Location is great and close to the mall and beach. Beds are very comfortable.

There was a coffee maker, coffee and tea bags but no cups. It would be nice to directly include a few cups or mugs in the room rather than having to call housekeeping for them.

Great location. Easy walk to beach and Ala Moana Shopping Center which has dozens if not a hundred restaurants in it too.

This area (we have stayed at others before has 6:30 AM garbage pickup every day, not a fun alarm clock 😢

We really enjoyed our stay. Lovely welcome. We absolutely loved our room. Great ocean view with balcony in the Waikiki Tower. Its worth the little extra. Good lobby with excellent staff to help you with anything. Location next to mall and restaurants. Speak Easy Bar and Restaurant on site. Quick response to any housekeeping or reception calls. Get an early check in and late check out which also helps if you need to. The hotel were able to accommodate.

Needed to ask for restocking of sugar, creamers a few times. Air con unit leaked a few times as well. Only very minor things and once we called it was attended too. Would still definitely recommend.

I checked into the hotel for one night, at the end of a two week vacation to the Big Island and Japan, thinking I could be able to see the New Year's fireworks, if not from my room (which had a viewed blocked by other high rises), but there was not access to the top of the hotel to view the fireworks. Then only to find the fireworks no longer displayed at Magic Island. Things have changed much for this past son of Hawaii.

Staff were very helpful and accommodating. I enjoyed the comfortable seating in the lobby and the Starbucks there.

The Hotel amenities and location are wonderful and convenient, the Lobby is beautifully renovated and welcoming. The staff are all nice and friendly. You are just a ramp away from one of the worlds largest open air Shopping Mall!! If you decide to dine in the hotel's Signature Steak house on the top (36th) floor, the views are amazing and go for the Happy hour as prices are 50 % off. Nice list of yummy appetizers and drinks...the best deal as you will tell from the crowds.

A small comment that the partial ocean view room we had was mostly facing the mall parking lot and other bldgs. You had to lean around the corner of balcony to get a view of ocean. Could be a better room. (Room 1603 - Waikiki Tower). Choose 2313 if you can or other rms above the pool side.

The amenities were great, the direct access to Ala Moana Centre was so convenient, the gym and pool was good. The only thing was, our toilet flooded and although the maintenance guy was very prompt and friendly, the cleaner who followed after, only picked up the towels used, but didn’t mop or use any products to clean the floors or under the sink bench… he just used a new towel to dry what was left 🫣 Other than that little detail, the check in staff were lovely, the convenience store and Starbucks in the foyer was a huge plus for us, not to mention the bus stop/trolley pick ups were right outside the doors (Kona building). The valets were great and friendly, cabs were called and arrived within 5 mins. Great Uber/car pick up and drop off areas. Also, really appreciated the tour/activity help desk that was always happy to help us on days we weren’t sure on what to do next. She was amazing. The location was 8/10. Just outside of the busy town area, but still within walking distance, 2 min walk over to Ala Moana Centre that had great food courts and shopping stores, the beach within a 6-8 min walk and food trucks right across the road with great pizzas, tacos, seafood and açai bowls! Wish I took photos, but only took videos.

ala moana hotel felt like a luxury experience without the luxury price tag. everything was very clean which contributed to the luxe feeling. bathroom was very nice with a large marble sink and generous counter space. beds were extremely comfortable. having a starbucks in the lobby was amazing and the pool was beautiful. the ala moana centre (mall) next door was very useful. parking onsite was much cheaper than it would have been in waikiki - having a car makes things more comfortable but that said the hotel is only a 30min walk from waikiki night life

bedroom area was a little small/cluttered with furniture, but not a deal breaker!
