Loved the two pools side by side! Swim outside and when chilly easy access to indoor pool! Service was excellent, pleasant and accommodating. Arrived 3 hrs early and were ready to use facilities but a room was ready, which was great. With a water view instead of garden. Overlooked parking lot, and marina. King room with real fireplace, will go back in colder weather. Ate at the Choo Choo bar late afternoon, excellent. Went to area restaurants for other meals,

Unable to book a massage during our 4 day/3 night stay. Seems booked out to locals who use facility and marina users as well as guests. So if you want one need to book before arrival.

The hotel and marina is just beautiful. This is the first time we stayed at a hotel with our dog where we did not have a doggie room, different than other hotel rooms. The room was great, large and comfortable. The breakfast although not included was delicious and our waitress was really nice and knowledgable. My friend actually met someone at breakfast that grew up in the same town as him in England! Really nice stay.

We wanted to eat lunch outside at the restaurant but all the tables were taken and being serviced We decided to eat at the Marina but we had to order the food and drinks from the bar and deliver them ourselves to our table. We wish they had serviced these tables.

Deluxe Quadruple Suite on 2nd floor. Beautiful location on Long Island Sound. Very clean rooms ( our second visit there) & super comfortable bed and upholstered furnishings. Fresh Salt resto-delicious food, good selections of wines & beverages . Staff was very pleasant & competent.

Since our last visit, I need to use a cane for ambulation-I discovered this hotel is not ADA Compliant. I did not recall that the hotel does not have automatic opening doors-sometimes there was someone available to open & hold the doors . Guests coming & going were, of course, helpful & volunteered to open & hold the doors which are extremely heavy! When I inquired as to why no automatic doors, I was told it was for esthetics When I asked whether there was another entry for disibility access-I was told there was not..... There is an elevator ...

This was a really nice resort. We stayed for two nights and made full use of many of the amenities. Right from check-in, all of the employees at the resort kind, polite, and informative. There is a real sense that they want you to have a nice time and feel comfortable to ask for anything that you might need. We stayed in a double queen room that overlooked the beautiful courtyard. It had two beds, as well as a seating area and fireplace. The bathroom was spacious. We also had a small coffee bar, refrigerator, desk/vanity, and plenty of storage space for clothes and other things. We went to fresh salt on a Thursday night. It was absolutely delicious. Again, the service was wonderful. Michelle took care of us and she was such a delight. After dinner, we went to the Choo Choo Bar for some cocktails. It is a wonderful lounge type bar that offers a variety of beer, wine, and specialty cocktails. Our drinks were delicious and refreshing. The next morning, we walked to the James Pharmacy for a French breakfast. It really is such a cute spot, and worth the walk! Tasty! When we returned to the hotel, we both had spa appointments. Pamela was my spa service provider and she was again, so kind and lovely. Even check in and check out at the spa with such a breeze. The spa is pretty. I really make as much use of all of those amenities as others, but there was a little tea room and plenty of seating areas for rest and relaxation. After the spa, we walked to the town of Old Saybrook. It's A great Connecticut coastal town for walking around and seeing the sites. We enjoyed many local shops, lunches at the Thimble Brewing Company, and got a good sense of the community. There is a little pottery shop that is just too cute, and we loved Maximus, which is a collection of vendor stalls filled with modern, vintage, and antique wares. For dinner, Jack and Braden coordinated the shuttle for us right from the hotel to go to Aspen.. Thanks for a fabulous stay!

Fantastic location with gorgeous views. Our room was huge and traditionally decorated- beautiful! The staff was extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations, loaner bikes, shuttle around town etc. More amenities included than expected. Hotel restaurant was good and perfect for indoor or outdoor dining. Loved it and plan to return.

The only negative was that it had a wedding that took over all the outdoor space. There was no where for guests to sit outside and enjoy the view during the entire event. Disappointing when you are paying $400/night.

Property was right on the water, in a lovely neighborhood. We receivable upgrade because Booking app said our room had a spa tub and it did not. Additionally, they were doing some sort of work and they had to deliver something through our original room’s window. Manager upgraded us to a great room with the spa tub!

Only thing was that they were doing construction which I’m sure couldn’t be avoided, but it would’ve been nice if it wasn’t on the dates we stayed.

I loved the fireplace with the log, the morning coffee in the lobby, and the apple cider in the evening. The staff were very nice and helpful. And the restaurant Fresh salt was amazingly delicious.

I didn't like the signature scent in the room (shampoo, conditioner, soap, even in the spa they didn't have any good scents either.

EVERYTHING! This is by far our favorite Hotel between Boston and New Haven. The Service, the decor, the "warmth" of the rooms, the size of the rooms. Everything! We've stayed here at least once during each Season of the year and have not one complaint.

There is nothing we dislike about this Hotel. It is pricey but we're willing to pay it because we truly love staying here.

The room was large, clean & the bed/lines were so comfy.

We went to the spa for a special occasion and had manicures/pedicures and massages. The manicures & pedicures chipped the next day on both our hands and feet. I called the spa on Monday to let them know and they apologized and said they would send us a gift card to use on our next trip. Unfortunately they sent us $20 each for a gift card. The manicures & pedicures are expensive and cost a lot more than $20 each. I spoke to the spa assistant manager and I should have called back and asked for a refund. We could go to our local salon and get better manicures & pedicures for a lot less money. I would return for other services, but skip the manicure/pedicure.

Pool is great and so is jacuzzi and sauna. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Restaurant food was great. Everything was clean. They helped with anything we asked. View is awsome. Location is great, right on the ocean. Bed is comfortable. Bedroom is big and spacious and so is the bathroom. Lots of decorative stuff for Christmas. Everything was clean.

Outside pool was closed and it was not mentioned on the website before our arrival. Enclosed pool area didn't have pool service, even though it was mentioned on the website it should have. Restaurant service was a bit slow so take that in mind if you are in a hurry.
