I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. Every person I met was super nice and willing to help and or answer questions. The property itself is on the water, and I enjoyed the views. Everything was in order and smooth. Parking was not an issue. Everything was fairly good. I did love the place, especially the oysters, crabs, and dock. The closeness to the only restaurant is a bonus as well. I would return again.

I think the place needs a little updating. The walls are paper thin. I could hear and smell smoke from the people next door. The staff made a note and provided me with some air freshener, but it didn't help. I think the place is a little worn, that's all. It just needs some sprucing up and maintaining. The furniture on the balcony looked like it was broken or about to break. The ceiling had darker stains on it, probably due to moisture, which can be difficult to maintain sometimes. Breakfast was a little lackluster, and that was a bummer since there really isn't too much around. I wish there were some sort of facilities outside, but that is nit-picking. I did love the place, especially the oysters, crabs, and dock. The closeness to the only restaurant is a bonus as well.

The view from the balcony and leaving the door open to hear the sounds of the water. Great breakfast setup! Friendly, helpful staff! This is my fourth time staying, I love this place.

The key card entry holder to open to my room was broken/coming off of the wall. It had tape around it which is coming off as well. The key card still works, but there were times I had to try it a few times to be let in. The door did lock from inside, however I think with it being the way it is it may be time to replace now that it is causing entry issues here and there. The hair dryer plug didn't work in my room so I couldn't use the hairdryer, kept trying the outlet but didn't work and I forgot mine.

Location is great! My room was facing StMary's river, and I could hear waves and birds calls, and sunrise was stunning. Staff was helpful and cooperative. Descent breakfast

Noisy neighbors who set up party under my windows. About 20 people who has been loudly laughing, shouting, shrieking, dragging their belongings over concrete and running over the pier - all way after dark. Finally, at 1 AM, after loud burst of laughter and applause after someone caught a fish, I asked them from my balcony to mind other's needs and rights for sleep.

I ran a few properties in my 20s/30s. The developers of this property chose this site well! Outstanding location with spectacular views! Good sized balconies, central heat/air, spacious guest rooms available and more. Next door there is a very nice place to eat surf/turf with additional seating outside on a wonderful deck. If you have been searching for a Florida level hotel near the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac, THIS is it :)

The views are amazing! The room was large (a suit) and clean. The beds comfortable, better than some of the reviews suggest. The restaurant next door is really nice too.

Some small repairs in the room are needed; the picnic tables outside could use a clean. (This is not a criticism, but a suggestion: would have been nice to have something like kayaks or paddle boards available to guests - something to do in the area.)

You stay here for the incredible view and the tranquillity. Hotel is located right on the water. Rooms are larger than most places, including a generous bathroom. King bed (had 4 small pillows) was VERY comfortable. Balcony with Adirondack chairs and plantation shutters in every room. Several homey touches throughout but could use some updates. This was our first time visiting and its truly a hidden gem tucked away. Convenient seafood restaurant & bar, Ruddy Duck, with deck seating right next door (try the seafood flatbread!). Having Perfect weather for a quick getaway was a bonus when it was forecasted to storm. Bikes are available to tour the island. Small town, great for a day or weekend trip. Overall decent value and would come back, especially if theres a great deal in the off season.

The staff attitudes left a lot to be desired. Breakfast was very basic, continental style. For the price it be nice to have some eggs or protein included instead of cheap, carb city (granola bars, waffles, stale banana bread, cheerios and bland coffee)

The unique setting is really incredible. We liked the room and can see there have been recent updates. Loved the mini kitchen area and separate room areas. Our room was mostly great. Extended pier lets you venture to what feels like the middle of the bay. Awesome restaurant right next door.

The smoking situation and firepit/patio area. I always feel a businesses employees/guests should have designated outdoor smoking areas. And right at the front door is not one of them. Theres a side door they could use. Firepit/patio area is overgrown with weeds around and growing up thru all the pavers. Cigarette buuts GALORE, waiting for the next storm to blow them all in the ocean. And nothing for smokers to properly dispose of them. Such a shame to have the waterfront views in a natural habitat yet feel like your sitting in a wasteland area. Please get a weedwacker. Lastly, Lots of burned out litebulbs in the room.

The views were exceptional! Ruddy sucks food was exceptional and all the workers at the hotel and restaurant were exceptional

Rooms need to be updated. Toilet paper holder was ripped off the wall. The screen door was broke. The chairs were broke on the balcony so there was no where to set your feet.

The location was absolutely perfect. I went for a birthday getaway with my spouse, and it was peaceful and quiet. The view was amazing and serene. if you are looking for a getaway without all the noise and crowd this is the best location. DEFINITELY going again.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The location of the Inn is beautiful and peaceful. Rooms are always clean.

After 3 visits I am noticing it needs some small repairs. Lights out, toilet keeps clogging, bifold doors at patio doors are broken. Nothing major but I needed to request a room change this visit and the staff helped me.
