I loved the design of this property. Everything felt well thought out and maintained well. Everything felt new. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. The live music everyday was a treat. The restaurant was fun and had a great view. The value for the money of this hotel was outstanding.

My only complaint is that our ocean view room didn’t have an actual ocean view. You couldn’t see it from the window. You had to go out to the porch and then crane your neck to the side to see it. That was a slight bummer.

We had a nice ocean view. The corn hole, daily morning yoga, and free bikes were amazing amenities. Lots of thoughtful little touches like the driftwood swing on the beach and the Aloha sign for pictures. A beachfront restaurant with your toes in the sand is hard to beat. The room also had nice small touches like local Kauia coffee, plenty of charging spots and bedside reading lights. The landscaping was great and the overall hotel and room design was solid. The pools were great and the hot tub temperature was actually hot. Great lounger chairs and umbrellas.

The hotel restaurant food was hecka pricy. Like, a small tuna appetizer was $28. Virgin pina coladas were $11. The beach wasn't ideal for swimming. Rocks and got deep fast. The deck needed a table. The coffee creamer was powder, ew. And for a nature-focused location, the amount of single use plastics in the room (specifically with the plastic film wrapped single use plastic cups) was a bummer.

Property nicely located with direct beach access, walk to shopping center next door and eating - less than 5 minute walk to most places. Grocery store maybe 7 minute walk. Had 2 pools and a hot tub. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. No elevators but it's only 2 floors so not really an issue. Needed car only to see other parts of Kauai. Very clean and spacious rooms. Reasonable room price for Kauai.

Being rainy season had to move tables sometimes when eating at restaurant on property. Our room was oceanview but the ocean wasn't close. You could see the ocean but not hear it.

A zen experience with family flair! What a beautiful sprawling property on the coconut coast of Kauai. Everything from the pre-check in to the post check-out was personal and hospitable through and through. The Aloha spirit was truly felt here. The rooms -spacious, comfortable! The amenities- reminiscent of home! The food- absolutely divine. I can’t recommend this place enough! Novella and Kala, thank you for making us feel welcome and always being so cheerful! All those little finds and those recommendations from Novella were the best! Housekeeping was thorough! The water filter and the laundry facilities at the Lei building was absolutely convenient. A shout out to the ever so friendly valet personnel!

There’s nothing to unlike!

We didn’t eat breakfast at the restaurant. Since we had a kitchenette we ate in our room. We did get malasadas from the bakery down the street. We ate dinner at the Lava Lava Beach Restaurant several times. My granddaughter has a restricted diet and the manager, Robert was very kind and checked in with the kitchen to make sure she was taken care of. It was very convenient to have such a good restaurant on the property.

The parking was not convenient since the machinery took up a lot of spaces. We were in the front building so even the valet was not convenient. That will clear up once the remodeling is completed. We did witness people parking there and went to shop. All in all that will clear up once remodeling is completed.

Location and value were great. Beachcomber bicycles available for use. Adjacent restaurant Lava Lava Beach Club was top notch with great food and atmosphere, and it was right on the beach. Staff was friendly. Parking available. Not too crowded.

The hotel was not full and we were disappointed we were not offered a room that looked out onto the pool area. Instead, we looked into a wall and adjacent pathway. The room had no outside patio and many of the other rooms did. I should have gone back to see if we could have been relocated. Next time, I will request a pool view and small patio to sit outside. Even if it would have cost a bit more, it would have been worth it. I did not see this option when I booked the room.

The location was perfect! Right on the beach, next to a 12 mile bike trail, and 15-45 minutes to different towns and activities. They had live music every day and night which was awesome! Bikes to use for free. Right next to a market and restaurants. The room was nice and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice size. Lots of storage for a basic room!Perfect!

A minor inconvenience that the restaurant closed between lunch and dinner... but not really a huge deal. The only con I can think of!

Gorgeous location right on the beach, with its own cafe/bar where you can have breakfast, lunch, dinner and happy our right next to the beach. If you want, there’s also whole shopping center 2 min walk from the hotel with different shops and food places as well as grocery/liquor/clothes/souvenir convenience store. Amenities are great, even though we never used a pool or a hot tub, it’s available if you want. Lawn games are a lot of fun. Morning complimentary yoga was really great! You are provided with a reusable water bottle upon arrival and can always refill it in the lobby with chilled filtered delicious water. There’s ice machine and laundry if you need, as well as microwave for your use. Beach is good and swimable), but have to watch out for the rocks on the bottom and sometimes waves are not very comfortable. But the water is crystal clear and gorgeous!! Was warm enough in March. One of my favorite things about this hotel and location is to come out of the room in the morning (about 200 feet) to the beach, lay down on one of the beach beds and observe sunrise!!! It’s magical!

This property was in a great location. I enjoyed having a beach front place to stay. The grounds were beautiful and kept up well. It was a bonus to have a restaurant on site. The food was good as well as the service. There are two pools that are small but nice. We didn’t use them because we were too busy exploring the island. On the Thursday night we were there, lawn games were brought out as well as a band. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. Very nice place to stay.

The only downside was the musty smell of the room we stayed in. We also found some bugs in the shower some mornings we were there.

The Staff - the loveliest people. From the reception staff to the cleaning team everyone I encountered was incredibly kind, friendly and service-oriented and definitely made staying there that much more enjoyable. The proximity to the beach - we visited a few beaches around the island and this was by far our favourite. The proximity to the hotel was incredibly convenient and the water (although a bit rough for the less experienced swimmers) was warm and inviting. Location - ten minute drive from the airport and 100 metres to Coconut Marketplace. In an area that's not too crowded with tourists which meant there was lots of beach front to enjoy, it was quiet all day and night and adds to the chill atmosphere.

The rooms are a bit outdated - The climate being very humid gave our room a somewhat musty smell which triggered allergies. Removing the carpet and just polishing the underlying concrete would be a vast improvement. Same for the bathtub which was quite old, with mildew building up around the tub seal and the tub itself was peeling. The wifi wasn't very reliable. Kept dropping even though they promote strong wifi throughout the grounds. Wasn't ideal, but not a dealbreaker by any means. It worked sufficiently enough for us but was a bit inconvenient as it couldn't handle my business zoom calls.
