I was skeptical about staying here based on several negative reviews I saw online but gave it a shot anyway; I am happy to report that our experience was very positive and can’t imagine how anyone could have been critical of the property or the personnel. I spoke directly to the GM when checking out and expressed my apprehension about staying there and got her side of the negative comments and her assurance that they do everything possible to resolve any issues immediately. One thing that really impressed me is the motels clearly stated policy about people trying to pass their pets off as service animals- good for them, too many people abuse motels/hotels and increase scrutiny for legitimate service animals. Beds were extremely comfortable, our room and the entire property was spotless, & the location (within walking distance of several restaurants) was perfect.

Our only complaint about the property was the noise. reared by another guest starting his truck about 4:45am and letting it run for several hours. I learned that guest was hauling sensitive plants and the low temperature necessitated heating the trailer they were being transported in. The GM told me she has instructed him, he’s a weekly guest, to park in a different location and they will provide him with an electrical hookup for the heater in the future. Breakfast wasn’t anything special, good coffee, juice, English muffins, egg rounds, cereal, and low sugar yogurt, but we managed to get enough to eat. I always suggest that breakfast include regular yogurt, jelly, etc. because I can’t eat artificial sweeteners but that’s not a deal breaker.

It was ok, wish they had a better breakfast, they need sausage, bacon, and eggs, or breakfast sandwiches. And my girlfriend wanted to take a bath, and couldn't, cause there was no stopper for the tub, so I had to buy one at Walmart, just so she could take a bath.

Multiple easy access doors, location, price. Room was cute, efficient and had everything I needed. Breakfast was a nice bonus.

Not much. Will say my room was located right by the stairs/elevator and could hear some foot traffic and also the cleaners in the morning. Not so much I wouldn’t stay again though.

It was quiet and comfortable. The shower was clean with hot water and good pressure. There were accessible plugs for charging. The staff member was welcoming. Breakfast was reasonable with cereal, oatmeal, waffles and bagels. This hotel was good value for an overnight stay.

Location was good off the highway and the staff was really friendly. Bedding was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was good. Easy parking on-site.

Could use a bit of a refresh as it is an older property. Cleaning under the beds and behind some of the furniture wod be nice... see pic attached.

Access to the property from the main thoroughfares was easy & convenient. The staff was friendly & accommodating.

Carpets need cleaning. Access to the elevator was somewhat tight which made maneuvering the luggage cart into it a bit awkward. I can see it being a challenge to mobility impaired guests. The toilet water supply leaked onto the floor. The bathroom was small with the vanity area outside the bathroom. The vanity area was not adequate. Breakfast was missing several options ( no cooked breakfast foods offered ).

I was there to hike Starved Rock. The day staff was very friendly and accommodating.The price was right.

No fruit for breakfast. I understand that during the week, it may not be busy enough, but a banana and apples would have been nice on the weekend. They are located close to a couple of stores so I went and bought my own. The pancake eggs they served were gross. No salt/pepper.

convenient, great value, clean, colorful and esthetically pleasing, has an elevator, with pleasant, helpful, courteous staff.

Breakfast was not very good. No cream cheese for bagels, very few choices, no fruit, no bread besides sweet rolls, bagels,and English muffins available, no hot items, two protein items…yogurt and milk for two cold cereals and instant oatmeal, no eggs, meat, or peanut butter.

The girl at the front desk when I checked in was so nice and welcoming! We started at Starved Rock State Park & the hotel was easy to find from there & relatively close, only 10-15 min drive. The bed was comfortable.

I didn't like the bathroom! Only the toilet and shower/tub in the bathroom with the sink/vanity in the main room (come in the door & the sink was to your right)! The bathroom was incredibly small, just a little space in front of the toilet, hardly enough room to turn around!

I liked the location. next to food, shopping and not right off road but set back just a little. decent parking lot and wide spaces. the Bi-level was nice so that I only had like 7 steps to climb and didn’t have to take elevator which I don’t like to be in. Bed was very clean and comfortable no dips or wear. not crowded but plenty of space for items and seating. Furniture not overly stained or nasty. Bathroom clean and well stocked with towels/washcloths that were also not stained.

I didn’t like the breakfast unfortunately. they did have bagels, Eggs, Sausage and cereal. No water, toast, peanut butter, Half and half. I also wasn’t liking the area next to baseboards in room that were pretty dusty. need to use nozzle to clean that part of room.
