The room was clean, quiet, everything functioned (drains, lights, etc.), the breakfast was ample, and the staff very good.

When we came back in the evening, there was little or no parking in the lot.

We always stay at Quality Inn when we are in the Long Beach area. We also leave our car there while we are on a cruise and take the shuttle to and from the cruise terminal.

What is the 45 minute ride from LAX to the hotel the hotel was in a great location. It was quiet and peaceful. We spent too nice day before we went out on a cruise 10 minutes from the port.

I arrived very late, told them in advance, and had requested a top floor room - and got it. This place is basic, safe, with good off-street parking with a pizza joint next door and an Asian restaurant across the street. LBX airport and Hilltop Park are close by. (Hilltop Park gives good views of Long Beach harbor but the Queen Mary is hidden behind skyscrapers.) Free breakfast included.

The free breakfast is the usual - rubber scrambled egg and salty sausages, I would stick to the coffee and cereal (and there is a waffle maker you can fight other guests over). Did not use the pool/hot tub but they looked a little tired with cracked paint and tile, needing a refresh.

Ivan at Front desk was very nice, professional and helpful. The breakfast was good, the coffee was so so. The hotel is clean and staff are mostly helpful.

They charged us $126 for a member of our party who fell sick and soiled the bed. The Supervisor/manager insisted no food to be taken to the room even though the family member was unwell during the trip and has mobility issues. The same supervisor stood watch over us when we went to collect our luggage from concierge as though we were going to steal something.

The breakfast in the morning was so good. It was simple and basic, but something about those eggs and sausage was great. The TV had plenty of channels. The location was good, only a 10 min drive to DTLB. The hardwood floors in the room were nice. As soon as we walked into our room, it smelled like peppermint, which I enjoyed. The shower had shampoo and conditioner, and I actually liked how it was in a dispenser and not those tiny travel bottles. There was a small pool but we were mainly sightseeing so we didn't go swimming but it was there. Every lamp had plugs for a wall outlet and a USB, the clock radio and outlets as well.

There was only half and half creamer at the breakfast for coffee. I need my colon French vanilla or basic hazelnut creamer. Half and half is yuck and no flavor. So I did have to get a coffee at a close by 7/11 after breakfast while on our way to DTLB.

Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean and didn’t have a bad smell. They have clearly updated the room recently(except the bathroom). Staff was friendly even though we had to check in very late. Breakfast was good and as pictured on the website: sausage scrambled eggs, waffles, toast, pastries, fruit, hot and cold cereal, yogurt, juice, and coffee.

The bathroom in our room (104) was in bad shape. The door had large chips in the paint, there was a hole in the wall from the door handle hitting it, there was a shower curtain rod was falling out of the wall, and the surfaces hadn’t been wipe down. There were dirty handprints all over the door and toilet. Definitely needs to be updated like the rest of the room.

I found it to be quiet and very comfortable. I was glad to see there was no carpet in the room, and the bathroom was obviously cleaned. The towels were soft and breakfast was surprisingly good. The only thing missing was half and half for the coffee, which was temporary as they had run out and expected it later that day. The staff was very warm and friendly.

Half and half and maybe plant some lemon grass and/or lavendar to keep the bugs away because spiders don't like them.

The room was a good size, beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good. Fair variety of foods. Housekeeping brought us new pillowcases when my husband had a cut on his ear overnight.

This room definitely needed a deep cleaning. Floors were dusty, dirty. Inside side of the bathroom door was dirty, you could tell where it had been most touched. Baseboards were in need of a good cleaning. Would it deter me from staying here again? No. But it may deter others from staying here.

Everything was clean and I felt safe. The staff was pleasant and helpful with our luggage and room location.
