Location was great. We flew last minute from Honolulu to Kona for the last few days of our vacation. The rooms are updated but you can tell its an older building. The grounds are lovely. We didn't use the pool but the area looked nice. Beds were SUPER comfy, I had no back pain.

The rooms are very damp, I get its Hawaii but it smelled musty. The water in the shower never got hotter than lukewarm and yes there were roaches NOT bed bugs, I used AI to confirm but it just made me uneasy to even open my suitcases. I get its an open air type hotel but they should consider spraying for them.

Check-in is possible 24H and staff was very kind This hotel is well located in kona and parking available with fees There is water available in the lobby Prices are expensives but I think Hawaii is basically expensive

Prices are expensives but I think Hawaii is basically expensive Parking is not free, you have to pay fees despite the high prices you already pay for the room

Liked that it was close to everything. Great restaurants nearby. It was clean.

I had a long walk to the back building to get to my room. My room had a balcony that was 2 rooms from a short fence and the main road in the back of the property. Did not feel safe. Ask for the section closest to the main desk. There were 2 people working at check-in. One man was checking in a couple. The 2nd worker, a women, was just talking about nothing to the wife of the man checking in. Never said hi or checked me in for at least 20 minutes. I thought it was rude and unprofessional.

PACIFIC 19 Kona has a beautifully designed lobby with a modern, welcoming vibe. The staff are incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help – their friendliness really made a difference. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of great restaurants, shops, and the waterfront. It's also convenient that the hotel offers bike and towel rentals. The rooms, while not new, are very clean, spacious, and the beds are really comfortable – perfect for relaxing after a busy day.

Although the hotel offers amenities like bike and towel rentals, there is a mandatory amenities fee that must be paid upfront, even if you don’t use these extras. In my opinion, this fee should be included in the room price, as it feels like a hidden charge. Also, the rooms show some signs of age and could use a bit of updating. Another small disappointment – although the hotel mentions partner restaurants, there are no actual discounts offered there, contrary to what the information suggests.

Pacific 19 is in a great location in Kona. A couple of minutes walk from the beach, and the main shopping/eating area. The pool was cool and refreshing on these long July days and it had pleasant surroundings. The rooms were a good size, with comfortable beds. The bathroom had a bath shower combo and some really nice shampoo and conditioner. Would recommend Pacific 19 to friends travelling through Kona as it was affordable even with the exchange rate to kiwi dollars!

When we checked int the staff did not acknowledge or greet us and this gave us a bad vibe about the place. When checking out, however, the staff were lovely and interested in us.

The lobby and the pool are very nice and very clean. The morning coffee was a huge benefit!!!! It was so nice to not have to make it myself in my room, or to go off site to buy it. And, it was good coffee with real milk! Our room had a nice view of the sunrise and the town. It was difficult to keep the room dark once the sun came up, as one window was without blinds in order to vent the air conditioner, which is a single unit for each room. The hallways were my least favorite part of this hotel- moldy smelling and dismal. The filtered water that was available in the main floor was very appreciated- would’ve been nice to not have to walk so far to refill. It was walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

The location isn’t great- very crowded and all sorts of vagrants outside at night. The parking lot costs extra and is TIGHT, but we managed to find a spot every time we got back.

The pool was a great feature with comfortable seating & loungers. The staff were always helpful. The laundry was easy to use and cheap. $3 per wash. The sea was less than 5 mins walk away with lots of great places to eat and ABC store too for snacks, light lunch options. Great for hungry kids. The complementary coffee in the mornings was a nice touch and the pool towels. We loved the spacious reception area for sitting too.

The aircon in the room was very loud. The pool could have been cleaner, there were lumps of black hair we had to fish out.

There is a small food-truck type coffee cart with outdoor seating. The coffee was good and there are breakfast food options (think egg sandwiches), but they could use some fresh pastries, like scones and muffins. The bed was comfortable, the view was a happy surprise, and it was great to come back to an air-conditioned, cool room after walking down the main road for meals. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly.

Arriving at the hotel the first time was a little confusing. The lobby location is not obvious (it's on a side of the building not facing the driveway and was partially hidden by the yellow "coffee" building. We didn't see any signage indicating where it was, so we and our Uber driver ended up leaving and returning to try again. Fortunately, the second time, we saw some folks with luggage exiting the building and assumed that was where the lobby is. They need better signage.

Not on the water but a good location for restaurants. Easy walk to main beach areas, craft breweries, and grocery store.

Could use a coffeemaker in the room, coffee was available later in the lobby.
