We travel with our dog (55 lbs), so we always look for a dog-friendly lodging. I can’t think of any better place to stay with a dog in the area! I contacted the Inn before making reservation to make sure we can get a dog-friendly room. The innkeeper got back to me promptly. There is a pet fee, which we could pay on site. This historic house is well-kept, and large common area has everything we need and beyond: guest fridge, water server, glasses and mugs, snacks (even cup noodle), amenities, board games, etc. Our room was spacious and very tidy, and there were slippers, bath robes, and even a water bowl and dog treats! In addition to the room we stayed, our dog was allowed to be around the common areas (must be on leash). There is a big park in front, so plenty of space to walk a dog. They have a fenced yard too. The innkeeper, Sara was very helpful and friendly. She responded to my texts very promptly. We will absolutely come back if/when we get a chance to be in the area again!

We only stayed for one night as a stopover on a trip from Coastal Maine to Vermont. We wished we could have stayed for another night. The room was beautiful, and the bed and furniture were very comfortable. The shower also had great water pressure. Check-in was very easy, and the staff were very friendly. There was a well-organized binder in our room that discussed the history of the Inn and points of interest in the area that we appreciated. There was also a really delicious Thai restaurant within a 10-minute walk. We would stay at the Inn at Agora again.

Amazing place in a quite rough neighborhood. Historical building with 3,5 meters ceiling height and amazing rooms that respect the historical heritage of this wonderful house. The staff/owners are nothing less than fantastic and give you all you need for a great stay in Lewiston/Auburn. As boutique as boutique can get. Highly recommended - remember it's not the best area in Lewiston/Auburn but you get real value for money here. Do not pay more for standardized hotels located 50 away from this treasure.

Everything was great :-).

This is a historical inn converted from a rectory. The building has a lot of history but has been well maintained. The staff are attentive to guest comfort and offer a well stocked pantry with snacks and tea and coffee 24/7. The common spaces are comfortable and well appointed. Cleanliness was evident and the gleason room that I stayed in was comfortable. A very large bathroom.

Location didnt feel overly safe for a walk about.

The room was lovely and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was huge. The 24/7 snack kitchen was super. Toiletry items that I forgot to pack were provided. I had my privacy but got help and information promptly as needed.

The weather in Maine. The sidewalk around the building needed to be shoveled. I walked a lot around the neighborhood, and combined with 3 inches of snow and then slush it could have been clearer.

The bed was so comfortable, the attention to detail stunning! Staff who welcomed us was so thorough. A very unique property!

We walked through the park across the street on our way to dinner at the mill facility on Lisbon. After dinner we asked the restaurant manager if we should walk back and she discouraged us. That gave me pause about the neighborhood. We felt very safe earlier however. The exhaust fan in the Msr. Wallace bath really grinds and needs replacement.

They have thought of everything!!

The area where the inn is located seems a bit questionable. Sat on the front porch with a glass of wine and it seems the locals gather in the park to hang out. It wasn’t noisy and the housing in the area didn’t seem to have much “green space” so I think the park is used for hanging out

Billie-Jayne and her team thought of every detail to make our stay feel like home! The historic charm coupled with the attention to detail and care made our experience so special! We highly recommend this beautiful inn for anyone coming to Lewiston! We toured Bates College which was only a few minutes drive from the inn— a wonderful experience!

What a charming inn! From the tall ceilings to the binder of postcards preserved from the early 1900's in the parlor filled with games and a relaxing atmosphere, we loved the step back into history. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The innkeeper is super friendly and has put out little touches of comfort in every hallway - amenities and a great little coffee/snack area.

The neighborhood is sketchy, but the inn has a well-lit parking area and super modern security that makes you feel very safe.

The Inn at Agora is very charming. The Inn Owner is very accommodating and thoughtful. There were small detailed amenities like a stocked pantry with snacks and tea and coffee that added to the coziness of the atmosphere. The building is very old but well preserved and very neat and clean. It could use a few minor cosmetic updates, but those things will most likely come in time, and they lend to it's charm. It is a great location with many eateries, churches, and things to do. I highly recommend it.

The one thing I would consider doing at some point is to replace is the rug on the stairway - it looks rather worn and I would imagine is difficult to keep clean. A new runner at some point would add to the charm of the Inn.
