Staff were great. Property was very clean and well taken care of. Pools were heated. Rooms were very nice. I would recommend staying but see my other comments.

You have to pay for parking. They leaf blow the water park every day from 8:15am-9am. It’s very loud. Limited seating in the water park. People line up when it opens, they go in and save lots of chairs then go back to their room. Lazy River is great but shut off the 3-4 sprinklers that soak you. 90% of the people try to avoid them. Or just turn on half the sprinkler so you can decide if you want to get soaked. Avalon Road is the only way in or out. It gets packed with traffic.

The rooms were great, along with the pools. Very clean. The resort is close to Disney and shopping.

The Grove MUST upgrade their communication with rooms to main desk, housekeeping, etc. I needed to reach the front desk but was put on hold for over 20 minutes. I finally walked down and was told I had to dial "Operator", not housekeeping. The next time I tried to call for another garbage bag and towels, since they only gave us 1 shower towel per room, and only 1 garbage bag for 5 nights in a 3 bedroom. We had 2 different phones calling, and after 30 minutes we gave up. This was extremely frustrating, and told them I would just leave the trash on the floor. (But I can't really live like that). I finally reached someone and did get the garbage bags.

We are 47 year olds with kids 12 and 16 and stayed 8 nights. It was a bit farther from theme parks (especially universal) than we liked. We spent between 30 minutes to 1.5 hrs (albeit due to traffic) on Florida bus each day, twice a day, on our theme park days. The resort itself was dated inside, especially the hallways to rooms with old carpet and layers of cracking paint. But the grounds, the lobby and our room were really nice and we loved the space it gave our family of four with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, balcony, kitchen and laundry! Loved the pools, hot tub, Surfari Water park with lazy river, restaurants and bars, and the Austin Pier fishing where my son won a tournament for largest fish that day and received a free surfing lesson (Flowrider surf simulator) as a prize which he loved! Many features to keep us busy when not at Disney or Universal. Be prepared to spend a lot of money!! To eat, drink, and play at the Grove (we splurged and did everything available to us including gift shop purchases) we spent roughly $5000. This doesn't include expenses off resort like theme parks, door dash, Uber, Lyft...etc. I was surprised that no dish clothes were supplied for use in the kitchen and how strict the resort is about towels... You get just the amount you need and you must carry to and from pools and Surfari Park and if you loose any, you pay. We lost one despite our best efforts and I'm not sure yet what the charge will be. Also there's a party like atmosphere in the late evenings especially Friday-Saturday nights with the outdoor alcohol and vacationing crowd. Expected I suppose. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to those who want that kind of experience for days away from theme parks.

Having to pay to park and no room service

We loved its proximity to Disney! We decided not to rent a car so it was about a 12 dollar Uber ride. Additionally our kids loved the pools and water park.

At first we were in a very dated room in the tower 1 which is the oldest tower. We didn’t do anything about it the fist night because we arrived after midnight. The next day I went down and spoke with the manager and noted how dated the room was and he was kind enough to move us to a new room and gave us a three bedroom although we only needed two. The manager told us that in future we could just request tower 2 which I would suggest!

Room was really nice and comfortable.

The only thing we didn't like was that the hallway smelled like wet dog. I believe its a pet friendly hotel so that might be it. The room itself was really nice though. The pillows and sheets for the pull out bed were not in the room. Had to call guest services to bring some. And the soap in the bathrooms ran out after the first shower. They should be topped off prior to guests arriving. Other than that it was great. No biggie since guest services was able to fix all the issues but when you are on vacation, you dont really want to interact with guest services.

The marketplace store is convenient and has plenty of food to choose from...however, it is horribly overpriced! The rooms are very spacious, so that was a plus!

Checking in was quite a letdown with the unfriendly staff that was working the front desk. They never said "hi" or "welcome" or even smiled! When we needed help or had questions and called from our room, it took 30-40 mins for someone to answer! The room reaked of dog pee as well. Clearly, people let their dogs onto the furniture and I don't think the cleaning staff has ever cleaned the furniture.

I read reviews about the property and I was skeptical at first because some were not so great. However my family and I stayed at the Terraces which was the new location of the resort. We utilized the amenities: water park and arcade. No issues. The food on property is a bit expensive but literally you can go off resort for the same food with cheaper prices. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

The place is amazing the kids enjoyed everything. Although we did have a problem that me, or my wife weren’t pleased with at the water park. I don’t like discrimination at all! It really rubbed me the wrong way that a child the same height as ours, but a different skin tone was allowed to go down the slide & our baby wasn’t.

I always come here even though it is expensive, it’s clean and very relaxing. It’s a vibe.

I didn’t have hot water during my stay, they sent someone to fix it and they didn’t fix it properly. I extended a night and they made me do a whole new reservation whereas I had to pay all taxes and fees as if I had not already been on the property two days prior. I didn’t think that was very courteous.
