We had a fantastic stay at the Montrose West Hollywood! The location couldn’t be better, super safe, close to amazing bars, restaurants, and everything WeHo has to offer. It was also really easy to get around from there using public transport. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and a special shoutout goes to Victor, who truly went above and beyond. He gave us so many great tips on where to go and made sure we stayed hydrated after a big night out, now that’s service! 😂 Would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a fun, comfortable, and well-located spot in LA

Great quiet location, tucked away in a residential area, but with easy access to everything we wanted to visit in LA. The room was super spacious and clean. Rooftop pool is lovely, with a great view of LA. We needed accommodation last minute due to other arrangements falling through and found this to be very good value for the price we paid.

Valet parking $65 per night, which was very steep even for the area. Adds up when staying for 4 nights. We drove around and found a few self parking options within a 5-10 minute walk for $40 per night. Rooms were a little dated in their decor and finishes, but have been well maintained given their age and the high traffic of a hotel.

The room was spacious and well laid out. The view from my room was nice, but obstructed by power line wires (not truly the hotel's fault I guess). However the best part of the stay were the hotel staff. I can't tell you how wonderful and accommodating the staff were. Everyone from the valet, check-in staff, housekeeping and restaurant!!!

The bathroom could use more hooks for the bath towels (larger ones) and the room could use more drawers. To make this a nice high-end hotel, they need to update the restaurant and add a nice eating place. Great for breakfast, but not evening fine dining ambience. Finally the pool needed more parasols and could be larger for the size of the hotel. There weren't enough lounge chairs with parasols for more than 15-20 guests and being on the roof was very sunny and hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was a great location to explore LA. Easy to drive to anywhere and can walk around safely in the evening. The staff was friendly and helpful, they even suggested us placed to go for brunch and dinner. The room is spacious as well as the bathroom with all amenities. We particularly liked the rooftop bar which was great to hang out for a drink in the evening. We didn't make use of the pool but it also looked great. The valet service was very convenient and we made a lot of use of it.

The price of the valet parking was quite expensive at 65 dollars per day. There's no overnight parking around so you are forced to use it if you are travelling by car. Also I would have liked to have more wardrobe space and more lighting in the room.

Location was amazing, such a nice area. The view from the room was fantastic. Room was spacious and good value for location and setting. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful.

We booked a room for 4 but the sofa bed was not made up on arrival which was a little annoying after an overnight flight with young kids. We were told we had to request this (no apology from front desk) which is odd considering the booking was for 4! The sofa bed was not comfortable and there is not enough space when opened fully, really too much furniture in the room. The pricing on the minibar items was outrageous ($8 for a small cookie!). Free Wifi only available for one device which is unnecessarily stingy. The hotel is very nice but all these little things added up to really irritate us during our stay and could so easily be fixed.

We absolutely loved our time at Montrose. We travelled from Sydney Australia and were looking for a hotel that was central to everything yet quiet and discreet and we found that in the Montrose. A 5 min walk to Santa Monica blvd, less than 5 min drive to Sunset Strip and 5 mins drive to Beverley Hills. The staff were so incredibly helpful throughout our staff from the valet staff to the Reception and Andrew at the restaurant. They took the time to guide us on local places to visit and eat at which were sooo much better and more authentic West Hollywood than we would have ever thought to go to. The rooms were spacious (there were 4 people), and well appointed, beds were comfortable (including the pillows), the rooftop pool area was cosy, there is a tennis court and happy hour was a nice touch. We would absolutely stay at the Montrose again.

Nothing it was great!

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. My room was large, very clean, and well-maintained throughout my stay. The location couldn’t be better — it’s within walking distance of many top attractions, bars, cafes, and local hotspots. Whether you’re here for sightseeing or business, this place is a perfect choice. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I didn’t like the fact they charge extra deposit for every night! Usually hotels ask for one night deposit that should be refunded after the check out.

Quieter part of LA

Noise travelled within the hotel - you could hear when your neighbour opened the toilet door and walking above you. I live in a house normally and hearing this ‘noise’ was not good for me

Rooms( suites) were very comfortable and roomy. The reception and all other staff were friendly and professional. And the location was excellent for West Hollywood amenities.

The vino and vinyl could be greatly improved with just a few snacks offered as well. And the actual room that it is held in, seems very stark and uninviting.

Location is within a quiet residential neighbourhood and short drive to shops / Sunset Boulevard. Room size is decent, imagine studio with partition to the living room, and big enough for us to open our 3 big luggages. Bathroom is spacious and clean. Also there’s a mini kitchen with microwave, stove and oven which is super helpful when travelling with little ones. Bed size is decent too that fit 3 of us (2 adults and one 2 yo). Sofa is big and long enough for adult to sleep in. Staff is helpful and although there’s no water fountain, they provide us with bottled waters daily and whenever we need. A decent rooftop with heated pool and proper tennis court

Parking is valet only - $65 / night, where the garage is exactly under the hotel.
