Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.
The room above us had a party with loud music until 5 am. We weren’t able to get any sleep.

I like the location it felt very safe
There was an abnormal amount of mosquitoes in my suite. I killed several but the mosquitoes tore me up.

Way nicer than I expected from the cost. Staff was really helpful, room was very pleasant, quiet, clean, location felt very nice and safe, if out of the way. The complex was quite lovely too. There's free breakfast, though I didn't have time in the morning to go down and get some.
Not really any significant complaints! If there's anything it would just be that the room was a little bit warmer than my preference. (There might've even been a way to adjust that that I missed...) Also the key cards are really easy to demagnetize on accident, and a bit finicky to swipe, so keep that in mind. The bathroom doors are a bit of a weird style and it can be hard to close them the first time you get into the room — pulling at the top of the doorframe works better than using the little latch thing, though do be careful of your fingers. If those are my only complaints though, I'd say that reflects really well on this place for the price. I was very satisfied and would stay here again in a heartbeat if I had the occasion to.

The property is located away from the freeway and far enough off of a main road that it is fairly quiet. There is ample courtyard parking. The hotel restaurant is convenient and there are others nearby within walking distance. Lions Gate is part of the old McClellan airbase. It's a convenient place to stay if you fly into the base, which is open to GA aircraft. And, if you are an airplane geek, there is an aircraft museum close by.
The hotel restaurant has a limited menu of mostly bar type food. For some reason, there were only 3 pillows for a queen bed. Which led to a serious bought of Rochambeau to determine who got the extra pillow.

I read the reviews, so I was a bit concerned with the safety issues, even our Uber driver told us it was a popular prostitution hang out, but I tell you what, I thought it was fantastic. Clean updated room, very comfy bed and pillows, great air conditioning, lots of privacy, a little kitchenette area. Nice looking grounds and pool area. I didn’t see one single loiterer on the premise. The front desk lady Asianique was so helpful both on the phone and in person.
There was a long black hair on a washcloth, and I can understand that happens. Just asked the nice maid for another one no problem

The room had a decent kitchen with a small fridge, microwave, sink, cupboards, and a bistro sized table with 2 chairs. There was a desk and chair. Above the desk was a USB and HDMI plug in, so I assume I could have hooked the laptop to the TV, but I was too busy to try. The bathroom had a large shower, as well as storage under the sink and counter area. There was more storage in the sleeping area, as well as a full sized mirror, beds that made me wish I had time to sleep in and beautiful light fixtures. But one of the big reasons I chose to stay at this place again, is because of the buffet breakfast that's included. And there are other foods you can buy, by the looks of it. And when we got back to the room after breakfast, it had been cleaned. There are other things I didn't participate in, but I will be back everytime I need to stay in Sacramento.
I can't really think of anything I didn't like. When I let them know something needed fixed, they offered to come and fix it immediately. It wasn't something I needed, so I asked them to wait and they did. Oh, it could have used more water pressure in the shower. But it's like that, everywhere I go in Sacramento.

THE ROOM WAS UP DATE ONCE WE GOT THERE. BECAUSE ONCE AGAIN I WAS GOING TO GIVE BOOKING .COM 1 LAST TRY. LAST TIME I USED THEM IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. SO LIONS GATE GAVE ME A ROOM THAT WAS WAY BEYOND WHAT I COULD EVER IMAGINE. BUT BOOKING RIPPED US OFF FOR OUR MILITARY DISCOUNTS. MY HUSBAND IS A DISABLED VETERAN. I WAS VERY ANGRY ABOUT THAT.
I DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY I DISLIKE ABOUT THE LIONS GATE. BUT BOOKING.COM YES I DO. MY HUSBAND IS A DISABLED VETERAN IN A WHEELCHAIR. LIONS GATE SAID WE SHOULD HAVE GOT A 35% DISCOUNT FOR A MILITARY PERSON. BOOKING DIDN'T GIVE US ONE. ALSO WE WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE CHARGED TILL THE DAY OF SERVICE. BUT NO WE WERE CHARGED THE DAY I SPOKE TO BOOKING .COM.THIS IS MY 2ND TIME AND LAST STUPID TIME I WILL EVER USE THEM. .THEY SCREW US UP THE FIRST TIME.THANKFULLY THIS TIME THE SCREW WASN'T AS BAD. I HOPE WE CAN STILL GET OUR DISCOUNT.

This is my one of my favorite go-tos! It's an Air Force base. Rooms are cool. Staff is friendly & helpful no matter the time. Check in & check out seamless. Usually I get the 2 bed 2 bath room. Beds and pillows are comfy. Plenty of space, no crowding needed😀. Breakfast is delicious. They serve REAL food, not that grab & go mess. Ijs! There's a pool, just what the dr ordered on these sweltering days. Also, no need to risk a DUI. There's a decent bar on property. No worries about parking, there's more than enough.
I don't know how to answer this; location on hit, rooms comfy, breakfast fab, staff is wonderful.

There were 4 of us ladies on an overnight trip for a concert. I selected this hotel due to the proximity and the price, and the bonus was the breakfast was included, which was amazing! The grounds are nice and well kept, the room was bigger than expected (only wish there was bedding for the couch bed). The only issue we had was with the two clerks working the desk - seemed in a bad mood, not great customer service. We would recommend this location and return however due to the other great qualities! I hope we get to use the beautiful pool when we return.
Please see above - the night clerks were not very friendly.
