Loved staying at this historic hotel, filled with antique furnishings and memorabilia from years gone by. The accommodations were comfortable, and the made to order breakfast was delicious! The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Lyla, who served us in the dining room. The hotel was located right in the center of Winter Garden along the multi use trail, which we biked, with shops, restaurants, bars, and parks. Lake Apopka was nearby where we saw many birds, fish, and a large gator!

The location is great, the place is very well kept and the staff was helpful and kind. I think the breakfast was not up to par. It was bland and uninteresting. They have a beautiful restaurant downstairs that could supply some decent food. On the other hand, the dining area was beautiful and equipped with the needed appliances to make coffee, tea, etc. I would get rid of the junk snacks and keep some hoise made cookies and a couple of nice savory snacks.

The breakfast was excellent, the staff so nice and friendly, and the location of the hotel is perfect in Winter Garden. The hotel is in a 100 year building and totally original from 1927, so quaint and old style that you would think you were in an old hotel in one of the great old cities of Europe (that is ment as a compliment..). Winter Garden itself was one of the nicest places we have seen in USA.

WOW! What an Amazing place to spend a weekend! Unbelievable character from the 1926 hand cranked elevator to the absolutely beautiful spaces! The woodwork, furniture, window dressings and fixtures period correct, and simply beautiful! Comfortable and immaculately clean. The Breakfast room is amazing! Having breakfast with other Guests staying at hotel, charming,met some great people! Breakfast perfect. This is a Don't miss -Must for a night or two-take you back nearly 100 years experience!

Nothing-just fantastic stay!

What I loved most about Edgewater Hotel is the overall homeliness of the place. I walked through the doors and felt as if I went back in time. Personally I love history and vintage things so this was the perfect place for me. The hospitality of the workers was fantastic. Even though we arrived at 2am, the woman that checked us in immediately came down with a smile on her face. The location couldn’t be better because the quaint town it’s located in is on par with some the most beautiful towns I’ve seen. You feel as if you’re included in everything.

Not much to dislike about this place. It is an old establishment so expect old amenities such as an elevator that requires an employee to operate it, an iron key to unlock your room door, and a shower that takes some diligence to keep at a good temperature. All these things just highlight the Edgewater’s historic significance.

We loved the overall feel of this lovely historic hotel. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you feel like you've returned to 1926. However, don't be turned off by its age as the hotelier has made sure to keep the hotel clean and up to date with the necessities. Every level and space in the hotel provides a view into the era's history. In addition to the feel of the hotel, the breakfast provided each morning was terrific. The location in downtown Winter Garden could not be better. We were steps away from the Tasting Room restaurant and the Saturday morning farmers market and 3 coffee shops :) Provided you're not looking for a modern or contemporary hotel, you will not be disappointed with The Edgewater Hotel.

I loved everything!  The staff was exceptional. Lila was very sweet and nice and took our breakfast order which was amazing. Everything about this hotel is beyond exceptional.  they truly make you feel special and include the little things, warmth, cleanliness, and even cater to your small cravings. I see the staff constantly cleaning the halls, have this beautiful aroma, and they have a little dishes of candy all over the place again making you feel extra special, I recommend this hotel as a 10+ plus!

I would have liked a small fridge in the room

The location was central to all Winter Garden activities and delicious foods. The breakfast was consistently good each day. The staff was amazing.

Minor things could use some lighting ( like over kitchen sink) over bathroom sink, and outlet for hair dryer in Bathroom. Towel basket on floor so table could be used for personal hygiene products. Being that’s a Historic Hotel, minor.

Breakfast was amazing. Pancakes and bacon were my favorite. We could literally order anything we wanted and they would prepare it. I also had wonderful, fluffy waffles one morning. The location is great! You are right on main street and we never had to get back in our car for the whole weekend. We walked everywhere.

Staff was very nice, but very sparse. Sometimes we waited as long as 15 minutes for someone to appear at the front desk.
