Rooms( suites) were very comfortable and roomy. The reception and all other staff were friendly and professional. And the location was excellent for West Hollywood amenities.

The vino and vinyl could be greatly improved with just a few snacks offered as well. And the actual room that it is held in, seems very stark and uninviting.

We absolutely loved our time at Montrose. We travelled from Sydney Australia and were looking for a hotel that was central to everything yet quiet and discreet and we found that in the Montrose. A 5 min walk to Santa Monica blvd, less than 5 min drive to Sunset Strip and 5 mins drive to Beverley Hills. The staff were so incredibly helpful throughout our staff from the valet staff to the Reception and Andrew at the restaurant. They took the time to guide us on local places to visit and eat at which were sooo much better and more authentic West Hollywood than we would have ever thought to go to. The rooms were spacious (there were 4 people), and well appointed, beds were comfortable (including the pillows), the rooftop pool area was cosy, there is a tennis court and happy hour was a nice touch. We would absolutely stay at the Montrose again.

Quieter part of LA

Noise travelled within the hotel - you could hear when your neighbour opened the toilet door and walking above you. I live in a house normally and hearing this ‘noise’ was not good for me

Location is within a quiet residential neighbourhood and short drive to shops / Sunset Boulevard. Room size is decent, imagine studio with partition to the living room, and big enough for us to open our 3 big luggages. Bathroom is spacious and clean. Also there’s a mini kitchen with microwave, stove and oven which is super helpful when travelling with little ones. Bed size is decent too that fit 3 of us (2 adults and one 2 yo). Sofa is big and long enough for adult to sleep in. Staff is helpful and although there’s no water fountain, they provide us with bottled waters daily and whenever we need. A decent rooftop with heated pool and proper tennis court

Parking is valet only - $65 / night, where the garage is exactly under the hotel.

y stay at the Montrose was truly exceptional, especially as I chose it as the setting for my marriage proposal. I brought a significant amount of personal items – teddy bears, flower petals, wine bottles, and most importantly, the engagement ring – and the staff handled everything with incredible care and attention to detail. They didn't just place things in the room; they meticulously staged it, transforming it into a magical and romantic atmosphere. The staff was amazing; they went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. When my girlfriend and I arrived, the room was breathtaking, exceeding all my expectations. The flawless execution of my vision made the proposal a resounding success and created a memory that will last a lifetime. The attention to detail was incredible, ensuring every petal and teddy bear was in place. In short, my stay at the Montrose was far beyond simply satisfactory; it was a crucial part of one of the most important moments of my life. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I am profoundly grateful for the staff's dedication and exceptional service.

It’s fun. Nothing bland about this place. The staff are all lovely.

We booked the larger suite to have full kitchen access, the kitchen is there, but it has nothing, not a thing in it. No plates, no cutlery, no dishwashing liquids, no pots or salad bowls. You can request them. But we would just prefer to have supplies there. We did get plates bowls and cutlery for four. But that’s it . You have to ask for everything as you go, need more toilet paper? Go ask reception. Etc. Staff are wonderful and it’s never an issue, but it’s not what we are used to doing. The weather has terrible and it rained and rained, but the roof top looks amazing and in better weather can imagine it would be a wonderful spot to relax

Amazing stay. Everything was great from the moment we arrived (Austin at check in desk super helpful and gave my boyfriend some tips on his restaurant list and recommendations to add!) valet was timely and great service, loved how easy it was and 24 hours! Neighbourhood safe and close to everything we needed by car. The hotel also offers free coffee in the morning, great to take with you on your city adventures - and a wine hour 5-6pm in the evening. Pool and tennis court on the roof were great with great views! So clean and maid service was on request so you weren’t disturbed unnecessarily - me and partner both so impressed, would definitely book again.

Loved our room. Split level made the living room feel separate from the bedroom area. Good lighting in the room. Great view. Lovely facilities. Decent food.

One of the front desk girls had a sour attitude the rest of my stay after I called down to tell her the fireplace wouldn’t light, tv had no signal, and lamp wasn’t lighting. Upon checkout she didn’t even print a receipt when I handed her $300 cash to pay for my meals. So I don’t appreciate her unprofessionalism. She really shouldn’t be in the hospitality business.

Location, room, service were great staff always helpful. Hotel ambience was wonderful. Refund and credit given to us for left over food in microwave was appreciated.

Room rates had been dropped prior to our arrival but no adjustment made for our earlier bookings even though booking site referenced best rates going. Was advised that when we booked several months before there was high demand but it's odd that for a period prior to our arrival, as advised by friends, the rates were much lower and were lower on the website while we were there. So the demand had evaporated some time earlier - or never existed. Was advised that if we had booked direct lower rates would have been extended.

Nice big rooms, i hosted the bridal party and my daughter for her wedding day. We all got ready and plenty of room

The skillets in the kitchen were garbage. Goodwill has better- i was charged for the coffee table book that i did not keep. I was charged for the shampoo body wash conditioner $35 each bottle. I stayed 8 nights- when i called to discuss with management i was going up on multiple times. “Tim” manager? Never called me or emailed me as i was promised. Very rude treatment
