Have stayed here several times over the past year from early Spring to Summer and have found it to be consistently a very good experience. The grounds are very well kept (from the landscaping to the always clean parking lot), everything inside is clean from the lobby/checkin area, breakfast area, the hallways to the rooms, and the rooms themselves. Housekeeping does a very good job!
My only disappointment was the dramatic increase in nightly rate from April at about $100/night to more than $150+ /night in July. While Bangor does have events in the summer, it is still Bangor! I thought the summer rate was too high.

This is our annual place when we drop off our son at the Univ. of Maine for camp. Clean, bright, friendly, homey, quiet, reasonably-priced, and very close to the highway, myriad stores and eateries, and the Bangor City Forest and Orono Bog Boardwalk. Also a convenient breakfast buffet, evening cookies, rocking chairs on the front porch, and plenty of parking. There has been no real need for us to look elsewhere!
Very little. There was an issue w/ power to the drink and coffee dispensers at breakfast one day which the staff promptly addressed. A bigger variety fruit at the breakfast buffet would be nice.

Room was clean and spacious. Beds were ok. Plenty of parking. A fridge and microwave were in our rooms. We had to wait about 5 minutes to check in, desk clerk was off somewhere and no one else was around. I dislike that there are no "sheers" (curtains) on the windows. Just the room darkening shades and the lack of privacy if you keep the shades open for light is not comfortable. We stayed during busy UMO graduation weekend so prices were really high even though I booked 4 months ahead. Not a good value for the amenities. No pool, no lounge other than where breakfast was served, small room. Location was good, near the mall and all kinds of places to eat. I doubt I would stay here again due to the cost. I just returned from a trip the week before and even the fanciest place we stayed while traveling was not as expensive as this place and several of them had MUCH nicer room and pools and other services.
No sheer curtains on the windows. Just room darkening shades, so either the room had no sunlight, or you had no privacy when the shades were open. Most good hotels have sheers to keep people from looking right into your room.

The staff went out of their way to make sure the room had no strong scents, in fact there was no scent at all which was perfect for my breathing problems. I appreciated the washing and machine and dryer area. The young man at the desk easily exchanged my money for quarters to use in the machine. The bed was very comfortable. The room and halls were also very clean. This property is well attended to.
It is an older property starting to show wear but it is kept very clean. Parts looked newer and I expect they make gradual improvements. Overall I would sty there again.

We arrived late on a chilly evening to a very welcoming lobby, with a fire burning in the fireplace and a friendly staff member at the front desk ready to check us in. Our room was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast the next day was great. There were even gluten free options available, which was much appreciated and the breakfast room manager couldn't have been more helpful.
This is a small nitpick but although the lobby and rooms smelled fine, the corridors smelled of stale cigarette smoke, which I didn't love. The temperature in our room did seem to fluctuate too but we didn't make any effort to adjust the controls, so I guess that's really on us!

So inviting. The desk attendant was fantastic. We arrived late and he was so welcoming and friendly. It literally felt like arriving home after a long drive. I had received a confirmation text and I felt very comfortable knowing that we were all set. (I absolutely love the porch and welcoming staircase. It's why we choose Country Inn when we travel.)
No complaints. Room was spotless. Bed was comfortable. The TV had great color. Was able to watch the end of the basketball game. The breakfast was much appreciated.

This was one of the more efficient places I've stayed. At ckeckin, they had all kinds of handouts for local restaurants, shopping, etc. Checkine and checkout were very easy. I felt that the management anticipated everything I needed as a business traveller. And the location was great.
The breakfast room was definitely over crowded and people had trouble findig a table about 8:00 AM. But the options were great, and it was well-monitored so that anything you needed (other than a table at the busiest times) was there and obvious. Again, management had anticipated what people would need or want.

The front desk staff were friendly and efficient after a long roadtrip from Canada. Our room location was very conveniently located near the lobby, which was helpful with small children and luggage. We did not hear any extra noise at this location. The breakfast room was clean and bright with many seating options and plenty of hot, fresh food to choose from. My kids made their own waffles and it was the highlight of their trip. The shower was hot and the beds were comfy. If we're in the area again, we would choose to stay here.
No complaints!

The room was amazing for a decent price, very clean. Amazing distance to restaurants, barely used my vehicle once we had checked in for our weekend. Target, the Bango mall and many other stores/shops where less than a 5 minuet drive from the property. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the check in and check out process was very easy and took very little time. It was a very quiet and beautiful property, the photos listed where very accurate to what you got. An overall amazing experience and I will be using this location for future stays!
The beds where clean, but could be a bit more comfortable.

We liked the breakfast, and that gluten-free options were available. There could have been more fibrous options for both the gf and wheat options, though. We liked the park-like grounds, and our view out the window of them. We liked a lot that the room was quite clean, and that the bed was comfortable. We also were very pleased that there was regionally-themed and other artwork on the walls. The lighting was decent, with more lamps than usual. The server in the dining room was particularly gracious and kind.
The hallways smelled quite strongly of artificial fragrances from cleaning agents and/or air fresheners, which can be difficult for sensitive people like me. We were glad that frequent sanitizing was being done, though.
