We were in town for a whole week for my son's Navy graduation. The staff was great and accommodated our early check-in! Hampton Inn & suites in Waukegan was perfectly located for a quick drive and/or within walking distance to everything you could need from Walmart, restaurants, gas, banks, bowling alley, casino, dispensaries if that's your thing, and all the shopping you'll ever need! My room was very clean, plenty of towels and toiletries. The best part I would have to say is their breakfast, It's phenomenal!!

The only thing I didn't like was the only single chair for sitting in my room was really dirty with stains and whatever else was on it... I temporarily draped clean towels over it, mentioned it to staff and was told they would look into it. It was a very busy week for graduations so I don't know if they just didn't have an extra chair available, but it was never replaced. You can tell the Hampton Inn is kind of old, not a lot of upgrades but nonetheless, very clean, within walking distance of anything you might need during your stay, great staff, and a phenomenal breakfast!!

It was super clean. I enjoyed the breakfast and coffee. The bed was comfortable and the tv was huge . We were there for boot camp graduation and they had lists printed and available for restaurants in area. They also had info about graduation. Both were helpful. Staff were friendly. Snacks and drinks available in lobby .

I was told housekeeping would come every other day. No one ever came. When I called for towels they brought them right away with an apology. Our garbage was overflowing.

Super clean with very friendly staff! The woman at the front desk was so sweet and helpful and it was always a great time speaking with her. The rooms were sooo cozy and comfortable, I stayed in the executive suite with my husband and we got a great view of the fireworks on the 4th of July. Very close to the naval base which was great for graduation. Breakfast bar was also pretty impressive!

The continental breakfast was excellent. Great selections of warm and cold food options from all the food groups. Our children enjoyed the swimming pool too. Our hotel was located close to the attractions we desired to see (Ravinia, Chicago Botanical Gardens, Illinois Beach State Park). Parking was easy and the elevators worked well and were roomy. Our specific room included a doorbell to press for assistance (for those who are blind or deaf).

There was one time when we had to ask for more pool towels, as they were out. That wasn't too big of a deal though.

Very friendly welcome at Check-in. Plenty of parking close to the entrance. Good and silent AC in the rooms. Breakfast was "ok" but nothing special .

I don't get it why in the US room service now is only offered after 2 or 3 days of stay?! This is not a concern just of this hotel, but a new US trend which I dont get - just clean the room on a daily basis (at least change the towels daily!)

The location was perfect for the naval base graduations. The surrounding stores and restaurants enhanced the stay as well because it was very convenient. The property provided 24/7 access to tea, hot chocolate, hot water, coffee and condiments. Check out is at 12pm. I was able to wrap up my morning meetings before departing.

The chair in our room was dirty. I had to cover it with the extra blanket to work.

Close to the Naval base, property was clean, room was clean, staff were great. Brittanay the manger was also great. Great location and close to restaurants, stores, gas and coffee. Staff also accommodated early check in upon request.

The roads have a ton of potholes, but that’s about it. Not sure if the hotel has anything to do with that since multiple businesses are in the vicinity.

I like that location was close to the Navy base, for which my son graduated. I like the fact that everything was in close proximity to the hotel. Hotel staff was really inviting and very helpful. THANKS! I like that they had a gym,pool,and several entries into the building (with access cards, of course). My experience was 10 out of 10. Thanks Staff.

THE WEATHER!

Most of the staff was above excellent. We only had one staff member who was not the best. Accommodations were made when we decided to stay an additional night. Without any issue.

There was a staff member who was not very friendly. She was quite rude when we attempted to purchase drinks in the lobby. We waited about 5 to 10 mins just to purchase the drinks.

Quite low key and quiet. Even though situated across from a temporary casino, it was little affected by its proximity.

Nothing significant: they could have used some signage for directions to ice, front desk, etc. Biggest issue was the spring loaded doors that forced you to sacrifice your body parts to keep the door open for your wife.
