The location was great! Near downtown beside a small park and near Bowdoin College. The staff was pleasant, busy and stealth-like. They were around and helpful if needed, but not often seen, The well-maintained property is indicative of the staff's high standards and hard work. The buildings are well-maintained with great attention to detail. The buildings are well designed with interesting and high-quality fixtures and interesting features. Everything was comfortable. and well-thought out. The coffee in the Carriage House was special. The rocking Adirondack chairs on the front porch were comfortable with cushioned seats and blankets. The gardens were well kept and, again, someone pays attention to detail, but we never saw anyone working on them. Classy and interesting Inn!

The staff here are just lovely, brimming with friendliness and ready to help wherever possible. The rooms are delightful, clean and well appointed. The adjoining small pub is a cosy venue for drinks and dinner and we had a lovely cooked breakfast in the main house. Situated right opposite the town common, the location of this property is ideal for short walks into town or for relaxing in rocking chairs on the porch. Ample parking (and a short walk to the train station). All in all, I doubt you will find a better choice of hotel for your stay.

Partly the season perhaps (summer/return to college), or possibly the consequence of rising costs/inflation in the US, but this is a relatively expensive choice of hotel. If your budget is healthy, then look no further.

Preserved the character of the original building, but also liked the modern design in the cottage. Great location. Lovely restaurant/bar with great food.

For the price, the bathroom in the room felt utilitarian and not as nice as it could be. Needs an upgrade.

The 165 Inn at Park Row is a beautiful old home, with two additional newer buildings, on the elegant main stretch of downtown Brunswick. The Commons, with farmers markets and so on, is right across Park Row. It is absolutely as central as you can get. Alice, the innkeeper, was dedicated and kind. There was a little glitch with our first room, and she took care of it and also moved us to an upgraded room when it was available. We enjoyed the breakfasts, the library area, and the general ambiance and decor of the Inn.

We were met by Alice who was so sweet and took her time and showed us all the rooms on the first floor and then took us to our room and all its nuances. I had my special needs Best Buddy with me and she did the same with her individually. Very impressive. Our rooms were excellent and the house beautifully maintained. We did not need meals but the breakfast looked amazing and the smell was welcoming in the morning.

Great location near Bowdoin College and center of Brunswick with restaurants and coffee shops. Easy access to Highway 1. Charming inn with very helpful owners/staff.

The "standard double" in the Carriage House (#15) is on the small side. Comfortable and ok for a couple.

We liked the location, the charm and the breakfast the most. The room was comfortable and quiet.

The only thing we would recommend would be to move the window AC to the window that wasn't facing the bed. We were in Room 5 which didn't have a closet, but we didn't need one so didn't care.

It is an well presented, well maintained, attractive, and comfortable property with many accommodation options. We enjoyed the comfortable room, great breakfast, on site bar, sundowners on the porch, and the welcoming and friendly staff.

It is such a lovely property with so many great things going for it, however, if I had to pick one thing I would improve, it would be to make a family room that is not in the basement.

I met a friend for dinner. We dined on the porch and had a very nice meal with a great waiter serving. Nice waitress at breakfast too.

I was surprised to be in an annex but it was fine.
