Wonderful Victorian B & B within walking distance to town. Room was spacious with comfortable bedding and nice bathroom. Fireplace was a nice touch. Wine & cheese served at 4:00 was excellent with a nice outdoor deck to enjoy it on.

I had stayed here before some years ago and the breakfast was AMAZING but new owners now and breakfast was a strange in that it was served in a thermal "basket" delivered to our room with an array of both hot & cold selections but very awkward trying to eat on the tiny table in our room and no tray to eat in bed. Taking the "basket" down stairs to the dining room was an option but again seemed awkward unpacking the thing, etc. Most B&B's have you at the dining room where you can visit with fellow guests. Also did not like having to pay full amount a week in advance--what's up with that?

Enjoyed being upgraded to larger room. Wine and cheese at Blue Door Inn was excellent. Staff very friendly. Location of Packard House is close to art galleries, shops, and restaurants, as well as the coastal path and the wild Pacific Ocean. Added bonus: a spouting whale.

This old house has charm, but both bathroom and shower room need upgrades. Lack of good ventilation in toilet area. Fan in shower room did not turn off after showering. Impossible to block out the fan sound since there was no door between shower and bedroom. Some suggestions: Flooring in bedroom should be wooden for ease of cleaning. The window should have a screen. Breakfast would be better if served in common dining room since there are no chairs or table to eat on in the bedroom.

We LOVED our stay in Mendocino. We stayed at the Blue Door Inn, and from the moment we arrived we fell in love with it. It's a beautiful house from the outside, and even more beautiful on the inside. Check in was simple and easy, with very friendly staff. The room 'Buckingham' was just beautiful. Furnished nicely, huge comfortable bed, 2 comfy chairs in the room, an amazing bath and soft cosy robes in the room. They even provided us a kettle for our room upon request. The breakfast is delivered to your door in the morning (8:30) and consisted of eggs/grits, yoghurt parfait, a pumpkin bread and coffee. The common areas downstairs feel just like a beautiful home, really, we can't recommend this place highly enough, we wish we would have stayed more than 1 night.

The breakfast delivery each morning was so precious and well-curated. It always included various savory, sweet, and baked options —always fresh with something for everyone. The property was well-kept, and the bed and bedding were comfortable and cozy. The property is in the heart of it - if you are looking for accommodation close to shops, restaurants, and the Point Mendocino trailhead - this location checks all those boxes. Our room was a great size, and we found ourselves relaxing on the chairs in the afternoon with the windows open—very peaceful! We had no trouble finding parking each day.

The only opportunity was the lack of shade or window treatment on the small bathroom window, but this was quickly fixed with a hand towel. Because of location be prepared for some street noise (mostly people walking by talking and laughing) this typically died down by 10 PM.

The place was very quaint and comfortable at a nice location, but check in was at a different location a few blocks away. The breakfast was a basket delivered to our door and was wonderful. The wine and cheese hour was nice as well. A pretty hiking trail, Point Mendocino Headlands, was a short walk away and was beautiful.

There was no microwave or ice maker available in the building. It would have been nice to have a microwave and an ice maker available at least in the common area. A microwave in the room would be best.

Special dietary requests were met only on the first morning of our three night stay. We should have mentioned it again the day they brought us a regular breakfast but we forgot.

The "fireplace" was a lame gas burner under fake logs that barely had any flame. Staff told us it doesn't get any better. Really shouldn't be advertised as a "fireplace" TV is outdated and unable to link to streaming services. Only provides local channels.

The wine and cheese hour was wonderful. I liked the Chardonnay, the olives and cheese. I got a little tipsy. The Inn is one of four. I stayed at the Blue Door Inn. My room was comfortable and the breakfast was outside my door in a basket. I loved the fireplace in my room. I opened the window and could hear the waves in the distance. I will definitely stay there again. I also enjoyed the Vichy shower and soap.

The mattress needs to be flipped over.

The bed and breakfast is located in an old historic building which is preserved on the outside and is remodeled on the inside. It is conveniently located close to downtown and there's a great Italian restaurant just around the corner. There's enough parking and it was quiet at night (we are light sleepers). The staff was great and friendly.

Breakfast was good but I would have preferred non-sweet or savory options as I like to limit my sugar intake throughout the day.

The staff were all very lovely and helpful, the daily breakfast was absolutely delicious every day the only thing that would have made it better would have been more flexibility with the timing of its delivery. I was only able to enjoy the wine and cheese hour one day, but it was a nice spread and gesture for the guests.

I was staying for a week and wish my room would have had a microwave or hot plate to take advantage of leftovers from eating out, but I knew that wouldn't be there in advance so not a big deal.

The Inn we stayed in (I think there are 3 separate buildings) was located within walking distance to everything within Mendocino. Our room was located in a house that had a common outdoor area with a partial view of the water, a sitting area inside and a kitchen. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was delivered to our room every morning. It was delicious. I would definitely stay there again.
