to enjoy the day and eat some of our meals. Very nice over all. We love how quiet it was as well. Staff was nice.

Room could smell better than it was. We got there right after it was cleaned and it didn’t smell like it was cleaned. Maybe use different cleaning agents might be helpful.

Comfortable room. Queen bed felt like a King. By King I mean: hard and unforgiving... but Comfortable enough. The gardens were a very nice walk around. I look forward to staying again sometime soon. The small recliner was a pleasant surprise. The step-in shower was fantastic with tons of water pressure and lots of heat.

I would prefer a dining table rather than a work desk. But still very good.

Size of room was good. Bed was comfortable. Love the Gardens....and they are well maintained.. My favorite room is #160 but have not been in it for quite awhile. Rooms are quiet. Location is great! Parking was great! Room was very clean upon arrival.

Because we had a "handicapped" room, we had no closet so no place to put our clothes. DID NOT LIKE THAT at all. In addition, our room had no desk upon arrival but a housekeeper had one put in for us upon request. Having only a "wand" shower was inconvenient with grab bars and only 2 hands but I'm not sure what might have been better. The huge cushioned chair was not great in a handicapped room...if I had been using a wheelchair or even my walker, the chair would have made navigation difficult. Breakfast was offered but was unappealing so I did not eat there.
