We enjoyed a lovely stay over the July 4th holiday weekend. Booked 2 rooms, one for me and my husband and the other for my mom. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The bed was SO comfortable - I slept very well every night. We've been to this area several times and even stayed at Sea Foam located right behind this property. Prefer this inn for the value and ease of self-checkin. Short drive to Mendocino and Fort Bragg. Highly recommended!

It was perfect.

We loved the whole setup and environment, i.e. small number of units, exceedingly quiet (we were lucky that no one was on either side), nice wood patio overlooking a green lawn and view of trees with the ocean peeking through them. Nice seating and fire pit in the garden.

Exceedingly hot when we arrived, the sun drives straight into the sliding glass door however it cooled quickly with the evening air. Coffee in jar was old, suggest vacuum sealed coffee pouches. The room was a bit cramped, the bathroom sink counter space was very small, barely space to put things. Overall these things dimmed in view of the privacy and quiet setting.

Very relaxing. We stayed in the Bayview Suite and the big window was nice. It was overall very comfortable and quiet. A neighbor was definitely playing instrumental metal music for about 12 hours one day, so the sound of the ocean was drowned out but it wasn’t that bad and we were out enjoying the beaches and Fort Bragg most of the day, anyway. And that is just the way it goes with neighbors sometimes. The room description mentions two beds, which it had, but one was a very small pull out bed with no sheets. Just take along an extra top sheet if you plan on using that bed. The fact that it was dog friendly was a huge bonus. Oftentimes you’re not allowed to leave pets there when you leave, which is annoying, so it was a big relief to be able to leave our big dog there to sleep while we explored. Staff was quick to respond to email inquiries, too.

Great location, gigantic window with partial ocean view, fireplace and large bathtub were great!!

The ocean view is very obstructed by dead trees across the street, dead as in they have no leaves there’s just sea moss hanging on them. Our only issue was having other guests walk in front of the large window in the Zen suite looking for a receptionist and then coming up to the window to ask where they were. Extremely awkward. I wish it was fenced off, the window is huge.

Wonderful location just south of Mendocino. Beautiful view, with a dramatic secluded cove across the street. Very comfortable beds, perfect kitchenette, spacious bath and tub.

Comfortable club chairs would have added a lot to our enjoyment of the fireplace, though the couch was adequate.

The flowers onsite are truly outstanding. We loved the fire pit and tranquility. Being able to walk a short distance and trek down to the cove was unbelievable!

The mattress could stand to be replaced.

We had a wonderful stay at Inn at Buckhorn Cove! It’s a small, boutique property. We enjoyed the outside fire pit. Beds were really comfortable. The property is really close to Mendocino.

Beautiful property, serene despite being just back from hwy, thoughtfully chosen amenities, beautiful room and deck ( we stayed in the sunset room). We wont hesitate to stay here again.

The ambience was perfect.

We arrived late. We had a number handy. We tried to reach that number. But no one responded. Even no one contacted us the next day.

Staff was very helpful and courteous. They helped to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were decorated with a cute theme. Loved the ocean view and the comfort of the king size bed.

When we moved onto the Cozy Corner on Tuesday, the linens were a bit damp but was able to dry things out. Also, we were never able to get the fireplace lit nor get the furnace to come on. The coffee pot should have some instructions as I couldn't figure it out. Also, the screen door needs to be replaced.
